Dr Asemota is very knowledgeable about infertility and reproductive health in general. Apart from thoroughly educating us about our diagnosis, treatment options/procedure, and complications, she also signposted us to additional material that helped to build our confidence. She was very honest and transparent with information about our treatment options and what was the most suitable one for our diagnosis. In our case for instance, our diagnosis was male factor infertility with poor quality sperm (abnormal morphology, low count, low concentration and motility). She was candid enough to make us understand that natural conception was very unlikely and that IUI would not do any better especially after trying for almost 10 years. Because we were financially challenged at the time, we insisted on having a trial of IUI which she was willing to do. Once the IUI failed, she advised that doing another round of IUI might be a waste of resources, and that our best option was ICSI. Dr A is not just passionate about her work and getting good outcomes, but she's also very compassionate about restoring the lost hope and confidence between couples by making them pregnant. I would say that this is one of her greatest strengths. Dr A boasts of a great network of donors who from time to time provide funding to support couples who cannot afford the cost of IVF treatment. Once she realized that we could not afford ICSI, she compassionately signposted us to grants that covered free and up to 50% off IVF cycles. We put out a good statement in our application and were lucky to be the winners of a free IVF cycle which resulted to a positive pregnancy. She is not only kind and respectful to her patients but exhibits very cordial relationship with her team. She is very responsive, and queries directed at her during or after working hours are promptly and adequately responded to. I can hardly make out any weaknesses. Having heard all the negatives about patient doctor encounters, i must say there a very good exceptions out there and Dr A was just outstanding.

Ask as many questions as you can, Dr A and team are patient enough to listen and provide you with answers. Read all the material provided to you and learn to exercise a little bit of patience. The fertility journey is not a sprint!!

For egg retrieval follicular stimulation was done with Gonal-F subcut inj, with Low dose HCG 5 subcut and aspirin, then cetrotide subcut added on the 8th day followed by 5000 HCG, Lupron and Carbagoline before retrieval.

Our Hope Fertility's IVF Cycle was a $12,500 package which could have been reduced to $10K if paid in cash, check or wire transfer on or before cycle due date. Fortunately, we won a 100% (free) IVF cycle which covered the costs of the frozen embryo transfer. Labs were covered by insurance. Cost of medication ranged somewhere between $4000-$6500. Backup medication, coupons and insurance helped to cushion medication cost. Cost of IUI was around $1650

Dr A explained single and multiple embryo transfer and explained the risks of multiple pregnancy especially. The option was mine to chose from, but i sensed a preference for single transfer mainly because of her assessment of my risks and the fact that its my first pregnancy

I kind of already said this in the previous prompt, but I will just reiterate how warm and friendly and approachable she was. Her door was open every time I was there, making her easy to chat with even if I was only there for bloodwork, not there to see her. She would reply to my questions in the patient portal promptly and even went above and beyond helping me understand things about getting a covid vaccination now that I am pregnant, as well as researching something for me about my dental care as a pregnant person that I was not able to find anywhere else. She connected with us on a human level both in and out of the office and that was really meaningful for both my husband and me. During our IUI procedure, I told her how nervous I was about cervical pain from a past experience, and took the time to get Alexa set up for me with music that relaxes me, she was explaining everything so I was not in the dark about what would happen, and again, as it was happening.

Just go! She is amazing. No advice needed.

I wish I could give this information, I forgot the fertility jargon as soon as it was no longer relevant! I know we did a blend of Clomid and injections, and I know that produced 3 mature eggs at the time of our IUI procedure.

When challenges occurred she worked hard to reassure us. She doesn’t sugar coat things, but is very honest and scientific with her answers. She uses compassions but is trustworthy.

Take lots of notes and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

This was the first clinic where we felt like she planned our treatment cycle specifically for us. She helped us decide to pursue treatment for endometriosis before starting a cycle. She even referred us to a surgeon. She was the person we saw at every appointment (except for quick checks mid cycle), especially after pregnancy was achieved. She helped us decide on the best timing for a frozen embryo transfer based on bloodwork. She helped guide our decision to transfer two embryos after a biochemical miscarriage from a cycle at another clinic. She also helped us decide to use progesterone injections and estrogen patches based on my history with medications and outcomes.

