Dr. Le has taken the time to talk to us and answer any questions or concerns that we have. We have a lot of fertility challenges- severe endometriosis and a very low egg reserve- and he has been great about adapting our protocol and treatment plan to meet our needs, even early on.

We are still very early on in the process. However, he has discussed an aggressive protocol for us that will address egg quality over quantity. He explained that was important given my low egg reserve and my age (38). Currently, we go every menstrual cycle for an ultrasound to see if my body is ready to start IVF. Dr. Le has been very patient with my body and the time it is taking, as I am only about 3 months post-surgery.

IVFMD has global pricing for IVF treatment, which I believe is $8,500. Other costs are additional, such as baseline ultrasounds (approximately $150), anesthesia, and medications.

We have not gotten to that point in the process yet and haven’t had that discuss with him.

Dr Le is very positive. He tells me almost every appointment that my ovaries and eggs look great. He’s personable and talks to you about your treatment, but also asks about your life. He does look over your paper skirt to talk to your face when you’re up in stirrups which is funny but doesn’t bother me. I’d rather he talks to my face!

He doesn’t seem to want to diagnose. I have cystic ovaries, and my previous Dr confirmed that I have PCOS, but Dr Le says I don’t. I know I do have it, so that’s a little strange. I’m not a typical case though.

I did 3 IUIs with letrozole and hcg trigger. I took less for cycles 2-3, since I reacted too well the first one. None ended with a pregnancy. I am currently in an IVF cycle, but haven’t started stims yet, just birth control

Global IVF fee is $8,500 not including meds or genetic testing. I think anesthesiologist is a separate fee as well. Fees listed on website

He only transfers one embryo at a time. At least this is what he told me.

Only issue we had was the frozen donor eggs we wanted had not worked with his office in the past. Due to this, the whole process was delayed several months. The facility we used for donor eggs had to train the staff in Dr Le’s lab before they could accept the eggs.

Give him a chance. Even if our experience had been unsuccessful, I would have still been grateful we had the opportunity to work with him.

We originally thought IUI would be an option because our last doctor skipped everything and we immediately did 3 rounds of egg retrieval’s and then embryo transfers. No diagnosis was ever provided. Prior to meeting Dr Le I had laparoscopic surgery to diagnose endometriosis. Dr Le discussed options to do IUI, egg retrieval’s or donor eggs or donor embryos. IUI didn’t work because my tubes were sealed. So he helped us choose between frozen donor eggs or a fresh egg donor.

Insurance covered the majority. They provide costs upfront and I believe they also list them online.

We had genetic test done on the embryos and felt that due to the excellent quality we would only transfer one. And due to my age (40) there can be higher risks carrying twins.

Dr. Le is an uplifting doctor at first. He made us feel like we were going to be parents with no issues at all. He answered every question we had with lots of detail. However, once we got further into treatment that wasn't working, we would ask to switch protocol and he would dismiss it. We felt like our treatment was feeling impersonal and communication between staff was insufficient. When I needed to see another doctor in the practice, none of them were aware of any prior treatment I've had with Dr. Le and vice versa. After a few failed IUIs, Dr. Le made it seem like we were wasting our time and I should have never begun that way. This was very confusing as he was so hopeful and positive in the beginning.

Make sure you advocate for yourself. Always restate things you think are important and "brief" him on your previous visit.

I started with 50mg of clomid and a trigger my first round of IUI. My lining suffered minimally with clomid (which I didn't find out until months later) Each time after that I was on Femara 2.5 then 7.5. I was also put on Gonal F for my 3rd round with no different reaction. My lining only suffered after I had my Hysteroscopy.

I have no insurance coverage for fertility treatments. I paid $150 for each sono. I had to pay just my co pay for all meds except Gonal F which cost $400. I paid around $350 for my HSG, $300 for vial storage, and I had to pay completely out of pocket for my Hysteropscopy.

