Dr. Parry is very carrying about his patients. No matter our concerns or questions, he would state the facts and give us peace of mind...would walk us through each procedure so we would know what to expect...only had 2 embryos so single transfer was best for us...If there is any concern you have, don't be afraid to talk about it with Dr. Parry.
The clinic [Positive Steps Fertility] is very spacious amd well set up for privacy. Our treatment was partly during covid so the clinic was always clean and organized. The clinic is easily accessible and easy to find. The clinic is well equipped for all procedures...All of the staff greeted me and my husband every time we walked through the door. They smiled, answered any questions we had and held our hand through the while process.

We completed three cycles [with Dr. Preston Parry]...Each cycle we used a trigger shot and completed IUI...is very open with patients when discussing treatment options. Though our treatments have not been successful (yet) I feel that he is likely to figure out the right plan of care for me. He is not “cookie cutter” in his approach and always adjusted medications based on my body’s response to failed treatments...
clinic [Positive Steps Fertility] is new and has very up to date equipment. I always felt comfortable and felt that I had plenty of privacy. My husband felt the same. There is really nothing negative about the clinic experience...3 IUIs for $1500 including medication. $150 consultation and $900 for diagnostic ultrasounds...[Dr. Parry] is very open with patients when discussing treatment options. Each cycle we used a trigger shot and completed IUI at approx. 36 hours after trigger.

Dr. Parry presents himself to be very knowledgeable. He is very professional and welcoming when discussing possible options. My husband and I remain hopeful that we will conceive and welcome a healthy baby...The energy that he and his staff brings is very welcoming and warm...Write down any questions you may have. The [Positive Steps Fertility] staff greets you cheerfully upon entering the building, which is refreshing for me because I am nervous ball of nerves about possible outcomes. I would love to see more diverse staff. Describe the protocols Preston Parry (OB/GYN) used in your cycles at Positive Steps Fertility and their degree of success.
We discussed many options and then did further testing to make sure my body was able to become pregnant. The parryscope was one of the first things we did to make sure my tubes were able to be used correctly. He offered us to go straight to IUI, but we opted for timed intercourse. That was not successful, so we opted for the package of 3 IUIs. We are currently on the 2nd IUI as the first did fail. After this IUI, we will reevaluate together to see what the next step should be.

You can just feel that you aren’t just another patient or procedure to them, they actually care about you and your outcome. The staff makes you feel like family. They have laughed with us and cried with us and have been nothing but attentive and encouraging through this whole infertility journey
Describe the protocols Preston Parry (OB/GYN) used in your cycles at Positive Steps Fertility and their degree of success.
Starting out, because we had already seen a different doctor and gone through a few IUI's with no success, Dr. Parry and his NP Brittany recommended that I up the dose of medication that I had taken with the previous doctor and we agreed to do an IUI with the next cycle. This first IUI resulted in a positive pregnancy test. Sadly, we lost this pregnancy only a few short weeks in which was confirmed at our next 2 follow up ultrasound appointments. I had had no bleeding at this point so medication was given to help me pass everything safely. During this time all of the staff at Positive Steps were very attentive and comforting and answered all questions we had. After giving my body proper time to heal, we continued and tried again hoping to get the same positive result. After the 5th negative test Dr. Parry met with us and explained what he felt was the next step for us. Due to multiple failed IUI's and our age, he suggested IVF. This is currently where we are at in our journey and hope to proceed with IVF in the coming months.

They have laughed with us and cried with us and have been nothing but attentive and encouraging through this whole infertility journey. Rather we are in clinic or called with a question, they take the time to thoroughly explain each and every detail of what’s going on and what’s next, even going as far as to personally call to check on me during an ER visit. I would not hesitate to recommend this clinic and these providers to anyone looking to start their fertility journey.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Preston Parry (OB/GYN) at Positive Steps Fertility.
I do not remember what our original consultation cost was but I do remember it being half or less than half of what we paid at our previous doctor's office. As far as the IUIs, the price was $1500 for a cycle of 3 IUIs including the ultrasounds at Positive Steps compared to $1000 at every visit at the previous doctors office.

