He was very nice and explained everything to us but I feel like I didn’t have enough contact with him through my treatment. I spoke with him only once and then again on the day of my transfer. I wish he would have seen me more often and not just when I was getting ready for the transfer.

He is a great doctor but don’t expect to see or talk to him often. Most of the communication will be with other staff members.

He recommended to use our last 2 embryos because we had been trying for about 3 years and hadn’t had a baby yet. He explained the risks involved in transferring 2 embryos at a time and that was helpful when making the decision about if we should implant 2 or 1. He didn’t really go over the risk of placenta previa which I ended up having and that would have been nice to know. Overall I was happy with him but that could be because we finally got the babies we were trying to have for such a long time.

Between all the copayments and medication as well as the donor eggs it probably cost us between $50,000-60,000. It was not cheap and I have great medical insurance. It definitely was a struggle for us financially but it was worth it when our twins finally came home.

The doctors at RAD that I saw before him would not implant more than 1 at a time and I understand why because they explained it. When he suggested we implanting 2 embryos I was a little surprised because the other doctors wouldn’t do it but it was also our last 2 embryos and we already did 5 transfers that were either chemical pregnancy, ended in miscarriages or didn’t get pregnant. I am thrilled that we ended up with twins but I also understand and believe that single embryo transfers are the best way to do things unless it’s an situation like we were in.

I think he is thoughtful and takes the time to listen. During the consult visits where I do see him, I never feel rushed. While he's quick to suggest IVF, he doesn't pressure you into a decision. We chose to try IUI first and he was understanding and supportive.

Know that while he may be overseeing your treatment, you may not see him much.

RAD uses a consultation team approach to decide each person's protocol. However, they do seem to use similar protocol on everyone. Gonal F 300 mg with continuous clomid. It was described as efficient with less daily shots. It did not produce desired results for me.

Well-oiled machine. The earliest hours (I think, 630-730) are first come, first serve. After that, it's by appointment but they may be backed up. "IVF monitoring weekends" are 730-930 first come, first serve. I'm usually at RAD for 30-45 minutes for monitoring, including wait time.

Majority of transfers are eSET. Was explained that only in special circumstances would they do multiple embryo transfer as it causes risk to mother and baby.

I am a hard case because I feel like he’s tried everything to figure it out but there’s nothing that he could find as to why I keep Miscarrying my babies. So I feel sad that it’s not working even though sometimes it has but it’s not anything that he has done wrong.

He might not give you a warm fuzzy feeling the first time you meet him but he cares so so much and will always have your back

My spouse and I are attracted to a more bubbly personality. Dr. Feinberg was friendly, very knowledgable and professional, however, did not see much of him other than the few office visits. A different doctor performed the implant and another answered emergencies when they were on call. All the staff worked well together and had strengths.

Just that he is very knowledgable, kind and knows what he is doing. To trust his expertise and the rest of his team.

The rest of the team delt more with treatment strategies used throughout the cycles.

My husband very much wanted twins. The doctor felt very strongly about single embryo transfer versus implanting more than one at a time. He explained that the embryo can still split after implantation and that the more fetuses, the higher the risk to mother and babies. Blessed to be pregnant currently, I am glad to have listened to his recommendations.

Dr. Feinberg is very respectful and informative. He explains everything in detail and answers all questions honestly. He listens to your concerns and takes the time to address every question. He explains the risks related to each procedure and explains each part of treatment in detail.

Dr. Feinberg is very straightforward.

My insurance provide not IFV coverage, so I was a elf-pay patient. My costs were comparable to other clinics and was what we expected to pay for treatment.

Dr. Feinberg strongly believes in single embryo transfers. It is the safest method for transfer. He keeps the patient's health in mind and wants the healthiest pregnancy for his patients.

Dr. Feinburg is a great listener. He asked about our fertility journey and actually cared. He answered all questions we had and was explained every test and next step in full detail. I would recommend him to anyone for treatment

Ask a lot of questions because he will always answer them

I was referred to dr. Feinburg after having blood test, hsg testing, and my husband doing testing for fertility by my obgyn doctor. At our first meeting with dr feinburg we went over the results and he stated it was male infertility factor. He then explained how it would look if we did iui treatment and the success rate. He then went over ivf treatment and states that he believed we would have a good chance at success with this. He then went over additional testing for my husband and the medications I would need to start taking. After this discussion we decided we were going to try to have a fresh transfer and he went through what our journey would look like

After insurance I still paid 10,000 dollars out of pocket for my treatment

Dr. Feinberg is both brilliant and compassionate. He is committed to understanding his patients' underlying diagnosis so that he can best tailor and personalize their treatment, while also using known evidence to support his decisions. He articulates clearly pros and cons of treatment options when they are available and involves patients in decision making. His gentle bedside manner was also reassuring at the time of stressful procedures. And he celebrates your successes with you.

Be prepared to have some decisions to make yourself- Dr. Feinberg's style of explaining pros and cons, risks and benefits, means that you may be left to make the ultimate decision about your treatment plan where there are equally good options available to you.

