The only complaint I have [regarding CRM Orlando] is that I have not always received a call from the nurse to review results of various blood draws, however, this is something I can review for myself online and does not always require a phone call. If having a doctor with a warm bedside manner is important to you; you will find just that in Dr. Patel.

Dr. Patel was warm, caring and truly made me feel like I was getting individualized care. From the start of my diagnosis with balanced translocation my journey had led me to several professionals prior to making my way to a fertility specialist. Unfortunately, not all of these experiences were good ones. I came to Dr. Patel seeking answers and guidance. After the loss of 4 babies, I needed that. Thus far, my impression of Dr. Patel is that she treats her clients with the utmost care and respect. She has listened, taken extra time and researched certain topics that I’ve inquired about to make sure that I feel comfortable, informed and supported. My husband and I have not yet reached the point that we are considering IVF as our next course of action which Dr. Patel has been incredibly supportive of. She agreed that with my age there were other tests that should be done to rule out reasons that could be impacting our chances to conceive naturally besides my balanced translocation before considering IVF as our next step. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Patel and her staff. I wanted a doctor who has a warm bedside manner, is knowledgeable and who truly has my best interests at heart. I believe I have found that with Dr. Patel.

Dr. Patel has suggested a broad range of blood test and or procedures to explore as our next steps. I want to have all the information we can gather prior to heavily considering IVF. She understands that about me and supports my wishes while also offering guidance.

The nursing staff were friendly, compassionate and prompt with phone calls and messages through my portal.

CRM is a large well known clinic in the Central Florida area and have treated a variety of hopeful parents with various needs. It is evident that Dr. Patel and her staff work hard to provide their patients with the utmost care and respect.

This far I have lid for 2 consultations and various blood tests. I will be able to better answer this question further into our treatment process as we are really at the beginning.

We have not reached this point in our treatment with doctor Patel so I’m unsure of the answer to this question. From what I know of her practices I would assume she would suggest the option that poses the least risk to mother and baby.

Dr. Patel has the extra skill in a Dr. we were looking for shes not only extremely smart and passionate about what she does but she is kind and compassionate and never makes you feel stupid for questions or concerns. She even listens to your input for those of us who know our bodies very well. We are excited to see if we can have a better outcome with her and feel if IUI does not work she will tailor the next step to us individually.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Sejal Patel at Center for Reproductive Medicine Orlando (Prelude Network clinic)?

Just be calm and be yourself she is there to listen and answer she cares. You are not on a time crunch and she is not judging you. Also, advocate for yourself since you are not her only patient you may have to give reminders.

Dr. Patel stayed late to just work us into her super booked up schedule and she didn't rush us at all I was shocked that our entire appointment took over 2 hours and we discussed a full hour with her any and everything we wanted and she even would educate us along the way without us having to feel like we were asking oto may questions or leading us to not have any questions at all. She listened to our concerns and we wanted recommendations for a counselor and she provided us those contacts. She changed our protocol for the next IUI and we even met again after the IUI did not work with a new plan based on how we were feeling. Also, asked for additional bloodwork and as I suspected it may be different - it was now maybe we will be able to identify another problem that was working against all our attempts. I don't feel a one size fits all... she's very patient compassionate and kind. She made us feel like we shouldn't give up and cares about our story. She is extremely smart as well! Also, will respond to our portal messages through a nurse but you can tell it is her response not just generic of the nurse. We are excited to see what happens with her next.

Nursing staff is so much better for some reason. Donna stands out to us the most as she is always responsive and seeks answers from Dr. Patel but also is very educated giving explanations and is also very compassionate. I have not gotten any I dont know responses from Patel nursing staff where other nursing staff it seemed like only the Dr. knew the answers to anything that wasnt in our original packet of information

[Dr. Sejal Patel] Gave information clearly with the understanding of how the transfers work. I felt she was providing the information that was specific to my case...From the first moment we meet Dr. Patel we felt that we were on a journey together. With using a GC its like reading a training manual. You start with part 1 then move to part 2 and so on. The best part is that we were guided along the way and never had to worry about what the next step was. Checking off each step was satisfying and made us feel that we were flipping to the next page.

The only small complaint [about Center for Reproductive Medicine Orlando] would be the size of the waiting room. Its super tiny and with so many individuals there for so many reasons being crapped inside a small room gets to be awkward :) other then that, the clinic is great...Rishona is by far the best [nurse] at her job. She is compassionate, kind, intelligent and is never afraid to tell you how it is. Rishona has made this process seamless and truly a wonderful person.

Be patience...its a lot to take on with fertility...just take each experience as a new step in the process. Sometimes you have to back-flip a page, other times you get to skip a whole chapter. Just know in the end you absolutely deserve this!

Gave information clearly with the understanding of how the transfers work. I felt she was providing the information that was specific to my case.

We started off with a medicine controlled transfer. That treatment did stick with the GC. We tried one more routine with it being controlled with medicine, but ended up with too much liquid and had to cancel the transfer. The third attempt we did natural, no medicine. It was a much easier task to undergo. We are now 12 weeks pregnant and have to pinch myself everyday!

