When first meeting Dr Zarek my husband and I had no idea what to truly expect. Dr Zarek talked with us for close to an hour, and presented us with written and verbal education on exactly what was happening at that time (I had an endometrioma that had encapsulated one of my ovaries) and what our options were going forward. She fully explained the process and what her recommendations would be for fertility treatment in the future. She has been consistent with treatment plans and education. Unfortunately each IUI up to date has failed to result in a preganance, and Dr Zarek has checked in on each testing day and provided me with compassionate encouragement with each failed test, as well as laying out a hopeful and simple plan for what is next. I believe Dr Zarek's strengths include her love of people and passion for helping those attempting to start/grow a family. She is articulate and clear, with consistent plans and information, which are very important to me. I would say the only weakness I have noticed is that she can be somewhat rushed at times due to busy clinic schedule, but I would add the caveat that I have never felt hurried or pushed aside even when I can tell she is quite busy.

Bring a notepad and writing materials, you will be provided with a lot of information and if you're like me, you will want to take notes.

For both IUIs Dr Zarek put me on Letrozole to help with stimulating follicle growth, and then Ovidrel to stimulate ovulation. Both times were correct and needed for the most successful ovulation possible. I did ovulate at the proper time and at the time IUI was completed.

My insurance covers office visits and imaging services, so IUIs cost ~ $500 (Ultrasound covered by insurance would have increased total cost for the IUI to $1000). My medication runs ~$160 per IUI cycle.

Dr Zarek expressed to us that she strongly disagrees with multiple embryo transfer due to the increased chance of a multiples pregnancy, explaining that a multiples pregnancy significantly increases risks to the baby as well as the mother.

Dr Zarek is very knowledgeable, honest and compassionate. She was very encouraging throughout the entire process, always poised and grounded. I believe she LOVES what she does and it comes through in her meticulous work and in how she cared for me. My husband and I are very grateful to have met and worked with Dr Zarek:) I would recommend Dr Zarek to my closest family and friends.

I would tell them to have trust in Dr Zarek's abilities.

The first step for us was the ovary stimulation and egg retrieval. We used Follistim, Menopur, Leuprolide, birth control pills and HCG prior to retrieval. We did 2 frozen transfers: 1st transfer- started with birth control pills, then Leuprolide injections and Estradiol pills. After the transfer I started progesterone injections and progesterone suppositories while continuing the estrogen pills. 2nd transfer: Dr Zarek adjusted the amounts of my medications, added estrogen patches and changed the type of suppositories I was using. During my donor egg transfer we used similar procedures but Dr Zarek adjusted my medication amounts. Dr Zarek monitored my blood test results regularly and adjusted my medications accordingly.

Most of my monitoring appointments were scheduled for me and done at my clinic close to home. Being 5 hours away made it hard to drive to my morning appointments at Dr Zarek's office. I had two ultrasounds per cycle done at Dr Zarek's clinic and they were scheduled to accommodate our schedule; very pleasant experience each time and we were informed of all findings.

We had separate hospital and doctor fees. The hospital fees included all lab work and transfer procedures; doctor fees covered all work done by Dr Zarek and her team. The cost of the entire process was approximately $35,000 plus an additional $15,500 for the donor eggs. Our insurance covered some of the medication and all blood tests; we paid for ultrasounds and everything else out of packet.

I agreed with Dr Zarek's approach: for the 2 frozen embryo transfers using my own eggs she implanted 2 eggs with each transfer and for the donor egg transfer she implanted one egg.

Dr. Zarek is extremely compassionate and professional. She eased all of our fears, explained everything thoroughly, and checked in with us frequently. She made a stressful uneasy process easier. We actually ended up getting pregnant prior to our planned IUI cycle and she continued to follow us and monitor with bloodwork and early ultrasounds. We had a history of a prior loss and she was clearly invested in our care and in ensuring we did everything to prevent another loss.

Hands down the best experience I could have wanted. Don’t be afraid to share your fears and ask questions.

