Dr. Smeltzer was always very informative and helpful...was transferred over to her service when my original doctor retired...She never pushed us into anything...explained steps and details until I felt like I had a good grasp on the situation...only downfall is that I did not see her in the office very often.
Since the doctors rotate around at ACRM you never really knew which doctor you were seeing when you went for an appointment...you do not go onto a long waiting list to be seen...did have several problems with the billing department...No one will answer the phone and when you send an email it sometimes takes weeks to get an answers

Dr. Smeltzer was always very informative and helpful. I was transferred over to her service when my original doctor retired. When we had a failed FET she set up a call to talk about what she thought may have happened and asked if we wanted to take any next steps. She never pushed us into anything and she explained steps and details until I felt like I had a good grasp on the situation. The only downfall is that I did not see her in the office very often. Since the doctors rotate around at ACRM you never really knew which doctor you were seeing when you went for an appointment.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Stephanie Smeltzer at ACRM (CCRM Fertility Network Clinic)?
Dr. Smelzter has always been kind and caring. I don't think that feeling like a number has ever been due to her care, more so the practice. ACRM has several doctors that rotate through and you rarely ever see the same doctor twice in a row. That is the part that made me feel like more of a number because you don't get to know your doctor as well and they don't get to know you.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at ACRM (CCRM Fertility Network Clinic).
The nursing staff changed a lot so I never felt like I saw the same nurse twice. I know that with my previous doctor there was a primary nurse and I knew she was the one to contact with Dr. Smelzter it was a care team so while it was one email that I would typically communicate with it felt like it was not always the same person. Any time I did reach out with a question thought the nursing staff was always helpful in answering me.

The strengths are that with several doctors rotating in and out your appointments are efficient and you do not go onto a long waiting list to be seen. It does make it a bit confusing though because sometimes one doctor has one opinion and another has a slightly different one. We did have several problems with the billing department. No one will answer the phone and when you send an email it sometimes takes weeks to get an answers. We had to go through the office manager at one point just to get someone to call us back.

There was just one incident where I had blood work done and it was to determine if I could begin my protocol that night or not. We were always told that we would receive communication by 5pm, but that night by 6pm I had not heard from anyone. We wound up calling the on-call numbers and got a call back shortly afterwards but it was a very nerve-wracking experience when you are supposed to start protocol at 7pm and you're not sure what to do at 6:30pm.