The costs are comparable to other clinics in the area. Celeste is very knowledgeable and upfront about costs. She answers any questions and works hard to get as much covered by insurance as possible.

She will only present scientific data and give you all the choices. She makes sure you know the risks and does not sway your decision. We felt able to make an informed decision to transfer two embryos which resulted in one viable pregnancy. Other clinics did not give us that choice or take the time to present all options.

Dr A is initially very friendly. She explained the IVF process well at the first consultation. I transferred to her from an IUI-only clinic. My experience with Dr A compared to my previous clinic: portal messages were responded to within 24 hours but were constantly getting misunderstood (she responded with overt defensiveness on more than one occasion), she cancelled one of my scheduled follow-up calls because she “didn’t think [I] needed it” the day after I went to the ER for a possible ectopic. She is not proactive in communicating next steps (whether immediate next steps or the overall plan). She refuses to let partners in for ultrasounds. She is the only doctor and runs two clinics. She seems to be way too busy to allow for the proper time and care to address each patient. I’ve seen her a couple of times for a couple of minutes except for my ER and FET.

Expect to have limited communication with superficial responses to questions. Expect to have everything communicated via portal rather than phone call, even if a call would be 10x easier than 10 portal messages in a day.

Dr A batches her procedures. Meaning I had to take birth control for 2 weeks to get my cycle onto her schedule. Fully medicated FET. Bc for 2 weeks, Estradiol 3x daily, 81 mg baby aspirin daily, progesterone injections leading up to FET and for 8-14 weeks following.

Dr A said she rarely transfers multiple embryos due to risks. Only if untested and in certain age ranges.

Dr. A is not only a compassionate physician but an ally to the community. She was with us every step of the reciprocal ivf journey to have our first son, even when we thought the odds were against us. She always took time to check on us and make sure we understood everything. We are now again successfully pregnant with twin boys through ivf ( one egg transfer) and so thankful to her for our beautiful family!

Dr. Asemota was very knowledgeable, professional and warm. She was very upfront and realistic about treatment and cost. We were able to reach and communicate with her via a portal. She or the staff responded to us swiftly, even on weekends.

Get comfortable with communicating via a messaging portal. I enjoyed it because I am comfortable with that level of communication, however I can understand if some patients preferred to communicate verbally.

I don’t recall the specific rationales for treatment, however I do know that they were explained prior to the treatment.

My health insurance covered the majority of the cost. The only thing we were responsible for was the double transfer fee (not covered by insurance). That price was $4,500.

She preferred a single transfer, however I advocated for a double transfer. Dr. A, thoroughly communicated the risks involved with a double transfer, and agreed to do so.

During my retrieval cycle I saw her twice. Once for a monitoring appointment and again at my retrieval. She’s very nice and personable but didn’t introduce the person shadowing her and what that person’s role was. What we discussed during my consult wasn’t what happened. She told me we’d freeze on day 3 if it looked like my embryos wouldn’t make it, that didn’t happen. My embryos were frozen on days 5 and 6. The calendar she showed me wasn’t the one I received.

Write everything she says. Ask to record the consult. Ask her to recap everything in an email. Keep a running list of questions. Ask her to meet the financial team, what her processes are for post retrieval and post transfer. Ask her if anyone will follow up with you.

The rational was never explained to me so I don’t know why I have the treatment plan I do. I felt we could’ve been more aggressive, but I never got a chance to speak with her about it. .

I have progyny so my only costs were my deductible

Dr Obehi was very caring, warm and up front about my options to freeze my eggs. She gave me her honest opinion while allowing me the space to take some time and think through my options. Even when I I still was fully sure about moving forward she offered that I at least do the baseline testing to see where I am. After the results came back and everything looked good I was assured that this was the time to freeze my eggs. She presented me with the full expectations of the timing, schedules and drugs which eased my mind. I’m truly grateful I choose her to be my fertility doctor.

