He [ Dr. Samuel Pauli] was professional and clearly presented the treatment options and chances of success. He had decent bedside manner. He was friendly and treated me like a person. When he found a polyp in my uterus he made sure to remove it before going forward with treatment. He was very thorough. I was very happy with him as my doctor.
We decided to go with donor eggs [at IVF New England] as my FSH level was too high for insurance to cover IVF due to my age. We did try an iui first but it did not work. Dr Pauli removed a polyp from my uterus before we did the IVF with the donor eggs. We used frozen eggs from my egg bank. I got seven eggs and 2 embryos made it to be able to transfer. We transferred 1 embryo as a 5 day transfer and now I have a 3 week old son.

I only saw Dr. Pauli twice. The rest of my care was with nurses or other doctors. He was nice, but very to the point, scientific and I felt rushed. I did feel like he knew what he was doing and we were in good care, I just had no connection with him...Dr. Pauli himself was nice, but very scientific and down to business. The nurses were great and made me fell human.
The nurses, ultrasound techs, all were so so nice and always returned my calls and explained things. No complaints...We had to start with 3 IUI's. Tests were inconclusive, so we were unexplained infertility. I wanted to to a IVF cycle with NO birth control and he let me which I thought was great. After the failed IUI's we did IVF. IVF worked the first time, so he didn't have to come up with a new strategy.

My insurance covered 100% of procedures I had maybe $50 of copays & $200 for meds.
He [Dr. Pauli] was excellent, explained well and walked us through everything thoroughly, friendly and helpful. We had 3 medicated IUI cycles and although he thought the third may not be successful, and set us up for IVF, it took and now we have a beautiful 22 month old son. We thought he was an excellent Dr...
Friendly staff [at IVF New England], great lab, but sometimes they were so busy the ultrasounds were running late. All the donographers and blood techs were very nice, and professional...I was lucky my insurance covered most of our treatment costs...

We had 3 medicated IUI cycles, the first 2 with clomid didn't take well, so on the third dr. Pauli suggested switching to Femera, he thought this might produce more follicles and a better quality egg for insemination. During the cycle he wasn't seeing the size follicle he wanted, so he didn't think the insemination would work, but it did!!!

Dr. Pauli was a very caring doctor. He was very cautious and explained all the risk to us. Sometimes I wish she had been a bit more aggressive. I really have nothing bad to say about him. It just didn't work and his clinic to get pregnant....The nursing staff [at IVF New England] was very kind and strong at this clinic. I felt like I could call them with any questions and they are always called me back and we're very helpful.

The clinic works like a machine. I was able to get in and get my ultrasounds and blood in no time at all every morning. If anything I think this was the best clinic that I experience.
Dr Pauli was clear, straightforward, experienced. He made adjustments to treatment as the first cycles weren't working as planned. Ultimately, I got pregnant after the 3rd cycle, with 2 embryos to freeze, and got pregnant again with a frozen embryo on the first frozen cycle...Personal phone calls, as needed. Nurses and technicians in the clinic were wonderful.

We met doctor Pauli two times through an online meeting, he bent his head to his mobile and talked with us. One of the most important factors in medical treatment is one on one interaction between the patient and the provider. While there wasn't Covid when we met doctor Pauli but we couldn't make an in-person appointment with him...for the blood test, my husband's arm became severely bruised and he couldn't bend or sleep on his hand for more than one month. his hand has been green from the place of the needle to his wrist. We complained about it but the clinic and doctor said it is normal.
I can not evaluate the doctor and clinic separately. I believe the whole Boston IVF system and employees are not good...During the treatment, they change nurses several times and none of them are fully responsible to track your treatment procedure. They miss some exams and tests and you have to go to the clinic several times because of their fault in scheduling...