At the initial appointment my husband had a sperm analysis and I had a baseline an ultrasound to evaluate my ovaries and uterus. Tested by AMH, TSH, and Vitamin D levels. I had a borderline vitamin D level so she started me on a weekly dose of vitamin D. She also recommended I start taking COQ10 400mg BID. All treatment plans were discussed at the initial consultation with a soft plan but after my AMH level came back lower than desired we planned to move straight to IUI with a medicate cycle. I ended up getting pregnant before the IUI. I was started on progesterone 400 mg intravaginally BID, asprin 81mg, and lovenox 40mg due to history of prior 1st trimester missed miscarriage. I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks 4 days and then another at 8 weeks 5 days.

Dr Zarek is very thorough and never made me feel rushed or uneasy. She made us feel like family and that our questions no matter how trivial, were worth asking. Even when we had to take a break due to funds, she made sure that we knew that she was ready when we are ready. We absolutely love her and highly recommend her. I believe we'll finally get to start a family because of her.

You'll love her, she will take care of you.

They gave me plenty of time slots to choose from. I never had a lot of a wait. Everything was very smooth.

With sperm, medications and anything else out of pocket (auto-injector, numbing cream, etc) I would say close to $25,000.

I felt a little bit lost at the beginning of the treatment. I wasn't really sure all the treatment steps. I have researched Dr. Zarek on Fertility IQ. Based on the review, I scheduled the first appointment. I felt comfortable with Dr. Zarek and she did not push myself to try the IVF treatment. She listed my concerns and my husband's as well. All my official appointments were online by video call. I did see the doctor a few times at the clinic. I stopped once to talk to her about my egg count concerns. Besides that day, I only saw the doctor on the retrieve day. She was always welcoming and texted me once to follow up on the day on the trigger day. She maintained communication with a text chat between me and the nurse. I cannot say much about the treatment itself, because I am not sure all her choices were the best or not. I believe it was. She was the only doctor that I did the IVF and I am sure she is a good doctor. The only cons for me was the consultation was most of video call instead in person and I got a little bit lost on how was the full treatment process until I receive the schedule. The Dr. Zarek was the highlight of the clinic. But my experience with other clinic sector will shadow all her hardworking. She was very helpful.

She is a great as doctor, but there is a mid connection between the doctor and the clinic. The clinic doesn't know how to handle insurance since the beginning. There are other stressful aspects that you have to take into consideration. I ovulated before the egg retrieval, and because I paid in full at the front, the clinic offered to pay only 25% back, and I had to pay all the treatment again. The clinic stated that I didn't have any refund for the service even though they had not performed the most expensive procedure (egg retrieval and semen implantation) if the doctor consider that cycle was canceled. In the end, I was able to continuous the treatment. My stress level was already too high with the hormone, the IVF was the worst experience of my life. Now, I still have to problems with them. OMA uses a third party company for billing billing that submitted my insurance claim on my behalf. However, my insurance company is advise that they have submitted the claims incorrectly.

FSH, Novarel, and Pregnyl. FSH I believe was Follistim - I have started low 325 and increased to 450.

Dr. Zarek is hands down the most amazing Physician. She put myself and my husband at ease the first time we ever had a call with her. I remember crying after we talked for the first time, because I knew she really wanted to help us have a baby, and for the first time, I felt like it was possible. She has been an excellent communicator and has reached out to us personally multiple times throughout our journey. When other reviews say you are able to text her, it is true! My husband and I are driving from Ohio to St. Louis to work with her, because we believe in her that much. It has been worth every drive to know we have full confidence in our doctor. I can never say enough good things about Dr. Zarek!

Do not be afraid to ask her any questions. She will always take time to make sure you both are comfortable with her plan. She does not make you feel wrong if you question something. If you have any hesitation about becoming a patient of hers, it will go away when you get the chance to meet her or have a call.

We sought out Dr.Zarek as a second opinion, as we were getting no where with our local fertility clinic. Even though it would be a 6 hour drive each way, the reviews spoke for themselves and I knew I wanted to meet her. She helped to confirm a diagnosis of male infertility and we completed baseline testing. My husband continued ion his previous regimen of Clomid and Arimidex. Within 2 months, we started IVF stim medications. I had 1 egg retrieval which was successful where 4 embryos were frozen. I then had a frozen embryo transfer and a day 5 blast was transferred. I am currently pregnant after my first transfer attempt!