I would say be prepared to know what you want first as an outcome and take in the information and suggestions. You will also need to carve out time for the appointments so having a flexible work schedule is important

Dr Asemota assessed that since I have not been on birth control in over a decade, that it would be best to start with a low dose birth control to prepare my body for the hormone treatments thereafter. It worked as I had very minimal side effects throughout the full course of medications

Dr. A is passionate about family planning & doing all in her power to help you achieve your goals. She is compassionate & understands that the infertility journey is difficult. She always first wants to know your wishes are as a patient. She is always present, attentive, and patient. Dr. A makes you feel as if you’re her only patient. During my first IUI procedure I was so nervous. She calmed me down by talking to me about my love of plants & before I knew it the procedure was over. When the 2 rounds of IUI were not successful she met with my husband & I and showed empathy. She assisted us in planning for our next steps, which are IVF. This process is very overwhelming & full of information, Dr. A makes sure that you have a full understanding & answers any questions you might have. She is the most personable Dr. I have ever had.

Go in prepared to ask any questions and share any anxieties or concerns, she’s always willing to listen.

I did 2 rounds of IUI with Dr. A. My protocol was 5mg of letrozole on cycle day 3-7. I was monitored after the letrozole and took a trigger shot about 24 hrs prior to IUI. My first IUI I had 2 mature follicles and my second IUI I had 3 mature follicles. Unfortunately, both rounds were unsuccessful.

Dr. A is extremely compassionate for every single person who walks into her office. She’s so open and helps you understand every single process you or your partner will be going through. She’s very hopeful and I love how after years of infertility, some of that hope she has falls onto me. She is such a kind hearted woman and I truly see her as nothing but a blessing to me.

One piece of advice I’d give a patient is “be hopeful” I know it’s so hard when woman struggle with infertility. It’s hard to keep the hope alive after being let down so many times.

I originally did an IUI with Dr. A, it was my third IUI but my first with her. Insurance denied my request to do IVF and they said another IUI cycle had to be done before IVF. So we did that and unfortunately it failed. We then moved onto IVF and right now I’m in the middle of that cycle. I am scheduled for an FET on April 18th if all goes well.

Monitoring appointments are tough because you are going so frequent. But the staff was very accommodating for my work schedule.

My out of pocket cost is a little over 2,000 dollars because I did have insurance. Unfortunately insurance doesn’t cover everything. The 2,000 is the procedure alone. That doesn’t count the millions of meds I had to pay for out of pocket because I hadn’t hit my deductible yet or insurance just wasn’t covering that specific medicine.

I appreciated my doctor letting me know that she was willing to do a multiple embryo transfer if I wanted to but any pregnancy that’s multiple is a little risky.

You won't see her that often. I've been up to this location several times and have only seen her 6 times. I've read others reviews about Dr. Asemota giving them her phone number but that wasn't my experience. She is nice however.

Ask questions and be persistent...You won't get answers to questions with asking... meaning the staff doesn't typically explain why they are asking you to do something.

Dr Obehi Osemota gave me realistic expectations, but at the same time I had hope even though the odds were against me based on my numbers. She assured me throughout the process that things can change and we aren’t out the dark. Things changed instantly, however going through a cycle with a transfer has given me insight of what to expect. Unfortunately, I have to have another surgery to remove the fibroids and was given the choice to go through another cycle to retrieve more eggs since we are left with only one embryo. Ideally, we would love to since either case I must have surgery prior to transferring the remaining embryo. Dr Asemota provided me with all my options at every given time. I’ve had several surgeries during this process and to think I need to have another one is overwhelming, however I know that I am in good hands and will remain optimistic of what is to come. I’m grateful to have a straightforward doctor that listens to my concerns and provide me with realistic feedback. I’m well informed about what’s happening with my IVF journey.