Doctor Parry has always been great at communicating. He uses a lot of research and statistics in his answers. Shows everything. Explains everything. Personable. I’ve seen him majority of the time I have been at the clinic...I have PCOS. We used Letrozle and IUI with injection. All 3 IUIs failed. 1 cycle was canceled due to too many egg follicles. We currently are awaiting IVF....
[at Positive Steps Fertility] Too many patients to keep track of. I know it can be hard. I got lost in the crack somewhere. Communication is lacking on some of the nurses, not all. Communication regarding what is included in IUI packages, price for some procedures aren’t completely explained. I was also emailed another patients information by accident early in my journey. There seems to be a little of a turn over on nursing staff...

Too many patients to keep track of. I know it can be hard. I got lost in the crack somewhere. Communication is lacking on some of the nurses, not all. Communication regarding what is included in IUI packages, price for some procedures aren’t completely explained. I was also emailed another patients information by accident early in my journey. There seems to be a little of a turn over on nursing staff. Most nurses are the same but there is 1-3 I haven’t seen again or are new every time I go. Generally majority of the nursing staff is very nice, informative of procedures when you are in office, answers questions and friendly.
Describe your experience with Positive Steps Fertility.
Overall it is a great clinic. The front staff has always been friendly by phone or in office. When I misunderstood or had questions, the front staff has always took care of it right away. Nurses over all have been good, some may could work on their bedside manner but generally have been great. My calls are always return in a timely manner. Mask protocols always been enforced when needed. Security badging in and out of areas. Wait is not long at all. Longest wait time was maybe 2 hrs max. According to pricing other clinics, their prices seem lower in cost overall.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Preston Parry (OB/GYN) at Positive Steps Fertility.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Positive Steps Fertility.
Early in journey I was emailed another patients information. We had the same last name. I emailed the clinic back about it and never got a response. I never got MY copy and the mess up was never addressed. I let it go. It wasn’t any major medical information listed other than the patient name and DOB and what they needed to do according to their consultation.

The [Positive Steps Fertility] clinic has a fantastic nursing and office staff. Everyone communicates effectively and consistently and I never leave with questions that aren't fully answered. I feel like I've gained extra friends just from the staff and uow genuine and caring they truly are...Sara NP and Sarah nurse as my staff and they are FANTASTIC. I have never felt more comfortable being under the care of a Drs office all because of them. Both are ao knowledgeable and compassionate about their work.
How was your experience with Preston Parry (OB/GYN) at Positive Steps Fertility?
Dr Parry never made us feel rushed during any visit even if it was just a blood draw, he would stop by the lab chair to chat and check in. We received his personal cell number to reach him before 10Pm if we had concerns or questions. We absolutely loved the Parryscope procedure he uses and that helped find an issue with the shape of my uterus we didn’t know about even after going to a different RE for 7 years and doing 4 IUIs and 1 Round of IVF with that previous doctor. He pays attention to all details and found I have a touch of Ashermanns syndrome resulting from scar tissue typically from multiple surgeries I had with the previous doctor (DNCs and Ectopic Pregnancy). Dr Party is very knowledgeable in this field and works to grow his knowledge continuously. We feel very confident in his abilities.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Preston Parry (OB/GYN) at Positive Steps Fertility?
Bring a notebook to appts to jot down all the information you will gain. He answered questions we had before we could even ask them!

Describe the protocols Preston Parry (OB/GYN) used in your cycles at Positive Steps Fertility and their degree of success.
We decided to see Dr Parry as a2nd opinion after seeing another RE for many years and having several losses and surgeries. Dr Parry used the Parryscope to find scar tissue and an irregular shaped uterus. We scheduled and had a successful surgery to widen my uterus and repair the tissue as much as possible. We then scheduled IVF for a few months in the future (my decision to wait that long). We waited until my cycle started in March 2022 and began taking Estradiol before starting injections. I injected Menopur and Follistim each day and eventually added in Ganarelix we wanted to freeze all embryos. I was seen at his clinic for ultrasounds and blood work multiple times leading up to the egg retrieveal. We stopped injections 3 days before retrieval exvept the trigger shot 2 days prior. I had my egg retrieval today.

