Dr. Williams did not perform promised personalized care. He never knew me nor my husband by our name. I felt like he provided generalized care and nothing specific to us or our situation. He also didn’t have all my correct results at one of my appointments that was vital to my continuation of care...Dr. Williams diagnosed me with PCOS without checking any bloodwork. He based it off of my irregular periods. I’m not saying I don’t have PCOS I just don’t believe he did everything to give me a true diagnosis.
This clinic [UF Health Reproductive Medicine] does not provide personalized care. They make you feel like a number and never once acknowledged us by name. They didn’t listen to my questions or provide a true diagnosis. They didn’t check any blood work to confirm PCOS or do a hsg to rule out other issues. Honestly feel like I wasted a lot of my time here....
How was your experience with Stan Williams at UF Health Reproductive Medicine?
Myself and my husband seen Dr. Williams for our consultation appointment. He was very blunt and to the point. As this was our first time seeing a fertility specialist we didn’t know any better or what to expect. Dr. Williams diagnosed me with PCOS without checking any bloodwork. He based it off of my irregular periods. I’m not saying I don’t have PCOS I just don’t believe he did everything to give me a true diagnosis. I only seen Dr. Williams at the consultation and my final appointment. At my final appointment he was very rude and I waited about 45 min to see him. I did four rounds of oral letrozole and then at my final appointment he stated IUI or IVF were my only options. When at my first consult he said we would do 4-6 rounds of oral letrozole and then 4-6 rounds of clomid. My progesterone was over 10 one month (which is what they look for it to be) and he couldn’t find that in my paper work he had in front of him. So I pulled up MyChart to show him and he said “well it only worked once.” I didn’t feel right being there once he said that and then he sent me to financial to discuss IVF prices. He made me feel like a number and never that he was truly there for me, my husband or you help us. He just wanted our money.

Describe the protocols Stan Williams used in your cycles at UF Health Reproductive Medicine and their degree of success.
We did four rounds of oral letrozole. Every month when I would start my period I would do an ultrasound then days 5-9 I would take the medication. On day 23 of my cycle each time they would check my progesterone. We did this because I had irregular periods and didn’t ovulate on my own.
Describe your experience with your nurse at UF Health Reproductive Medicine. (Assigned nurse: Jean and brittany )
They answered quickly and promptly at first then towards the end it was kind of hit or miss.
Describe your experience with UF Health Reproductive Medicine.
The clinic overall was just okay. I wasn’t happy with the care of the specific doctor I was assigned to. Although I had a different doctor do most my ultrasounds and they seemed okay. The rooming staff were good. The check out staff was good. You had to ask about your results and what they meant. No one really explained them to you so it was a guessing game. Overall felt like it was very generalized care and not personal or specific to my case. Then for the doctor to say my only option was IUI or IVF after only four months of oral medication. Seems like he was just after our money in my opinion. I have started a process with getting a second opinion and even from my first appointment they have went above and beyond and helped me more in one visit than this clinic did over the last 6+ months. Seek out another place!

the only times I ever saw him [Dr. Stan Williams] were once during my consultation which included a diagnosis, and when he performed the tubal flushing at the hospital. He was very matter of fact during the consultation/diagnosis, which was a very shocking and difficult moment for me. I was completely blindsided. At the tubal flushing he was a bit warmer. I never saw him in person again, and all of the treatments and follow-ups were performed by the nurses.
Never saw the coordinator [at UF Health Reproductive Medicine]...The other nurse were great but always different....Getting on the phone with my nurse coordinator was really hard. They did not always call back with results, which I had to follow-up with myself... I was glad the RE office was far away from the OBGYN office. I wish I would've seen the same nurses more often. I felt like I saw a different one each time and never the Doctor or my nurse coordinator. She was impossible to reach on the phone and would not return my calls herself, always had a go between.

He looked at the cycle record I had kept and basal temperature log and diagnosed me as PCOS annovulatory. He prescribed the tubal flushing, and then clomid at a low dose for one failed cycle and then a second cycle. At that point he upped the dose for the third cycle, and thankfully I became pregnant then and delivered a healthy baby.

Dr. Williams was very kind and compassionate. He explained to me what happened to my donor embryo and that the one that did survive may not result in a live birth. Due to the nature of the visits he was very sensitive and caring. ... He is very honest and has a good sense of humor. ... BC for 14 days, estrogen patches, PIO/vaginal progesterone and then FET ... He was going to allow me to transfer both donor embryos.
I truly appreciate everyone's honesty and compassion @ UF Health Reproductive Medicine Springhill. ... The staff at the office and the billing department have been amazing. I had to ask them to rebill a claim because my insurance company made a mistake. They did so without hesitation. ... Dr. Kramer, the embryologist, went above and beyond to explain what occurred with one of my donor embryos and the potential risks of transferring the embryo that was not the best quality.