My husband and I chose to have a single embryo transfer. We were given proper education and counseling on our options.

After meeting with Dr. Zarek, we abandoned our plans to use another clinic immediately because we were so impressed by her. She spent unrushed time with us to hear about our experience so far (wanting both facts and emotions), to introduce us to the clinic, and to discuss next steps. Throughout the treatment, she spoke to us on her level while still exhibiting professionalism and expertise. Her availability during the treatment was reassuring; she was never too busy to address questions/concerns. After some unexpected results, she was immediately concerned about our emotions, addressing those first then swiftly discussing a plan to move forward. She was very candid about what she did and could not know, and I am confident that she always has the patient's best interest in mind.

FSH and Menopur with adjustments to dosages as needed based on my labs. Lupron/HCG trigger. I responded very well to this.

The costs for an IVF cycle and retrieval included a baseline cost for a cycle/retrieval, plus a separate cost for anesthesia and medications. They were very open about their costs up front. They are very concerned about providing the lowest cost possible without compromising quality.

From the very first consult to the graduation of the program, Dr. Zarek was amazing. She explained everything with great detail and was very optimistic and confident in our journey to our rainbow baby. She has such a kind positive energy that is contagious and helped my partner and I to feel at ease with our infertility struggle.

You can finally relax because you are in the best hands! It was such a relief to find Dr. Zarek for us and to have such a great team behind us!

When we started our journey with Dr. Zarek, we were set up with an appointment with a financial counselor that helped to explain the costs associated with IUI as well as the diagnostics. They were extremely helpful and even had the specific names of pharmacies that had the cheapest medicines associated with our treatment. It was so great to have a heads up of what we would be spending during our journey. They even called my insurance company to see what was covered and what wasn’t.

My husband and I have been under the care of Dr Shvetha Zarek. We were referred to her after we experienced a miscarriage and couldn't become pregnant again. She has been very proactive about getting to the bottom of our fertility issues and she has always made us feel comfortable when moving forward with tests and procedures. She is an amazing doctor and her bright attitude is always reassuring.

Ask questions. This journey is a difficult one and you should be comfortable moving forward with every treatment option. Dr Zarek always answers our questions and makes sure that we are okay with moving forward.

I took a medication called Letrozole followed by an injection of Ovidrel for ovulation induction, then used times intercourse to conceive. Resulted in pregnancy and was monitored closely with vaginal ultrasounds. Pregnancy was not progressing as it should but I couldn't bring myself to end the pregnancy with the hopes that things would begin progressing normally. Dr Zarek respected my decision and continued to monitor us closely. I began to have bleeding and contacted Dr Zarek office. The were very accommodating and got us in very quickly to be seen. Unfortunately, that pregnancy ended in a miscarriage, but I wouldn't change how we handled it in anyway. During the miscarriage process Dr Zarek and her team were very supportive and I can't thank them enough for the compassion they showed. When we returned to the office to continue with treatments and get answers we were felt so loved and cared for. They are all on your side and will do what they can to make this process easy.

I am unsure of exact costs. I know that I had 2 ultrasounds done between taking my Letrozole and getting my Ovidrel injection and each of those were 400$. Also, the ultrasounds monitoring my pregnancy were 169$ each. These were done every 2-3 days

I don't have comments on this at this point. We were scheduled for a consultation to discuss this process at the beginning of April, but that appointment has been postponed due to Covid-19

My experience with Dr. Zarek has been fantastic. I switched from a different doctor and I'm so glad I did. She is personable, caring, supportive, and upbeat. She gave me her personal cell phone number so I could text her any time I needed to - and always responded quickly! I even had to text her close to 10 pm one night due to some bleeding and she responded right away and helped calm my fears. She is without a doubt the best doctor of any kind I've ever had.

If you're thinking about it, go for it! She's amazing and you won't be disappointed.