Describe the protocols Preston Parry (OB/GYN) used in your cycles at Positive Steps Fertility and their degree of success.
Dr. Parry first did the Perryscope procedure to diagnose any female fertility issues. I had to have a polypectomy procedure as well as surgery to remove a septum from my uterus. This was to get my uterus ready/safe to conceive. I took letrazole for 2 cycles and took a trigger shot to induce ovulation so we could go through the IUI process.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Positive Steps Fertility. (Assigned nurse: Lauren)
They are very personable and care about me. They always make me feel like I'm the most important patient in the clinic. They call me by name when I'm there and make me feel like we have known each other forever.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Positive Steps Fertility.
There was only one issue I had with the clinic. My husband was to be referred to a urologist and they were to send his referral and information to the urologist. We were told it would take about 2 weeks to hear from the urologist. After about 4 weeks I called Positive Steps to see what was going on. The nurse that answered told me they failed to send his referral in. She was very apologetic and I truly believe it was just human error.

Dr. Parry is extremely knowledgeable and ambitious. I am advanced maternal age (36 at the time)...believes in aggressively approaching infertility...usually prescribe progesterone to IUI patients, but I know for a fact that my luteal phase is very short so they approved me to start 200mg of progesterone vaginally on cycle day 17. This was a successful cycle for me and i now have a healthy 11 month old...
Strengths [of Positive Steps Fertility]: some of the best success rates in the state, ambitious treatment, clean environment, responsiveness after hours Weaknesses: not as receptive to individualized tweaks to treatment as they could be and not as open to alternative treatments ie vitamins, homeopathic complimentary treatments, and lifestyle changes...Nursing staff were fantastic. Every nurse I came in contact with was compassionate and understanding
How was your experience with Preston Parry (OB/GYN) at Positive Steps Fertility?
Dr. Parry is extremely knowledgeable and ambitious. I am advanced maternal age (36 at the time), so time was not on my side. He believes in aggressively approaching infertility, which I can appreciate at my age.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Preston Parry (OB/GYN) at Positive Steps Fertility?
Write down questions and be prepared to advocate for answers. This is your journey and you are paying good money to be a priority. Make sure you are comfortable with the plan of care and if not, speak up!
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Preston Parry (OB/GYN) at Positive Steps Fertility?
For the most part they treated me like a human, but things would get rushed sometimes. I would always carry questions though and ensure that I got answers.
Describe the protocols Preston Parry (OB/GYN) used in your cycles at Positive Steps Fertility and their degree of success.
In my last IUI attempt, we did the first 6 cycle days of letrozole 7.5mg with my ultrasound to check follicles on cycle day 9. My follicles weren’t the greatest, so they had me take 2-3 more days of letrozole. I then did an HCG trigger shot at 11:30pm on cycle day 12. IUI was at 10:30am on cycle day 14. They don’t usually prescribe progesterone to IUI patients, but I know for a fact that my luteal phase is very short so they approved me to start 200mg of progesterone vaginally on cycle day 17. This was a successful cycle for me and i now have a healthy 11 month old.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Positive Steps Fertility.
Nursing staff were fantastic. Every nurse I came in contact with was compassionate and understanding. All of my IUIs were with Brittany the NP and she is absolutely phenomenal. She was supposed to perform my parryscope as well but Dr. Parry took it over at the last moment. I 100% trust Brittany every step of the way. She was extremely caring and took the time to answer all of my questions. Her bedside manner is great!

$150 new patient consultation, $1000 parryscope, $1400 IUI (3 attempts with ultrasound package) and $175 extra ultrasound at 9 weeks pregnant. We froze my husbands sperm too and I believe that was a couple hundred dollars too.