Rishona is by far the best at her job. She is compassionate, kind, intelligent and is never afraid to tell you how it is. Rishona has made this process seamless and truly a wonderful person.

Dr. Patel highly recommended the eSET as both parties didn't have any issues with getting pregnant and worried both embryo's would take. The risks of multiple embryo's is not worth the potential of loosing both embryo's.

She has since been working with Dr. Kliman at Yale for his endometrial function test on the D&C products as well as an EFT within an IVF cycle. The first two cycles were times intercourse with trigger injections. We used clomid day 3-7 after ovary check, then checked day 14 for tigger injection with low dose steroids, followed by progesterone suppository until pregnancy testing. This was coupled with daily baby aspirin, prenantal vitamins, metformin 1500 a day, and vitamin D

I don’t recall exact costs. A biopsy was roughly 500$ medications ranged from 8-60$ and my hysteroscopy with anesthesia was 2000$

Tell her everything you expect from the process so she can adjust to you. You don't have to adjust to the craziness of the office.

When in her presence I felt like a human, I felt like she had the same goal as me, she understood my frustrations. However, for follow ups and some monitoring I felt a bit like a number.

At first we did one round of Letrozole (5 days) with a trigger shot and relations. We then moved on to two rounds of IUI with Letrozole (5 days), trigger shot, and IUI. Our final round of IUI we came to the conclusion to do a more aggressive form of IUI with Letrozole (5 days) plus Gonal F shots (5-6 days) to help my follicles grow, trigger shot, and IUI.

The staff was very helpful in answering all of my crazy questions. They have an online portal which I would use to schedule all my appointments and ask all kinds of questions and they were so kind each and every time.

There are two clinics for CRM. The Celebration office which I would go to mostly was small and homey. The staff got to know my husband and I much better than in the Winter Park location. The Winter Park location was larger and you almost felt like just another number going through there. The staff is fantastic which is their biggest strength. But you loose that one on one quality time when you go to such a big location.

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Sejal Patel at Center for Reproductive Medicine Orlando (Prelude Network clinic)?

The first time I saw Dr. Patel, she was amazing and I felt like she was determined to get us pregnant. She was warm and caring, yet informative and direct. I am “seeing” her again for a year now, and I have not seen her once, only her PA, Heather. Heather is sweet and knowledgeable, but I feel like it’s just business this time.

Describe the protocols Sejal Patel used in your cycles at Center for Reproductive Medicine Orlando (Prelude Network clinic) and their degree of success.

I used Letrizole for one cycle to see how i was ovulating. Then I used Letrizole + a trigger shot + IUI, which resulted in a healthy baby. She diagnosed me with PCOS and said that sometimes I ovulate and sometimes I don’t. She thought and trigger shot and IUI was the best fit for me.

This time around (currently still going), I was told my doctor was calling in a particular medication, but according to my bloodwork, I did not understand why (indicator was in range). When I called the office, I spoke with the doctor’s PA. She did not know why I was prescribed the medication and it took some digging to find out why. We went back and forth about it, and they ended up sending me to an endocrinologist.

Dr. Patel makes sure you understand everything that is going on and takes the time to explain everything to you... I had a miscarriage under this other doctor and he was very unclear about what was going on. When I started going to doctor Patel she was very understanding and was able to explain what was going on in much detail. She helped me walk through what could have happened with my miscarriage and start the next steps to try and get pregnant again. I am grateful for the hope she gave me and for the wonderful experience I have had with her.

The clinic [Center for Reproductive Medicine Orlando] is very inviting. The only weakness I would say is that the administration side of the clinic is sometimes not as organized as they can be. I have had a bad experience with a previous doctor. I had a miscarriage under this other doctor and he was very unclear about what was going on. When I started going to doctor Patel she was very understanding and was able to explain what was going on in much detail. She helped me walk through what could have happened with my miscarriage and start the next steps to try and get pregnant again. I am grateful for the hope she gave me and for the wonderful experience I have had with her.

My treatment strategies were to use Femara as well as a trigger shot (I don’t know the name of the medication). As mention before I had a miscarriage through a previous doctor and was on clomid. Because I was able to get pregnant on clomid when I started going to Dr. Patel she decided to try femara with a trigger shot for 3 months. Currently I am on my second round right now with hope. If it doesn’t work after three rounds then we will move to IUI/IVF.

I went in to my first visit with a ton of questions. She patiently sat and answered all of my questions (one was even a little weird and she looked up the info right there!) She never made feel rushed or bad for having so many questions.

I had one Timed Intercourse cycle. I went in for monitoring on cd 3, took 2.5 mg Letrozole from cd 3-7 then went back for monitoring at cd11. My numbers were where they needed to be so I did a trigger shot of Ovidrel that night with intercourse that night and the next two nights. I also used Prometrium during my luteal phase. Sadly, I did not get pregnant. I had to wait to be on my husband's insurance so we are now in the middle of our first IUI cycle. Again, I went in for monitoring on cd 3 and took 2.5 mg of Letrozole from cd 3-7. I went in for monitoring on cd 11 but my numbers were not where they needed to be. I went in again on cd 13 and they were still not high enough and my lining was thin so she put me on estrace and I will go back for another ultrasound and bloodwork on cd 15.