I don't remember exact details but the injectable medications I used during my egg retrieval cycle were Lupron, Follistim, and Menopur. Then during frozen embryo transfers I used Lupron to prevent ovulation, estrogen (pills, patches, and injections) to build my lining, and of course progesterone starting 5 days before transfer.

We paid for a package that included all ultrasound monitoring, egg retrieval, and one embryo transfer that cost $8,000 (in April 2019, I believe this has since gone up in price) and my medications came to a total of about $3,600.

For the first transfer Dr. Zarek was pretty set on doing one embryo. When that transfer ended in a chemical pregnancy I asked about doing two embryos for the second transfer and she was agreeable to that plan.

We have been with Dr. Zarek through it all - our testing/diagnosis, IUIs, the round of IVF that finally brought us our little girl in 2020, and now as we are back in treatments to try to make her a big sister. I think like most couples that find themselves facing infertility, we were really anxious and overwhelmed at the outset. Infertility is something that happens to "other people", right? And there are so many unknowns - the biggest being whether or not our story would resolve with a take home baby. But from our very first appointment, we have always been confident that we were exactly where we needed to be. Dr. Zarek is knowledgable and accomplished, of course; but it is her compassion, sincerity, calm confident, and wit that have always gotten us through the peaks and valleys that inevitably come in this journey.

If you haven’t set up an appointment...just do it! Dr. Zarek is the best!

IUIs: We had previously used Clomid with TI at my OBGYN, but my ovaries were unresponsive to it, so Dr. Zarek prescribed Letrozole with an Ovidrel trigger. I produced follicles and ovulated, but the IUIs were ultimately unsuccessful. IVF: We started with birth control + Lupron suppression; stimmed fairly easily with Menopur + Gonal-F. She had me increase the dose once, but dropped it back down when my estrogen levels started trending up. We got 18 eggs (14 mature), 12 of which fertilized. We ended up with 9 embryos. Normally, she recommends a freeze-all to give the body time to recover before a transfer. But because our insurance doesn't cover much of anything in a transfer cycle, she agreed to plan for a fresh transfer as long as I didn't develop OHSS. When my estrogen levels jumped, putting me at risk for OHSS, she took preventative measures, prescribing Cabergoline prior to retrieval (this far removed I cannot remember what exactly it does) and Lovenox starting the night of retrieval. She monitored me for OHSS following the retrieval, and I didn't develop it, so we went ahead with our fresh transfer 5 days later, giving us our little miracle girl. Frozen Transfers: We have since returned in hopes of conceiving again, and have had 2 transfers this year. We suppressed with birth control, followed by applying estrogen patches, PIO and E2P4 suppositories for 5 days before transfer. The second transfer she added estrogen injections. Ultimately both failed, and we just did the Receptiva test to see if there are more underlying issues before we continue with transfers. We switched the protocol a bit, using Estradiol pills and Estrogel instead of patches and injections, which was actually kind of a nice change. Who is going to complain about less needles, am I right? I do want to add that the original plan for this mock cycle was to do an ERA; but with the recent studies that have come out questioning its validity being a big topic at ASRM, she came back to me after and suggested a pivot. I really appreciated not only the attention placed on the most recent data, but also the flexibility to amend the plan midstream when the available data suggested that the current plan isn't the best choice anymore. Because I'm like a lot of people - I'm not a doctor or statistician, so I don't always understand the science or data behind these things unless it's really broken down for me. So I have always relied very heavily on Dr. Zarek when we're making these decisions on next steps, and have always been appreciative of the attention and rationale behind our care.

Current costs for most things are listed on Arbor's website (arbor-fertility.com). Her goal is to keep things as low-cost as she can for us! Tanesha, the financial counselor, is very responsive as well if you have any questions about prices or insurance coverage. She isn't currently in network with insurance, but bloodwork and meds can be submitted to insurance if you have coverage.

Dr. Zarek's general recommendation is to transfer only one embryo at a time because multiples pose a greater risk for the health of mom and babies—but I know that she does do two in certain cases. I have a uterine anomaly and don't want to risk having a multiples pregnancy, so we transfer one at a time.