Dr. Le is indeed a good Doctor and I’m sure he was great for lots of couples. As for my husband and I, we didn’t feel he felt the urge to get us pregnant. He repeated himself a lot with the exact same words in every consultation which it didn’t give us confidence that he knew exactly what he was saying. We feel we wasted a lot of time trying several IUIs which for a person with low ATM IFV would be the wisest way to go. He also spoke about “scratching” my endometrium after a failed implementation. Wait, what? No time to waist here. We can’t keep on guessing what’s going to work due to the emotional and financial burden fertility treatment hits you with. Not cool at all. Overall just plain uncertainty during the entire treatment.

Despite of everything Doctor Le is very sweet

Well, as I mentioned before he did lots of IUIs and was very conservative with the hormone dosage specially for someone who has low ovarian reserve. My husband and I felt we wasted a lot of time

Well, he was very adamant about doing a frozen single transfer, biopsy of the embryos (which now I know that the whole process of unfreezing and freezing again the embryos can be very damaging). Anyways, I would do a fresh transfer of 2 embryos

He was very thorough in his explanations and saw me at every sonogram visit. He does everything himself so that he can be there for the patient and see the progress with his own eyes. He doesn’t necessarily remember everything you’ve told him but once he looks at your chart his memory is easily jogged. The only con is that sometimes the wait time is long bc he is being so attentive and thoughtful with each patient

Be prepared to ask questions. Take full advantage that he is not a Doctor who gives canned answers and really personalizes the experience with attentiveness

Started with an estrogen priming and then antagonist protocol. Towards the end of the previous cycle I started with an estrogen miniville patch and cetrotide. After my baseline I started with clinics, menopur, GonalF and continued with the estrogen patch. Added cetrotide about 5 days into stim and went for 10 days of stim before trigger shot

Luckily insurance covered most. Cost here is very very reasonable for DFW area. I think it’s around $11k a cycle for the global fee (doesn’t include PGS testing)

He is conservative and does not recommend or side with multiples. Especially since I’m petite

Dr Le was a joy to work with, he always explained everything patiently. He help us to have hope. He showed compassion and kindness every appointment we have with him. He helps us make the best decisions concerning our treatment.

Don't be nervous, Dr Le is a very good doctor and he will clarify any concerns you may have

Started with a Baseline sonogram the first day of my cycle to make sure there are no pre-existing cysts in my ovaries. Stared on day 3 of my cycle, took clomid for 5 days. On day 7th of my cycle, had a HSG Hysterosalpinogram to evaluate the tubes and uterus. On day 12th had a Mid-cycle Vaginal Sonogram to check the ovaries for the dominant follicle and to measure the thickness of the uterine lining. After the sonogram that day (12th) had HCG inyection (Human chorionic gonadotropin) to ensure that ovulation will occur. On day 13thm had the IUI treatment. The treatment was not successful. We did a second round using fermara instead of clomid but it was not successful either. we did labs to check hormone levels as well (TSH).

For IUI treatment, overall cost was about $1000. About $200 of that was paid toward prescription medications, and not to the clinic itself.

I am very happy with Dr. Le. I am still trying for a baby but he is as aggressive as you want to be and he takes the time to listen, explain, and answer all of my questions. He seems to adjust things as needed to see what will work.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions, ask about possible treatments, etc. - he will not hesitate to take time to talk and explain with you.

I had a MC 2 years ago and haven’t gotten pregnant since them. I seem to ovulate on my own but still no pregnancy. First round with Dr. Le we tried clomid with trigger shot. My lining ended up a bit thin so next cycle we did Femara with trigger shot and progesterone. My progesterone tested fine the previous cycle but he said it could only help. I appreciate him trying something new, since it wasn’t anything that could negatively affect the process. My lining was much better on femara so that was good but still no pregnancy. We took December off but will be returning in January ready to go.

As well as I remember, the consultation was $100-150, same cost over the phone as it would have been in office. Each ultrasound is $150 for clomid/femara monitored cycles. Trigger shot is about $150 and cost of meds just depend. For me, clomid was much cheaper than femara but my body responded better to femara.

