After doing IVF seven years straight [Dr. Schenken] was the only doctor that were able to finally enable me to become pregnant. He listen to all my concerns he was willing to do above and beyond to make this happen for me and my family. He made the process easy and he was easy to understand the process...He did the natural FET. What is basically you have to ovulate regularly. And once you ovulate he will monitor you to do your frozen embryo transfer...I can’t express my joy and happiness of him being my doctor...pregnant now at 32 weeks
The strength of the clinic [at UT Medicine Fertility Center] that is a very small clinic that give you individual care. The weakness because it is a small clinic you have a waiting period to be seen. And they do not have a lot of bells and whistle’s but they have the Ivf down to a science that which makes it worth going there. Even though it’s a learning hospital it is worth going in a very well-kept secret here in San Antonio

Luckily we were covered by Tricare for all our labs in doctors appointment and just had to pay out of pocket for the frozen embryo transfer
Describe Robert Schenken's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at UT Medicine Fertility Center.
It’s really up to the doctor what he feels is best for your condition and your situation if you should do more than one embryo transfer.

Unfortunately he [Dr. Schenken] only worked a couple days a week but would always call me and speak about my treatments. He wanted to make sure I got what I needed and even though the end result did not end in a pregnancy. He was great for everything. He helped me get a diagnosis that no other doctor gave me. I would have like to continue treatment with him but due to a move to a different state, I am unable to see him again...
The place [UT Medicine Fertility Center] is huge, make sure you give yourself time to find parking and the floor you need. The place is super clean and well kept. It is quite impressive for a medical center. Park in the garage for cheaper and closing parking...Nursing staff was great and helpful. Was able to ask all questions needed and even able to text them and they would get back with me with the doctors response asap...

He was a great doctor and helped get me a diagnosis that the other doctors I saw previously never gave me
Describe the protocols Robert Schenken used in your cycles at UT Medicine Fertility Center and their degree of success.
We used the chemo drug( I don’t remember the name), he wanted me to use ovulation urine tests ( which don’t work well with my cycles and are never accurate) so we switched to the ovidrel shot.

He is not very warm and friendly, he more or less, he just does the procedure. ... I don't always get to see Dr scheken [Schenken] when I have my appointments. ... I sometimes feel left out of the decision process with my treatment as he will just call in a prescription or have the nurse call me with what he wants to do. ... It has gone from letrozole to clomid and now the dosages increase each time. I usually call and ask for treatments that I want to pursue
They [UT Medicine Fertility Center] are very organized and quick. They have a lot of availability and will work with you to make appointments and procedures work with your availability. I also like that the gyno is attached which makes it even easier ... The nursing staff is amazing, efficient, and compassionate ... Ultrasounds are expensive, $75 or more. IUI was $150 each

[Dr. Robert Schenken] was kind, understanding, delicate in how he presented information, but also up front and extremely knowledgeable and explained everything, including pricing very well...very compassionate... took the time to make sure I understood everything from treatment options to reasons why he felt those options were the best for us...He has your best interest at heart.
[Nurses at UT Medicine Fertility Center] are some of the sweetest and compassionate people out there. Great for people who are struggling to get pregnant and need that compassion...Clean and comfortable. The staff is extremely kind and efficient in their jobs. You don’t have to wait very long to get in because they appropriately space their appointments...IVF round cost is $6000, which covers everything except meds and sperm extraction, which my husbands Urologist has to do.