I had done my research on my endometriosis and what our treatment options may be before meeting with Dr. Patel. When I had my first meeting, she was very warm and caring and explained the different types of infertility treatments available but she jumped straight to IVF being our only way of getting pregnant. Once I explained that we were not quite to that point she tailored a plan to my needs.

I love that CRM has multiple locations and the ease of making appointments. I have had appointments/lab draws/IUI's/consults in each of their offices. The Celebration office can run a little behind schedule and the secretary can be a bit rude and abrupt. The Orlando office just moved to a new location and they have everything streamlined! I arrived early for my appointment and they were able to see me 20 minutes before my scheduled time. My only real complaint would be with financing.

The 2 times I have actually SEEN Dr. Patel she has always been warm and caring and answered all of my questions. I only saw her for my initial infertility consultation and then my second consult after surgery to start IUI's.

First we did labs and an ultrasound to get a good baseline. Then we moved on to IUI. Baseline scan CD1-3, letrozole 5 mg CD 3-7, follicle scan CD11 and trigger to follow. IUI 36 hours after trigger. Progesterone level draw CD 21 (mine was on the lower end so I started suppositories CD21 until 28). Take home pregnancy test 14 days after IUI.

Every nurse that I have come in contact with in the office and over the phone have always been WONDERFUL. I am a night shift nurse and sometimes I need my appointments first thing in the morning after work/between shifts and they are always super accommodating.

We started with 2 cycles of medicated cycles with letrozle, orebyl trigger and progesterone. Then we moved to iui with the same protocol. Then the third iui we added estradiol. After the third failed iui we decided to take a break from treatment and also to use that opportunity to try to lose weight to improve fertility. We will resume treatment in May 2017, 30 pounds light. We will likely try two more iui before IVF.

I had 3 failed rounds of Clomid and 3 failed rounds of Letrozol at the highest dose that could be prescribed by an OB/GYN. She did all of the prerequisite tests to make sure I could become pregnant and stay pregnant, and then she raised the dosage of Letrozol for me. We continued with ultrasounds to check follicle size and then did a forced ovulation trigger shot. It technically worked the 1st time but resulted in a chemical pregnancy. We tried again immediately (counting the chemical pregnancy as a period bc I don’t have them on my own) and we were successful

They are human and have emotions and their own problems, but they definitely seemed to bring them to work. Most of the nurses were wonderful. The lab workers were amazing!... I never felt like they [the nurses] cared about the pain we were feeling. Especially after a chemical pregnancy. One nurse called and basically said “yeah, you were technically pregnant, but you aren’t anymore. We’ll wait for your next period and try again.” I was CRUSHED and FRUSTRATED. If this nurse had taken the time to see who I was and what was causing my fertility issues in the 1st place she would know that I don’t have periods anyway.

She [Dr. Sejal Patel] was very personable and she cared about what we desired as a couple... took her time in explaining things and didn't assume that we knew anything. The only miscommunication that I believe we had was us thinking that doing the IUI meant an automatic pregnancy and when we tried once, then twice, to no avail, we decided to "give up" in a sense. Every time we've returned to CRM, we like working with Dr. Patel because she has been there from the beginning and she is working hard at helping us reach our dreams for our family.

I attended both locations [of Center for Reproductive Medicine] in Celebration, FL and Orlando, Fl. The clinic in Orlando is where they completed more procedures like HSG testing and IUI's, etc. There were long wait times at this clinic and it wasn't very comfortable temperature wise (it was fairly warm in the waiting room). Dr. Patel took her time in explaining things and didn't assume that we knew anything. The only miscommunication that I believe we had was us thinking that doing the IUI meant an automatic pregnancy and when we tried once, then twice, to no avail, we decided to "give up" in a sense. Every time we've returned to CRM, we like working with Dr. Patel because she has been there from the beginning and she is working hard at helping us reach our dreams for our family.

The clinic in Orlando is where they completed more procedures like HSG testing and IUI's, etc. There were long wait times at this clinic and it wasn't very comfortable temperature wise (it was fairly warm in the waiting room). The Celebration clinic was a lot smaller and was more so for consultations and blood work. These appointments rarely ran behind. The staff at each place was nice.

It would be nice if the patients were to be made to feel more like people instead of just a number starting with the person who checks u in at the front desk all the way up to and including the doctors.... Dt. Patel is very informative. She's kind and caring and very much loves her job. She explaind everything and really listens to what I want in my treatment. Other doctors diagnosed me with unexplained infertility and acted like I was too young to even bother yet. She never made me feel that way and always validated my feelings. She also does a great job of being clear and to the point which I enjoy. Overall my favorite infertility doctor I've seen yet.