As I stated before I love Dr. Le. After my miscarriage he personally called me and told me how sorry he was. That meant a lot to me and my husband. He's a great doctor, the only one I will use. He goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and to give you the best chances of starting a family.

Trust in what he has to say. He has the best intentions to helping you build your dream family. Be prepared that cycles aren't the same as everyone else's and no two patients have the same experiences.

Dr. Le came up with my protocol based on my labs and referral from my previous infertility doctor. Only having one ovary we knew we had to be somewhat aggressive to get a good amount of eggs at retrieval. I took Gonal-F, Menopur, and ceteroide. I did a fresh cycle based off my reaction to the medicine and my hormone levels. I had a good experience with all the medicine and his nurses went over all the medications and how to administer them before hand. We are all assigned our own nurse, I thought that was very helpful. Dr. Le made sure that everything was on tract at every appointment and that all of my questions were asked.

The clinic charges $8500. And Anesthesia was an additional $500. ICSI was included in the price and so was the first year of freezing embryos. Compared to other clinics in the area genetic testing was significantly cheaper at IVFMD.

In our case we are a young couple me 26 at the time of our cycle and him 29. We didn't feel the pressure to transfer two embryos at the same time. In addition it's a much higher risk and less successful than a single embryo transfer. We trust in Dr. Le to help us make the right decision for us and our potential baby.

He is very knowledgeable and very compassionate. I think he might be a little overworked. He oversees three clinics. He makes sure you and your spouse are part of the treatment plan. He completely took my concerns seriously that I had not been checked for anything by my OB/GYN and he found endometriosis. He did not want to me to waste money on any treatments that he did not think would be successful. He personally explained all of the costs of everything. When I applied for a grant and needed him to do paper work. he had it ready the next day.

To open to his suggestions, he has been doing this a long time and probably knows what you need the most to be successful.

He completed one diagnostic IUI cycle with us when we first went to see him. They got in for an appointment within 30 days of calling and we started the IUI process immediately.This was after I had four failed clomid IUI's with my OB/GYN and my husband had a varicocelectomy. I took femara for 5 days. I had an ultrasound at the beginning along with an OB lab panel and my husband had an advanced semen analysis done. I had an HSG and another ultrasound closer to ovulation time. He specifically told me when to use the trigger shot and he himself did the IUI. After the IUI failed he recommended that I have a lap surgery to explore further since we had been trying for four years and everything else looked normal to good. He did not want me to waste more money on IUI if there was something that we were not seeing. He found stage II endometriosis and was ready to move on to IVF for our next treatment. We are just working saving up the money for IVF now.

my diagnostic IUI with meds was $1200. My HSG, semen analysis, and OB lab panel was covered by insurance with a $30 copay. My lap surgery was covered 80% by insurance and I had to pay $3200 out of pocket. My IVF cycle will not be covered by insurance. Dr. Le estimate that it would cost $9250 for the cycle and $3000-$5000 for medications.

He recommends single embryo transfers. He sites the CDC guidelines as his reasoning.

Dr. Le was really great on explaining the entire IVF cycle in the beginning. Now that we're actively in the cycle, I don't feel as comfortable with my knowledge. The visits now with him are very short but then again he's only doing sonograms and always answers our questions while he's in the room. I'm just left with a feeling that i don't know as much as i should.

Ask questions. Ask so many that you think you're annoying him. He's very patient to answer and will explain thoroughly.

We are doing an antagonist protocol. I stared with 10 units of Lupron for 12 days. Starting day 12 I will add 300 units of Gonal, Menopur and 5 units of Lupron. Not sure of the menopur dose but its one little bottle of the liquid mixed together with one bottle of the powder. That's as far as i've gotten so i'm not sure of the rest of the process. I do know i'll have an HCG trigger shot. And progesterone suppositories and pills and minivelle patches.