Ask questions, be open and honest. Do not be afraid to voice your concerns and ask the things that are lingering in your head. Your doctor should provide you with honest professional feedback even if it’s something that may not be pleasing to you. I would also say be patient with yourself. It’s easy to want to rush things, however nothing happens before it’s time. This will save you from a world of headache.

My case required an aggressive form of IVF with high dosage of meds. The protocol started with birth control then afterwards I had to start taking GonalF-450IU, Chorionic Gonad and Cetrotide prior to egg retrieval. My body responded pretty well under this protocol. She was concerned with my numbers that I may not respond, but I was a fast responder to the meds prescribed. Prior to egg retrieval she prescribed Azithromycin, baby aspirin, low-hcg 10IU for the trigger shot. For transfer, I took estradiol 2mg 3 times per day, along with estradiol patches(changed every 3 days), baby aspirin, and progesterone in oil IM shots at night.

1 round of IVF was $14,000 without meds. My meds ran about $5,800 more or less.

Her approach in my opinion was based on the patient’s age.

I was really impressed with Dr.Asemota! She's obviously incredibly intelligent, knows what she is doing and is trustworthy. She was always honest with us. I appreciated how patient she was when I was upset over a result. She has handed me tissues while I cried and told me that it would all be okay, I just needed to keep my head up.

Go in knowing that she is soft-spoken, but very clinical. She's patient and kind, but not warm. I actually appreciated her bedside manner, but I am a person who likes someone to tell me the truth nicely. She does that with no frills.

It was suggested that we try IUI first. I had my fallopian tubes evaluated, they were open and normal so we proceeded with 5 IUI cycles, we had one chemical pregnancy which was devastating, then 4 negatives then we moved onto IVF. I have low ovarian reserve, so egg retrieval wasn't a huge amount. Dr.Asemota was very supportive of a second retrieval and we were so lucky to get a number of embryos we were happy with and ready for transfer.

Since billing didn't file anything correctly and then denies the insurance was ever accepted, although we have written confirmation of such, I don't know. I just know that they won't call us back to help us settle appropriately.

I really liked Dr.Asemota's honesty. She obviously was looking out for our best chance to get pregnant and suggested 2 embryo transfer. We agreed with her.

Dr. Asemota is a wonderful doctor. She is always open to answer questions and if she is not in the building the nurse would provide her my questions and she would email me the answer and if it was something where I needed to speak to her via phone she would call me. When I went through my miscarriage she called me in the middle of the night to check on me.

Make sure you write all your questions down, because I hated after I left the clinic I thought of a question that I couldn't remember while talking to her.

When I began my IUI cycle the procedure was broken down and a calendar was provided to show me the dates of when I would come back, when I would take shots, etc. I knew and understood every step.

I pay through my app called Glow. The app provided discounted cost.

I didn't do IVF therefore we did not discuss this. However, I'm positive if I went that route everything would have been explained and any concerns I would have would be taken into consideration.

Dr. Asemota was kind, professional, knowledgeable, caring, thorough, on time, and encouraging. She was very honest about my chances of conceiving and what I should try first and was so encouraging through the whole process. I really enjoyed having her as a doctor. I never felt rushed, never felt like I left confused, and always looked forward to my next apt.

Be prepared for an emotional roller coaster with any infertility treatment but find comfort in knowing that the doctor and nurses at Aspire are the kindest and most helpful individuals who all want the same thing that you do, for you to have a beautiful and healthy baby :)

Dr. Asemoto suggested that I try IUI first since I had not gone through any infertility treatments yet. She was hopeful that it could work for me since my tubes were clear (I had a procedure done there to make sure that they were). She said if it did not work after 3 tries, that I should go for the IVF procedure. My insurance does not cover any procedure so any procedure is costly for me.

She was very kind and treated me as if I was her own daughter. She made it a point to contact me personally to go over results and make sure I was understanding everything that was going on. There were times I wanted to sit down with her to get more information and she made time to sit with me one on one.

I went right into IVF because I had done 2 IUIs that failed at another practice. Between my failure with IUI and starting IVF I also lost a Fallopian tube.

