Dr. Danis was kind and thorough....remembered personal details...easy to communicate with...2 rounds of egg retrievals and 1 transfer cycle...Antagonist Protocol plus ICSI...1 healthy embryo from 11 retrieved eggs...Microdose Lupron Flare Protocol plus ICSI...2 healthy embryos from 15 retrieved eggs...had success with our first transfer
heard that RMA is a bit of a factory, but I found that to be beneficial. Fertility treatments involve A LOT of appointments and RMA gets you in and out of the office quickly. The waiting room is comfortable and the nurses are pros...Efficient but since there were so many people on the team, I wasn't always sure who to contact
How was your experience with Rachel Danis at RMA of New York?
I switched clinics after meeting Dr. Danis for a second opinion. We did 2 rounds of egg retrievals and 1 transfer cycle. Only one of my ovaries responded during the first round, so Dr. Danis used a different protocol for the second to which my body responded better. She made helpful and considerate recommendations regarding treatment considering my age, health, and work schedule. She was blunt enough that I believed her advice but remained positive. I have her to thank for my beautiful and healthy daughter.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Rachel Danis at RMA of New York?
Take notes - Dr. Danis, like most doctors, will give you a lot of information very quickly but if you need to double check something then email is best.

Dr. Danis was kind and thorough even when the clinic was clearly very busy. She remembered personal details and was easy to communicate with.
Describe the protocols Rachel Danis used in your cycles at RMA of New York and their degree of success.
First egg retrieval Dr. used Antagonist Protocol plus ICSI and result was 1 healthy embryo from 11 retrieved eggs. She recommended doing a second round of egg retrieval before attempting a transfer because of our desire for a sibling and our age. 2nd round she used Microdose Lupron Flare Protocol plus ICSI and result was 2 healthy embryos from 15 retrieved eggs. We had success with our first transfer and now have a beautiful and healthy daughter, plus 2 frozen embryos for future use.

Describe your experience with RMA of New York.
I’ve heard that RMA is a bit of a factory, but I found that to be beneficial. Fertility treatments involve A LOT of appointments and RMA gets you in and out of the office quickly. The waiting room is comfortable and the nurses are pros. The clinic is easy to reach from public transit and bonus - close to Trader Joe's.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Rachel Danis at RMA of New York.
- Semen Analysis $180 - ICSI $3000. - $2400 genetic testing plus $155 per embryo that we test - $450 for anesthesia - RMA gives first year of embryo storage for free. $600 every 6 months beyond that - Retrieval and transfer is 10,000 with insurance and 18,000 without - Retrieval without transfer is 15,000 out of pocket - Transfer is 4,000 for a second round bc it’s self pay and no discount or bundling. - Retrieval meds are $4000 out of pocket.
Describe Rachel Danis's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at RMA of New York.
I appreciate that single embryo transfer is the standard given my age and history, and Dr. Danis was very clear on the reasons.