IVF cycle was $8000. Medications were $4700. TESE procedure (not Dr. Le) $2000. Day of costs (anesthesia, embryo freezing) $1700

Dr Le is very open, patient, kind, caring and compassionate. I feel that he is dedicated to helping families achieve their dreams of children. He takes such care in everything he does. I will never forget him during our 2 frozen embryos transfers, he took every step to protect our embryos and make sure his placement was perfect. He did practice transfers with me each time so he knew exactly how to navigate my body and where to place our embryos before the actual transfer. He does not do anything carelessly, wrecklessly or without purpose. I never felt rushed with Dr. Le. and I wholeheartedly trust his opinion, knowledge, skill, and intent. He is a believer of God and gives Him credit above himself. Dr Le also has a great sense of humor, calming bedside nature and all around good personality. His protocols are perfected, he knows what he is doing. He strives to achieve a healthy single pregnancy and out of 3 transfers, we have 3 healthy, perfect, beautiful babies. Without Dr. Le I do not believe this would have been medically possible for my husband and I. God has blessed Dr. Le, he is a fertility genius.

our only option was IVF with ICSI. I did a drug protocol in 2010 that I can't remember everything to list it here, it was so much medication, oral, vaginal, injections, patches, all of it (Lupron, progesterone, etc.). when it was finally time for my egg retrieval, I had 23 eggs. They also had to retrieve sperm from my husband and they got 3 vials. They were able to inciminate 14 eggs, after 5 days we had 6 embryos. We transferred 2 and froze 4, in sets of 2's. 2 years after our first baby (healthy girl) I went back to Dr. Le, got on a drug protocol that began with birth control to gain control of my cycle, then went to oral, vaginal & patch hormones (progesterone, Vivel and a few others). Dr. Le completed our transfer of 2 frozen/thawed embryos and I got pregnant with 1 baby. 2 years after I had my second baby (healthy boy) I went back to Dr. Le and repeated that entire protocol using our last 2 frozen embryos and had our last baby a healthy boy. if we had more embryos I would continue the process!

we spent around $20k on IVF with ICSI, including 3 embryo transfers resulting in my 3 children.

Dr Le told my husband and me that he would not transfer more than 2 embryos because it's not responsible and lowers your chances for a healthy pregnancy due to higher chance of multiples resulting in higher risk pregnancies. He let it completely be our choice to do 1 or 2 embryos.

He’s great! He’s good at explaining the process and always willing to answer questions and adjust protocol if needed. He called after every miscarriage and said he was sorry. He’s compassionate and cares what happens to his patients.

Ask questions! It’s easy to fell overwhelmed but it’s their job to answer them.

We did the standard protocol the first two. Then we did lupron, two weeks of antibiotics instead of one to treat my chronic endometritis.

The global fee is $8500 which includes retrieval, and the first transfer and first 3 sonograms and pregnancy tests. After that it’s $2,000 each time you transfer a frozen embryo. I think the medication was around $2,500.

He is a wonderful doctor with great bed side manner. We are still undergoing treatments and hopeful we will have success again (first IUI ended in miscarriage). We will probably complete a few more IUI cycles before moving on to IVF since IUI is covered by insurance and IVF is not.

Have questions prepared before you go for your consult and appointments.

First round IUI 50mg clomid. Resulted in one nature follicle and a pregnancy. Miscarries around 6 weeks. Second round 50mg clomid. Resulted in one nature follicle and failed cycle. Third round switched to 10mg letrozole because clomid made me feel terrible. Resulted in 2 mature follicles. Failed cycle. Fourth cycle added gonal-f 50 and letrozole 5mg. No mature follicles. Canceled IUI.

My IUIs were covered by insurance. I paid about $300-400 each cycle. $60 office copay x 2, $200 for IUI, and meds were extra ($5-150).

He’s very knowledgeable! He’s also very compassionate and caring. Although, things don’t go as planned, he’s been able to adjust my treatment as needed. I feel confident that he is doing what’s right for me.

Be prepared to be seen by other doctors For a couple of my first treatments, Dr. Le was completing them. Then as time when on, the other two additional doctors step in. It was fine, but sometimes felt lost since they didn’t know what Dr. Le and I had spoken about in a previous visit.