I feel like she has great potentials, but her clinic was just new when I went and I remember always hear them state "we thriving" but now that I realized it it was that there were afloat on the money coming in. I specifically remember them doing a salin ultrasound and were not and don't have all the equipment to even take pictures, Obehi just wrote note down and send me to a specialist to removed pyllops. Which I feel like that I was being charge for things they were not able to perform correctly.

I will say do you research and try to have some type of knoweledge of IVF or of whatever route you go. This will allow you to be able to advocate for yourself and ask the right questions.Aldo they will try to convince you that they are one of the cheapest but it's not true, search around. I can say they gave me a discount on my second retrevail after I negotiated.

Dr Asemota cares for her patients as though they are her family and she provides direct, compassionate, competent care. These attributes may seem commonplace but I can assure you they are not, Dr Asemota and her practice are unique in all the right ways and she works towards your real version of success (or better) for you and your family. The world talks about nurses and physicians as patient advocates. I truly see Dr Asemota as the advocate for my family...even though I do not have the entire family born just yet. She gave me confidence in her and myself, a realistic viewpoint, and treated me as though nothing was more important than me and the family I so long for. I have referred every friend I have (and acquaintance) that seeks consultation or more to her - both in state and out of state. She is just that good and her care is just that necessary. I trust her with my family and I believe you should trust her with yours as well.

Go with an open mind and receiving heart. She will tell you everything you need to know and she will ensure you feel embraced, engaged, and enlightened.

I do not remember my specific protocols but I do remember that I took a specific regimen based on labs and obtained labs essentially once or twice a week thereafter to titrate the medications appropriately. This was made very easy because you could have your labs drawn in her clinic or at an outside clinic. The process was very easy, smooth, and understandable. I will share one thing specifically. I needed an induction dose of something (sorry, don't remember the name of the med) but it needed to be compounded I believe. I went to a pharmacy to pick it up and the pharmacy alerted me that 1) they do not make this medication and 2) the place that does is 45min away and they close in 30min. Dr Asemota was on it! She spoke with the pharmacist and made arrangements that they would not close until I arrived 67 minutes later (bad traffic!). I have never even heard of a physician being that engaged towards your needs but SHE is ALL IN!

Thankfully, the vast majority of my expenses were covered under insurance.

I did not have embryo transfer and we have not yet discussed it in-depth (one step at a time)

After consulting with 5 other specialist, Dr. A was the answer to my prayers. She was direct and gave me the answers I needed to hear after 6+ years of infertility. She gave me my options and explained why others were not recommended, I appreciate the honesty and professionalism she demonstrated from day 1.

Don't waste your time with these other fertility organizations, Dr. A will be the last doctor you'll need in this journey. I wish I would have skipped the other 5 people I went to, and just came to her from the very beginning of my journey.

The cost was very reasonable, and not only was it reviewed with me from day 1, it was provided to me to bring home as a reference.

Dr. A asked me what I wanted to do, prior to sharing her recommendations. I didn't feel pressured one way or another.

I would have to say her strengths are the way she explains what’s happen during your treatment. Even when the news may not be so great. She had a way of giving us hope. And the fact that we were able to reach her anytime on her personal cellphone. How many doctors do that? She just made me feel comfortable and like the success of us adding to our family. Was her top priority!!!

Just give her a chance. You will not be disappointed and you will walk away feeling like she’s family. I really don’t know how I going to do with not talking to her anymore. She has made our dreams come true. I’m forever grateful!!

My tubes where blocked. So the course of treatment best for us was IVF. We did the egg retriever and then I had an issue that put me in the hospital for several months. And once my body healed Covid19 hit. And they clinic was shut down for a while. We did end up doing 2 eggs transfer. Which took and I’m know 9 weeks pregnant. With one healthy baby.

My insurance covered everything.

She suggested one transfer but we wanted 2. And that’s what she did.

Dr. Asemota was very passionate and caring. You can definitely tell she loves what she does and puts her all into it. She explains thing in terms you can understand, and is always there for any questions you may have.