I really felt like when [Dr. Parry] was managing my care, that things were being done correctly and efficiently. I never left feeling like I was just there to keep the lights on. I am now being seen at the shreveport clinic and my care is being managed by his np and I have never felt as invisible as i do now...He personally called me after my failed parryscope and talked to me about it and what would happen next.
Very nice and modern, but poorly staffed. Don't expect to get a call back within a timely manner. I can't speak on the madison clinic, but the shreveport clinic needs a few more hands to help...I waited all day to get the results for my second beta, and when she finally got back to me (with bad news) I felt like I was being rushed off the phone, she literally let out a little giggle when we talked..

Iui was fairly affordable at around 1600 for three rounds (3 US, 3 IUIs) however, ive needed multiple USs for each round as I don't respond well to letrozole and I now pay for all ultrasounds and lab work.

We were really just blown away by their kindness.
Describe the protocols Preston Parry (OB/GYN) used in your cycles at Positive Steps Fertility and their degree of success.
Honestly this was a few years ago and I can’t specifically remember. We did the Parry Scope first which should the polyps in my uterus and slow to not much flow into my left tube. I had a procedure to remove the polyps and began birth control to regulate my cycle. We waited a month I believe and I began oral medicine and a trigger shot during ovulation. I had a negative pregnancy test on my first IUI so we adjusted my IUI date for my 2nd cycle and it resulted in the birth of my daughter. Dr.Parry was very precise in the timing for everything when it came to the medication and IUI treatment.

Dr. Parry and his team have taken time and provided quality care for my husband and I as we have gone through the treatment process. They have given us a great deal of support when we needed it the most. Anytime we have had questions or needed something from them they have gone above and beyond to meet our needs. Dr. Parry and staff at Positive Steps Fertility are simply the best at what they do!
Describe the protocols Preston Parry (OB/GYN) used in your cycles at Positive Steps Fertility and their degree of success.
Letrozol treatment on cycle days 3-7; ultrasound on cycle day 12; IUI on cycle day 14 or 15
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Positive Steps Fertility.
The nurses at Positive Steps Fertility are wonderful in how they approach and care for patients and their families. They are very supportive, kind, and caring. On the days, I needed encouragement, which was nearly everyday I had an appointment, they were there, made me smile and uplifted my spirit. They didn’t only do this with me but with all patients. I got to watch them celebrate with a family who brought their newborn by to visit. It was so touching to see how happy they were for them and their new addition. They’re simply the best!
Describe your experience with Positive Steps Fertility.
Positive Steps Fertility has a welcoming atmosphere with supportive and knowledgeable staff who provide excellent service to the patients they serve. From the moment that you walk in the door, it’s as though a weight has been lifted because the space is inviting and relaxing. Patients are immediately greeted by Mrs. Tracy who quickly notifies staff of your arrival. Nurses and other staff members are professional and efficiently take care of patients as they undergo the treatment process. They are open to inquiries and make themselves available to accommodate each individual’s needs; one nurse even gave her personal phone number in case we had questions regarding the process of giving an HCG shot. As for weaknesses, I can think of none.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Preston Parry (OB/GYN) at Positive Steps Fertility?
Don't be afraid to ask questions and their opinions.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Preston Parry (OB/GYN) at Positive Steps Fertility?
Dr. Parry and his staff are wonderful and genuinely show care and concern and positiveness towards me. I honestly believe they want me to become pregnant just as much as I do!
Describe the protocols Preston Parry (OB/GYN) used in your cycles at Positive Steps Fertility and their degree of success.
Did 3 IUI's with sperm donor. Would start each month out on the 2nd or 3rd day of my cycle taking Letrozole through day 7 or 8 of my cycle. Would go in on day 10 or 11 and get and ultrasound of follicles so they could measure the size and quantity of them. The follicles would always be a good size and ready for my trigger shot, so they'd give my trigger shot that day. The following day, I would come back to get the IUI. Each month, they stated my body and follicles responded to the medication very well and were good sizes (size 17 to 21). The 1st month I had 2 good size follicles (size 21). The 2nd month I had only 2 follicles, but only 1 good size. (size 7 and size 21.) The 3rd month I had 2 good sized follicles (size 17.5 and size 21).
Describe your experience with your nurse at Positive Steps Fertility. (Assigned nurse: Vikki Butler)
Brittney was 1st assigned to me, but she was out on maternity leave shortly after I started, so they reassigned Vikki to me. Both were very loving and caring and knowledgeable. Vikki did our first IUI because Dr. parry was out of town.
Describe your experience with Positive Steps Fertility.
The Clinic is Positive Steps Fertility in Madison, MS with Dr. Preston Parry. The clinic was not listed on this review site, but the doctor was. I was disappointed that the clinic did not take Care Credit. Fertility treatments are major expensive and not covered by insurance in the state of MS. It's hard to come up with expenses up front and Care Credit would be a great addition. Other than that, the clinic is great! Very up to date, latest technology, very clean and organized.