First IVF cycle was an agonist protocol with high doses of FSH however this was unsuccessful for us and we retrieved only a few, poor quality eggs that did not produce blastocyts. Second IVF cycle was using "ministim" and this much gentler approach resulted in our best cycle ever that ultimately resulted in pregnancy with transfer of a PGS normal embryo.

I came to him with concerns about my ability to become pregnant after nearly a year and half of trying. I was unsure where to start and he was compassionate and understanding. He ordered multiple tests to understand my personal situation and how we could best go about my fertility. I don't see him long so I don't have anything negative I recall such as weaknesses and that jazz. I only had positive experiences with him.

Do your research and make sure you have a list of questions ready for him to answer so you get all the information you want.

All we did was test different ways to check my fertility. After the one test where they inject dye into your uterus to check your tubes, I was able to get pregnant. We believe it may have just been blocked tubes

I remember my insurance not willing to pay for the services and the billing department worked with me to make it affordable! They were knowledgeable and friendly. Only wanting to help and not burden me with bills I couldn't pay so they helped find a way to make it work for me

Dr. Feinberg is blunt, honest and straight to the point. Some people may not be comfortable with this, but for me, it’s perfect! No beating around the bush, no need for me to question anything. I know what’s going on and what to expect!

Be prepared to hear the truth, even if it sounds a little harsh. He definitely wants to help and will do what it takes to get you to your end goal.

I had a multitude of testing done when we first got started. I can’t remember the name of all the tests, but we found out I had endometriosis and tubal blockage. I had laparoscopic surgery to clear the endo. After healing, I started on drug therapy for egg retrieval. During egg retrieval we ended up with 25 eggs, of which 18 we’re mature and 14 fertilized. Of those, only 8 became blastocysts. We chose not to test the embryos and to attempt a fresh transfer with the knowledge that they are less likely to implant. Unfortunately the first transfer did not work. After waiting the appropriate amount of time, we did drug therapy to prep my uterus and did a frozen transfer, we were lucky and ended up with a healthy baby girl.

Our insurance covered most of our treatment. The bulk of the cost was the medication and I believe that our overall cost was around $8,000 out of pocket

Dr. Feinberg was very knowledgeable about his profession and described the process, the risks (including the risk of disappointment), and everything we needed to know in detail. He is a nice, caring man.

He does not hesitate so be prepared to hear the truth if the news is not good.

I remember that I was referred to Dr. Feinberg for IVF by another doctor in the practice after fertility drugs did not work so by the time I met Dr. Feinberg IVF was the last course of treatment. Once I met him he described the process and began to schedule and institute the procedures. The first round of IVF resulted in pregnancy. When that pregnancy ended suddenly and early we had a second unsuccessful round. The third and last round led to a full term pregnancy. In each round multiple embryos were transplanted to increase the odds with full knowledge that there may be multiple births. Both of the pregnancies resulted in twins.

I only remember co-pays. Insurance covered all of my procedures so I did not have many out of pocket costs.

We understood the approach of multiple embryo transfer and were willing to accept the possibility of multiple births. One of the reasons this approach was selected was due to my advancing age and wanted to increase the odds of success.

Dr Feinberg was very honest and I really appreciate that. Being completely aware of all my treatment and expectations has been paramount in our journey. He was able to give us our options without giving false hope. Also he was very compassionate about what our results were.

It is very clear to see that he is very passionate about his work. He wants to help. Your goals are his goals and he will do what he can to help you reach them. He is candid about the possibilities if outcomes and his expectations of you as his patient.

Be honest. He can't help you if you don't tell him everything he needs to know.

Antagonist retrieval cycle because of my PCOS. The first 2 FET's were just estrace, lupron and a PIO. I believe that was just standard treatment. After 2 chemical pregnancies we tried a different route for the 3rd. We added a hysteroscopy, anti blood clot meds (lovenox and baby aspirin) and immune suppression meds (prednisone).

Dr. Feinberg has a strict single embryo transfer policy unless there are extenuating circumstances that are reviewed on a case by case basis. We were completely fine with that plan of action.

He was very helpful when we saw him, he gave us our daughter so we are forever indebted to him and the practice. He came in on a day off to do a transfer himself so I did feel like he was invested. However, other than the initial consultations and transfers, you never got to see him. You dealt strictly with the nurses and clinical staff (who were wonderful). I also wish he would have been a little more firm in what he thought the best course of action for our situation was. I would ask questions about some form of treatment I had heard of that was successful for a friend, or ask about IUI before doing IVF and a lot of the time he would say that we could try it, whereas I'd prefer someone being a little more blunt or firm with why those options weren't a good idea.

Ask him what he thinks is truly the best option for you. Ask him to be blunt and what he would do in your shoes so you don't waste time on things that more than likely won't work.

Dr Feinberg was absolutely amazing. He took the time to describe the plans and details of everything. The risks and possible outcomes were laid out for us to understand from day 1. He was always very pleasant and soft spoken.