Dr. Zarek took fantastic care of us. She reached out to us personally through the achievements and setbacks. We were so blessed to have someone so personable and compassionate during such an emotional process. We couldn't have asked for a better doctor.

She works to learn about you and your wants as a couple. She really goes above and beyond to know her patients.

I was diagnosed with PCOS. My husbands sperm was great. I had and abundance of eggs since I do not have a cycle/ovulate on my own. She put me on femara I think I started at 5 mg. The first iui failed. Then the second round of meds my body didn't respond so my dosage was upped to 7.5. After the 2nd failed iui I had a cyst show up with had to be drained. Mh 3rd iui cycle was our lucky cycle!

We froze my husbands sperm since he had good sperm. So I think it was only $20 to unthaw and wash for an iui. Each ultrasound was $370. The ovidrel shot was $100 and I want to say the actual iui was around $385

Dr. Zarek was willing to speak with us candidly about IUI vs IVF and what might be in store for us with the different options. She was also willing to talk more in detail as we had different thoughts or wanted more information throughout the process. She made sure she was available for questions/urgent issues, which was comforting.

Feel free to ask questions, even if you think they're stupid.

We did IUI with sperm donor. Our first 3 cycles we did used letrozole to stimulate ovulation, Ovidrel to ovulate, and 2 weeks of progesterone (oral.) For the fourth, after discovering the Letrozole wasn't actually doing much, we did an unmedicated cycle with an Ovidrel shot to ovulate, 2 weeks of progesterone suppositories, and an Ovidrel shot a few days after the IUI to keep my body from trying to start my cycle over too early. This was the successful protocol.

I can't remember specifically - I think it was about 375 for the ovulation ultrasounds (although my insurance changed at the end to pay for that) and about 375 for the IUI. We also had to pay for donor sperm but that isn't related to the clinic. I think Ovidrel was 125. The letrozole and progesterone were covered by my insurance.

We didn't get to the point of discussing it in depth, but in contrast to my previous RE clinic, it appears MU Health doesn't do PGS testing and is more comfortable with multiple transfers. I have no knowledge or opinion on which approach is "better" and this may not be a completely accurate representation of MU Health's approach as we never did IVF, only discussed it.

Dr. Zarek is up front about everything. Since we were returning patients (our previous doctor had retired) she started with what we had ended with previously. We didn't have to go through the whole gamut of testing and procedures to get to the IVF point. She told us the plan and that's what we did. Dr. Zarek was always available and open to communication through texting. It was nice to have that line of communication since some questions/situations were more important than others. She always responded promptly. Dr. Zarek is continuously checking on me to see how I'm doing whether it was during the IVF or FET cycles and now pregnancy.

I would tell any patient to not be afraid to ask questions. Dr. Zarek was always open to what we asked and always had an answer.

Due to prior treatments with our first doctor whom had retired, Dr. Zarek started right at IVF since we had no frozen embryos. We immediately did the genetic testing for both my husband and myself. Luckily we had our first visit with Dr. Zarek before an IVF cycle and started immediately. We went through birth control followed by Lupron and then Follistim. We had ultrasounds and bloodwork to monitor embryo development. Before the retrieval, the HCG injection was administered. The embryologist called with the fertilization rate after the first day and I believe 3rd day. Our IVF transfer did not work out and Dr. Zarek called to talk about what we could do next and when. We immediately started an FET cycle. At our baseline ultrasound, I had 2 cysts as a result from the IVF cycle. At that moment we decided to stop the cycle because we didn't want to go through another procedure to drain the cyst. We started another cycle for a November transfer which was successful.

IVF was around $8,000 for the procedure and ultrasounds. Medication was another $3,000-$4,000. Bloodwork was over $100 each time. FET was around $3,700. The medication was around $1,000 and that includes through the first trimester. Bloodwork was again over $100 per time.

Dr. Zarek recommended to only transfer one embryo, which is what we wanted, but was not against transferring two if that is what we had wanted.