My experience as Dr. Parry’s patient has been wonderful. He is very knowledgeable about fertility and I love the fact that he gives you the statics as it relates to your specific situation. Honestly there is nothing bad I can say about him. ... I have done 2 IUI cycles. With both I was give Letrozole. The first cycle I took Letrozole 2.5mg 4 tablets for 4 days the first day of my period and then I came in for my ultrasound and the next day the procedure was done. The 2nd cycle I took Letrozole 2.5mg 4 tablets the 3rd day of my period for 4 days. Then came for an ultrasound 2days later and had the procedure done the next day.
The clinic [University of Mississippi] has a great ambience. It is not like a regular doctor office. You do not see a lot of people in the waiting area it seem as if the make sure not to over schedule. They make you feel so welcome. ... My husband and I paid for everything out of pocket because they do not accept insurance, however it was great to pay up front and not have to worry about a bill coming later. His fees are very reasonable and affordable.

I am still under Dr. Parry's care, but so far I have had a good experience with him. He is kind to answer all my questions and reassure me, while not offering false hope. He has a plan B for everything and I appreciate that...Write your questions down on your phone and have them ready. Understand that he cannot diagnose you until you have been tested. Have the parryscope even if you are skeptical that it will reveal anything.

Dr Parry has always made me feel like I was welcome at the clinic. He also has made phone calls to me personally to check in how I am doing or to see if we needed anything. He is wonderful...He is very kind. I developed a mass in my chest and he called to check on me and to pray with me that all would come back clear. As well as let me know he would be there if we needed anything. Called us family. Cried with us.

Costs are communicated before you commit to appointments, even posted. Parryscope was $900 for a full fertility screening with ultrasounds and saline testing the tubes. Three rounds of IUI including 3 ultrasounds and 3 inseminations was $1200. The price did go up to $1500 in 2021. BCBSMS does not cover fertility visits so they make it as affordable for us as possible.

Describe your experience with Positive Steps Fertility.
Positive steps is very nice and makes you feel like you are getting the best care possible. Very high tech and modern. They always offer to do anything for us, and whenever our first round of IUI failed they made me feel like they really cared. My husband and I have not noticed any weaknesses about the clinic.

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
Dr. Party made us feel so comfortable. He made sure that we understood everything that he talked about and made sure to give us time to ask questions. ... He explained the Parryscope and that will be out next step. He is interested in finding the exact source of the problem. ... He made sure to let us know that he and his staff [Positive Steps Fertility] were there for us and that we could come to then with anything. I can not say enough good things about him and his staff.
Everyone that I came in contact with at this clinic made feel like I mattered. They talked to me like I was family or a friend and not in a ‘stuffy’ manner. I absolutely fell in love with everyone at this practice. ... Beautiful building and very accommodating. Easy to find and maneuver around the clinic. Felt like a swanky hotel and not like your normal clinic setting. I can not say enough good things about this facility.