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Samuel Pauli at Boston IVF?
Don't choose Boston IVF, it is wasting time and money.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Samuel Pauli at Boston IVF?
Patients are just a number for Boston IVF. They don't care about patients at all. The only thing that they care about is how to make money from patients. During the treatment, they change nurses several times and none of them are fully responsible to track your treatment procedure. They miss some exams and tests and you have to go to the clinic several times because of their fault in scheduling.
fertility treatment itself is complicated and working with an irresponsible provider makes it much harder.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Boston IVF. (Assigned nurse: They changed nurses frequently.)
Since they have changed nurses frequently, they missed tracking the treatment procedure accurately.
Describe your experience with Boston IVF.
I can not evaluate the doctor and clinic separately. I believe the whole Boston IVF system and employees are not good. They support each other to cover their faults. For example, for the blood test, my husband's arm became severely bruised and he couldn't bend or sleep on his hand for more than one month. his hand has been green from the place of the needle to his wrist. We complained about it but the clinic and doctor said it is normal.
For sperm freezing, they gave consent to my husband to sign, in the consent they clearly said the money that you are paying at the beginning is for the whole year, while it wasn't true. They designed the consent in a way that patients were tempted to sign it, then after three months, they sent a bill that from now on you have to pay a specific amount each month to keep the sperm. When we complained to them about the content of the agreement and asked them to dispose of the sperm and refund the money they said we will consider your comments about the content of the sperm freezing agreement and that is it. Their behavior was like scammers, not a medical center.

Dr. Pauli is the third doctor we see in our infertility journey. I wouldn't describe him as a super warm or compassionate doctor, BUT I'd say I trust him more than anyone else. He was always calm and candid with our diagnosis. Since our infertility was unexplained and we had had one failed IVF with a different clinic, I had a lot of doubts and questions every step throughout. Dr. Pauli addressed my concerns with scientific evidence, and when he told me that he wouldn't worry about something, I did trust him which truly boosted my confidence.
They [Boston IVF] have several branches across the city which made it easy to the numerous visits. Again, reaching out to the team and get instant help was not easy, but the doctors that worked with me all seemed professionable...It was quite difficult to reach the nursing team. 90% of the time I called them, it went to voicemail which was very frustrating and caused me more anxiety. (They did reply, but what I didn't like was the uncertainty of when they'd call or if I'd miss it.)

Dr. Pauli communicates in the way that's exactly what I needed. For every step of the treatment and every question we have, he explained with scientific evidence, and when something was unexplanatory, he was very candid about it too which I think made us feel much more confident in his suggestions.

He wanted me to finally have the family I’ve wanted for 5 years now...He was always willing to discuss options
Make sure your [Boston IVF] portal and appointment times are the same. Always be clear of what department you are trying to get a hold of like admin or nursing. They email direction for egg retrievals/transfers etc and they are pretty clear of instructions...Nurse Nikki always returned my calls, no matter how silly the question...Insurance covered most. Medication costs were ridiculous

He [Dr. Samuel Pauli] actually called me to check in and review results after I met with an np that same day!...He came recommend to me by a friend who was successful with ivf. He was very thoughtful and consider what are concerns are. He came up with a new protocol from what our old doctor was doing. The most shocking thing was he called me to review results with me. This should not be shocking but I was with my other doctor for 3 years she never called me.

He was the first to suggest use of embryo glue it was a $500out of pocket charge and may or may not help but it was worth the risk to us. We want to try anything there is out there to try. We got a positive test and are awaiting an ultrasound

For this year to date 3 thousand ish but I’ve been doing this for over 3 years and have spent over 30 thousand
decided to go with Dr Pauli for a second try. He is very compassionate and extremely professional. He explains every single detail of my treatment plan as well as why he thinks it's best for my situation. I had a successful egg retrieval cycle in 2020 which resulted in 4 embryos passing PGS. The first FET cycle succeeded, and I had a beautiful 4 month old now...single embryo...
Boston IVF is handling large numbers of patients every single day, they are very experienced with the procedures, strong in embryology and cell culture. Compared to a different clinics that landed me with 0 freezable embryos, Boston IVF got me 4 freezable embryos in one cycle, and my first FET succeeded. I had a very pleasant experience with Boston IVF....
