$20k + meds ($3,500) for 2 complete cycles up front. This included 2 retrievals, 2 fresh transfers, AND 2 FETs. We only needed 1 though. Our first transfer resulted in twins!...Dr. Sherbahn was the best of the best in my opinion. He didn't just tell me what I wanted to hear which I appreciated. He was honest and kind and I give him 100% credit for my TWINS! We are so grateful we went to him for a second opinion after a failed IVF cycle prior with a different doctor.

The nurses at AFCC [Advanced Fertility Center of Chicago] are awesome- always returned calls and answered our questions....The clinic was always very busy- leading up to stim and the actual decision to do IVF with the clinic we did feel just like a number in the craziness of the day.

This physician does not have strong social skills and says things during the initial consolation that seem a bit odd. He is very concerned with his statistics and reminds you of them several times during the consultation. Beware, he will cancel your cycle your IVF cycle if you have a poor response to stimulation meds. Therefore, the statistics can be very misleading, as he cherry picks his patients. We ended up going to another clinic and doing several rounds of IVF despite my poor response, that doctor was willing to try it.

The clinic [Advanced Fertility Center of Chicago] is well run. Most of the time I was seen on my scheduled appointment time & everything was well taken care of & explained. I was always able to reach a nurse if I had any additional questions... Most of the nurses were great & did a great job walking you through all the steps.... After the loss of my twins I wanted to discuss further action with the doctor & was told the only it would cost $2 per minute because the doctor was too busy.

I just began seeing him [Dr Richard Sherbahn]. My experience has been positive this far....He spent time to review my entire history and chart, and answered all my questions. He was caring and honest....Make sure to have all your information available and ready, be prepared to ask questions....The nursing staff [at Advanced Fertility Center of Chicago] is fantastic. They are caring, responsive and patient....Patient focused clinic with high success rates. You do need feel like mother number as you do with a large big box practices in the area.

[Nurses] very attentive and easy to contact. Friendly and compassionate...Personal nurse assigned to me who I could call and email directly. A relationship developed.

Once I had the miscarriage, he [Dr. Richard Sherbahn] refused to discuss what happened or what tests could be done to find answers do that we could know if we should move on or not. He refused to answer questions about the egg donor or the embryos, or the lab conditions.... He was not interested in helping me after my miscarriage. It was the darkest time in my journey-with no way to understand if or how to move forward.

waiting is kind of long. clinic [Advanced Fert] staff is nice. some nurses were a bit rude. overall nice clinic. clinic could be a bit more welcoming...sue was very nice. always called me on time to update my next steps. just wish she would explain test results more thoroughly with me...i wish i would have been more informed of what was goin on. egg quality sperm quality thorough explanation of test results..and what my best options would be....was waiting for prescriptions to be called in. was told it was faxed but pharmacy never rcvd. waited 2 days for drugs to be called in and 2 days to rcv