Dr. Zarek is hands down the most amazing Doctor I've every had! She always explained everything and sat down and made sure my husband and I's questions were answer before she left the room. She takes her time and made sure we were comfortable and knew what was going on and what to expect. Even if we had a question after we left the clinic she wanted us to call her so that we wouldn't keep wondering. Without Dr. Zarek who knows if we would have had any children but with the love, support, and knowledge of Dr.Zarek we were able to conceive our daughter, Maye. We are so glad we found her and will hopefully be returning to see her for more children in the future. For anyone that is going through fertility issues I highly recommend Dr.Zarek!

She is very trust worthy physician!

Really the only thing I can remember her suggesting is for my husband and I to do IVF bc we had male infertility and with the IUI it may not be worth the time and money with the issues we had with some of the sperm counts

The cost was not cheap and insurance didn’t pay for much. However you could sign up for a payment plan. They always suggested sign up for scholarships to help cover some of the cost

We were only able to do one embryo bc that was the only embryo that we had survive. And with Dr Zareks approach and knowledge we let her guide us in the right direction on what to do

Dr Zarek is amazing. She genuinely cares about her patients. She always asked me questions to really make sure I was doing ok and how my husband and I were doing. Very personal care. You can really feel that she wants you to have a successful cycle.

Ask her questions about anything and everything. Utilize her helpfulness. Be prepared to have hard conversations. She is up front and honest about every possibility.

I started with lupron and prednisone. Then swapped lupron for Ganirelix. The day I started stims I added folic acid, 450 follistim (for just 2 days then 300 after that), lovenox and kept Ganirelix and prednisone. On day 3 of stims I added .5ml of menopur. I was on all of that until trigger. The day of my first ultrasound I also had 1 bag of intralipids.

The fresh retrieval and transfer was 8284, plus anesthesia, plus freezing, plus meds. The FET normally is 3700 but because a freeze all was medically necessary and I did not have a transfer with my paid cycle they are not charing me. We also added PGS testing. Its 1625 for biopsy and freezing, 385 for the first embryo and 250 for every embryo after that.

My dr was very straight forward ND said she usually only ever recommends 1 embryo. That way if it doesn't work you have the most chances to do everything you can. I.e. adding meds, changing meds,doing an era test, etc.

Dr Zarek went over every past treatment with our previous doctor and she went in depth as to what treatments we would be doing under hercare, what tests we'd undergo, how the process goes for an IVF cycle, we met with her nurse and the financial coordinator all in our initial appointment with her so we knew what to expect. She's warm and friendly and has an amazing bedside manner. After my unsuccessful HSG, and very painful fluid US, she hugged me and told me it will be ok, we will be successful. She told me to be positive, even after finding out my tubes are closed. She has such faith in what she does, plus her success in the past truly speaks for itself.

I've had no negative experience under her care, so I'd say my advice would be to expect to sit down for a lengthy meeting with her and it's not a fast process, it takes time to get your plan together.

Currently, she is treating me for critically low Vit D levels and I'm taking 50,000 Units once a week, also my thyroid is low so I'm on 75 mcg Synthroid once a day. We are finishing up initial testing so we can start an IVF cycle in July. We just found out that my tubes are closed, so my only option to ever carry my own child is via IVF. So we will start further meds in a couple months.

As of currently, we've paid $50 per appointment under our insurance and we've went to facilities appropriate for our labs and HSG testing, meaning no out of pocket costs yet. As far as IVF costs, we will have $4000 lifetime covered by insurance and we will put $4000 down as deposit, with the rest of costs to be discussed as we go through the process.

We have not done this yet, however, she does prefer to only transfer 1 embryo the first try, but will transfer 2 if we desire, but no more than that.

Dr Zarek was very thorough from the day we met her. She always explained things in ways we could understand and tested for things no once else did. She is very passionate about her job and it truly shows.

I would say trust her with your full heart because she has you best interest at heart. She will not put you through testing etc tgat is not needed.

Do to previous testing we had been through and our histories Dr Zarek recommended IVF for best results. This was not the case with previous Dr and we had wasted TONS of money and meds etc on multiple IUI. She also tested and treated myself for killer cells before and after each transfer. This was done because of positive blood test for killer cells. After 1st ivf which ended in chemical pregnancy my meds were adjusted and 2nd 1vf was successful.

