Dr Anderson has a long wait until you can see him at your first appointment. It took me 6 weeks until I was able to come in. That felt long given that every moment counts when you're "older" and TTC...by the time I saw Dr Anderson I had found out I conceived naturally. road...he was very friendly and had a good attitude despite the fact that I didn't necessarily need his services anymore. He had studied my chart, shared his POV on my diagnosis (which was different from the first fertility doctor I saw) and then proceeded to discuss what I should look out for during my first trimester.
all the nurses [at Southern Center for Reproductive Medicine] are very warm, knowledgeable and calming. I have spoken to or worked with about 6 different nurses and they're all been excellent. They follow-up in a very timely manner...The clinic is a well oiled machine; they are extremely organized and efficient. The billing is on point, which is such a huge relief given how frequently I'm in the office and the complexity and volume of paperwork. This has allowed me to not stress on the admin details and focus on staying healthy and happy.
How was your experience with Robert Anderson at Southern California Center for Reproductive Medicine (US Fertility Network clinic)?
Dr Anderson has a long wait until you can see him at your first appointment. It took me 6 weeks until I was able to come in. That felt long given that every moment counts when you're "older" and TTC. By a stroke of luck and good fortune, by the time I saw Dr Anderson I had found out I conceived naturally. I still took the appointment with Dr Anderson because I wanted to meet him, test the chemistry and understand who he is, might I need a fertility doctor down the road.
What struck me as he walked into the office, he was very friendly and had a good attitude despite the fact that I didn't necessarily need his services anymore. He had studied my chart, shared his POV on my diagnosis (which was different from the first fertility doctor I saw) and then proceeded to discuss what I should look out for during my first trimester.
I've been working with him the last few weeks, while in parallel seeing my OBGYN. He shared that it was important that I check my hormone levels, in case I needed to increase my levels to support the embryo / fetus in the first crucial weeks. It turned out my progesterone levels were low so we started hormone therapy immediately. This has been extremely beneficial considering my OB would not see me until much later in the trimester.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Robert Anderson at Southern California Center for Reproductive Medicine (US Fertility Network clinic)?
He and his office / team a worth the wait, if you feel the time to come in and see him is too long. I can't praise them enough.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Robert Anderson at Southern California Center for Reproductive Medicine (US Fertility Network clinic)?
Dr Anderson and his team are very thorough and personable. They read your chart prior to seeing / speaking with you - I never have to recall my details with them. Although he's a very busy doctor, they plan and space out the appointments well so you're not sitting in the waiting room with a ton of other patents, they also get you in in a very timely manner. Dr Anderson is friendly, knowledgeable and shares information in a very direct way.

I did not go forward with any fertility treatments but was under his care for hormone therapy during my first trimester.

He [Dr. Robert Anderson] has a rather complex steroid treatment through the whole preparation of lining and after transfer which worked well for me. He does not overdiagnose uterine abnormalities, which I feel my previous doctor did...He has a very thorough protocol for uterine lining, using two daily shots of hormone (I can't remember if it is progesterone or estrogen)...He's thorough and to the point. Other than for the actual procedures and exam, your communication will be done through nurses.
Weakness: all non-person communication [at S CA Center for Reproductive Medicine] is done through nurses. I think this is necessary for the clinic to run, but I think everyone would prefer to talk to the doctor...Other than for the actual procedures and exam, your communication will be done through nurses...There were different nurses each day, some were better than others...The embryo was created at a different lab. He was willing to do the transfer and his lab people were great at communicating with me about the delivery.
How was your experience with Robert Anderson at Southern California Center for Reproductive Medicine (US Fertility Network clinic)?
Dr. Anderson has great success rates and does all transfers himself. I had a frozen embryo from my own eggs transferred to his clinic. His prices are very reasonable. He has a very thorough protocol for uterine lining, using two daily shots of hormone (I can't remember if it is progesterone or estrogen). He also has his patients on low-dose steroids, which worked well for me because I have Hashimoto's, although Dr. Anderson did not think this was a problem.

Dr. Anderson was very nice, and his nurses were also nice.
Describe the protocols Robert Anderson used in your cycles at Southern California Center for Reproductive Medicine (US Fertility Network clinic) and their degree of success.
I only did an embryo transfer with Dr. Anderson. The embryo was created at a different lab. He was willing to do the transfer and his lab people were great at communicating with me about the delivery. He uses injections of progesterone twice a day, at 1mL, which was much less painful than at my previous clinic where I originally was going to transfer, which had a single shot of 2mL. He has a rather complex steroid treatment through the whole preparation of lining and after transfer which worked well for me. He does not overdiagnose uterine abnormalities, which I feel my previous doctor did.

Describe your experience with Southern California Center for Reproductive Medicine (US Fertility Network clinic).
Strength: high success rate, only one doctor so you know that the success rate is due to him and his lab.
Weakness: all non-person communication is done through nurses. I think this is necessary for the clinic to run, but I think everyone would prefer to talk to the doctor.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Robert Anderson at Southern California Center for Reproductive Medicine (US Fertility Network clinic).
I had an ultrasound and he looked inside my uterus, it was around $700. I had a transfer, it was about $2400 I think.
Describe Robert Anderson's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Southern California Center for Reproductive Medicine (US Fertility Network clinic).
I believe he exclusively does eSET.

He’s [Dr. Anderson] straight forward and honest. Not super warm. ... He’s very knowledgeable and I felt like he was really following me and adjusting me as I needed. Not just a protocol. We got the furthest we have ever gotten with him. ... Customized protocols. He was honest about what he thought. ... One thing he doesn’t do is put you on BCP and does blood work frequently and bases meds on the blood levels.
I think he’s [Dr. Anderson] the best option in Orange County area. The staff is great and he’s really honest. He doesn’t want to just get your money. He wants to make sure the numbers are right. ... They [nursing staff] were all really nice and empathic. ... You have to pay for parking less then 30 mins. ... He won’t do multiples because of risk. I appreciated that. ... He’s very busy. Has his own lab.