My first IVF in 2005 was more time consuming trying to identify issues. I had a hydrosalphinx. Plan was to remove my tube and proceed with IVF. I had a cycle of hormones, egg retrieval and transfer of 2 eggs. My daughter is now 10! Second cycle was in 2015, we did a cycle of hormones, egg retrieval and a transfer of one egg. My daughter is now 2!

Not sure totals but under 20,000 each cycle

He was very thorough and honest about our situation and care. He was always up front yet compassionate when giving us information. He seemed knowledgeable about my history despite having tons of patients.

Ivf: I started on the pill to get my cycle on the dates they wanted. Meds (can’t remember names): injections in the belly to build up egg production, egg retrieval, embryos created, 1 embryo transfer. We did only one each time because of my age and that our infertility was from the male side

Insurance covered most of my cycle costs. When I did have out of pocket expenses, the office was very helpful and worked with me.

Dr F was the lead on my donor embryo transfer cycle, although the actual transfer was done by another clinic in Texas He was very engaged and hands on in the treatment and I felt very supported. I am excited to work with him again.

Trust him, ask questions, be your own best advocate. Listen to him - he knows what he is doing!

It’s been almost 3 years since my IVF experience so specifics are fuzzy. However, I remember going through it and thinking I couldn’t imagine having a different doctor. The doctors positive attitude and outlook kept me coming back even when things got hard. I knew I was in the best hands and I was getting the best care. I have recommended him and the other doctors there over and over again. He was always friendly, honest, caring, encouraging and even funny. He would sense my tension and help ease me and my husband through it all.

Trust him and trust the process.

I felt that he was compassionate and explained the details of IVF to myself and my partner. His bedside manners were exceptional and he made me feel comfortable. We discussed possible treatment options and he planned my treatment based on all the findings from diagnostic testings.

I felt he was honest and I could trust him.

Dr. Feinberg is always warm and inviting at appointments. I never feel rushed or that we have a time limit. He answers every question I ask and will give his honest input. He's always prepared at appointments to go over test results or findings. He has them in front of him in case he cannot recall a specific test value. He will course correct and evaluate next steps with you after a failed cycle to help determine the best course of action to take next.

I would tell any prospective fertility patient no matter what doctor they were seeing to take your research with a grain of salt but do bring questions to ask your doctor and feel comfortable asking them even if they seem silly. Dr. Feinberg will answer them all!

The first IUI cycle was a standard IUI cycle. Upon failure of the cycle, Dr. Feinberg reviewed all my bloodwork and ultrasounds and did not suggest another IUI cycle with a potential for endometriosis and an endometrioma on my ovary. I appreciate that he did not pursue additional IUI cycles and immediately changed course to pursue laparoscopic surgery to further evaluate the endometrioma/endometriosis.

I do not recall specific, but the office has the appropriate resources to answer financial costs associated with treatment and your insurance.

Dr. Feinberg is knowledgeable, compassionate, direct and listens. He takes my recommendations as well. I feel like we’ve collaborated well together. I’ve always felt the like Dr. Feinberg gives me the info so that I can make the best choices for myself. I’ve always felt empowered and in control of my journey.

Ask questions and don’t be afraid to make recommendations for things you want to try in your treatment.

Wish that we saw primary doctor more frequently. We sometimes only saw a nurse or a different provider for the visit or procedure. This sometimes made me feel disconnected. I wish that I had a more consistent care team who knew me as a person.

Dr Feinberg is extremely knowledgeable in his field. His discussions made it clear he stays on the cutting edge of research to help as many people as possible achieve their dream of becoming a parent. Even if he knew he or his clinic couldnt help, he would recommend someone who could. Dr Feinberg was compassionate yet very factual and erred on the side of caution. While we hung in there for 7 rounds to make our daughter lily, he spoke of the facts which were it was unlikely at my age (45) we would achieve this with our own egg. We did, but his facts were truthful. He was very gentle in always letting us know the statistics and alternative approaches yet still supported us when we kept going. When there was a small issue during one round of biopsys, Dr Feinberg called us himself to explain and heavily supported us to make sure we had a positive outcome. Dr Feinbergs teams treatment identified I had cervical cancer before our first embryo transfer, and that ultimately could have saved my life. Their quick action on what they saw led to diagnosis and treatment within a matter of months.

To know he will give all knowledge based on facts that could be overwhelming at times but he is very gentle and happy to go over it as many times as necessary to explain all options. Whilst his view may not be what you want it to be, it will be realistic and based on prior outcomes. He wont mislead nor hold punches.

The first round was on a low dose of stims and no follicles were triggered. Second round was even lower dose which works for some but didnt work for us. Third round much higher dose and for the remaining 4 we were at the top of the limit for the volume of drugs we were taking. Ultimately it was successful however our last round we did not get any eggs at retreival. We believe the one good embryo we got was around the middle of our 7 cycles