She is very down to earth. She laid all possibilities and procedures. Where they were going to start first with testing and move on from what they find in testing. She explains things very clearly and makes sure if you have any questions you can get ahold of her at any time. She always gets back to you in a timely manner. She treats you like your part of her family but also keeps things professional at the same time. She is very sensitive to your individual needs as a person. She was very sucsessful in my personal treatment and was always eager to move on to the next step to success.

Make sure you keep in touch about instructions about each cycle. Personally I forgot to call on day one of cycle and missed a whole cycle because of it. So it was personal not because of anything the doctor or center did.

We did 2 iui's one with famara. I think that's what it's called. It's an alternative to clomid. She wrote a blog on the comparison between the two. Then we moved on to IVF. We did one cycle retrieved 22 eggs. I think 8 were good but only 5 turned into embryos. I was a big candidate for having hoss. I decided to skip a cycle to avoid this. So we did a 2 frozen embryo transfer the next month and rusulted in our twins who were born at 35w2d, because of preeclampsia.

My husbands insurance covered everything we only had a co pay.

Very kind and welcoming. I don’t feel rushed or like I’m an inconvenience. I feel like I could ask her anything at any time. I did have a few communication issues regarding scheduling in the beginning, but she was transitioning clinics, so I think that was why.

Remember to ask questions. Even if you think it’s silly. We didn’t get the results I had hoped for, and I regret not asking some questions that were on my mind before the procedure.

We used Follistim and menopur, and added Ganirelix. We ended up doubling the doses for Follistim and menopur both.

$7500 for egg retrieval $5000 for transfer

She said that she recommends one embryo to prevent risk of pregnancy complications and we haven’t pushed so I’m not sure what she would say if we did.

Dr. Zarek was very involved. She texted and emailed to check on us and made me feel like she really, really cared about my care. I liked that she was able to be realistic but also positive. We never had false hope but she never suggested that we weren't going to be parents someday!

Dr. Zarek is wonderful (if you have Fertility coverage, we did not and they need everything paid up front which is no fault of Dr. Zarek' did course)

I took 5 mg of Letrozole. I used progesterone, folate, and vitamin D. It worked the first time but ended in miscarriage. We tried it four more times because I responded well and ovulated nicely. My husband's SA looked good. Dr. Zarek suggested IUI but I declined due to the cost of imjectables.

I do not remember exact costs but I do know that it added up really, really quickly!

She was absolutely amazing. She was very confident and explained everything. When she was doing my tube test to make sure everything looked OK she did have a hard time confirming if both tubes were open or not. She said one definitely was but the catheter kept falling out if place so she didn't want to keep putting me through replacing it. She did explain for IUI I only needed one tube though. Excellent doctor!

She will talk to you about everything. She is very patient and explains things very well. She also explains the plan in detail so you know what you're getting into.

Relatively affordable

Dr Zarek took the time to talk to us and find out what we wanted to try for treatment. She performed tests before treatment that others had not and explained the results in detail. We really felt like she wanted to help us.

My advice is to do your own research before you see the doctor so that you can ask questions.

In preparing for the IUI, I was originally given Letrozole 5 mg. When I went in for my ultrasound the follicle was small so they gave me additional Letrozole (7.5 mg) before doing IUI. The second IUI I was given Letrozole 7.5 mg. I did an Ovidril trigger with both IUIs. We did not have a pregnancy with either IUI.

Dr Zarek made sure we felt as comfortable with her as possible from the moment she personally came to get us from waiting room for first visit. Was compassionate and helpful in everyway possible. We are early in our first cycle with her but she has been informative and caring the whole way through. She even gave us her cell number to keep in close contact with her throughout treatment. She is an absolute Doll and we are so grateful to have found her.

Be open and ask any question may pop in your head. She is so understanding and informative.

I am early in treatment so far we are suppressing follicles using Lipton 10 then 5 units, then switched to ganirelix 125 . Had baseline ultrasound today. Will start follistim in couple days for stimulation. Then .5 of menopur. Will do the hcg trigger and have egg retrieval hopefully in two weeks