I had a couple of iui’s- they all resulted unsuccessful. We tried with different meds and different dosage.

Every visit was a cost!

They highly encourage the single embryo transfer

Sy Q. Le was straightforward about the odds of getting pregnant my second time at age 44. He brought up the option of using donor eggs. He was encouraging when he said that any new baby would feel like my own baby even if it wasn't my biological child.

Be open to receiving honest feedback about your chances of conceiving even if it is disappointing to you. He tries to be encouraging in what can be a very discouraging process. You have to try to stay positive in order to be receptive to his suggestions about other treatments.

For my first child, I became pregnant on my 3rd round of IUI. For my second child, I tried many rounds of IUI, I tried mini-stim IVF that produced 6 embryos. finally I did a frozen embryo transfer with a donated embryo that was successful. I don't remember all the drugs I used. I know I used clomid, estrogen, baby aspirin, hcg trigger injection.

My frozen embryo transfer was $1500 as I recall.

The doctor discussed the recommended number of embryos to transfer with me. It was an appropriate number given my age and the odds of implanting.

He was very positive and encouraging about treatment and didn’t want to rush me into invasive treatments when he thought I could definitely get pregnant without. He was very patient and willing to work with us.

I’d say to start going as soon as you want to start any sort of infertility treatment. While I absolutely love my OB, REs has the tools and training to troubleshoot more effectively

I had already had surgery to rule out endometriosis and there were no other issues that could be found so Dr. Le wanted to use Clomid, tunes intercourse and trigger shots to make sure the lining and cycles were on time and correct

Dr Le. Was very sweet and kind. He took time to sit and talk to us about our options. He answered any questions we had. He explained to us what to expect in each step of the process. He always made sure we understood what to expect.

I would say to have any questions that you may have for him. Be prepared to spend a little extra time as he takes time to explain everything. I would say dont be shy and if you are unsure of anthing ask him.

We have just started and are using donor eggs and a surrogate so a protocol call for us specifically has not been made. He explained how the process will go.

Dr. Le is extremely compassionate. We had planned to transfer 2 embryos, but the day of the transfer (which happened to be a Sunday because thats just how the days fell) he said... Are you prepared for twins? I have a good feeling about this, you are going to be pregnant. Would you like to just transfer 1? YES. We transferred 1 and have 1 amazing son. Dr. Le makes you feel extremely important, and like he is giving you the treatment / advice he would give his own loved ones.

Go to him if you need any kind of fertility treatment. He is the only dr i will ever go to.

Strengths- he’s an expert in IVF and fertility. Compassionate, straight forward, timely, warm. You can tell he knows each patient and doesn’t just hand off the work to the nurses. Even though he didn’t examine me every single appointment, he was there for all the major appointments and every surgery. Weaknesses - none to report

I don’t remember what your of protocol I used during retrieval. I did FET for the transfer which included taking progesterone shots and pills and wearing an estrogen patch.

Majority of the cost were covered by my insurance but I do remember it being on set fee for the entire IVF process (not including medicine). This would make it easy for someone not using insurance

It was in late December that my husband and I visited Dr. Ly. What a wonderful person with full of compassion and empathy for his clients. We felt comfortable with him. He spent a lot of time explaining our options and what we can probably hope for. We decided to take the IVF route. As mentioned, I had low AMH level, so we knew that we might not get enough eggs to fertilize. Surely enough, there were only 4 eggs retrieved out of which only 2 were viable. Now, can you stop for a second and imagine the picture? Two viable eggs, and a very bad one vial of sperm cryopreserved?! What are the odds of success? Practically zero. I was 99.9% sure that this last IVF was going to fail. I was desperate, but I knew I had the best doctor who really cared about me and that even if the IVF failed, I knew that the doctor tried his best. It is unfortunate but true that nobody can guarantee the success of the IVF. I kept that in my mind all the way through the end. But I reconciled with myself thinking that even if the IVF failed, I would have known that we tried the best that we could, and my doctor sincerely tried the best he could. After all, this is all we can do right?! And this is the kind of a doctor Dr. Ly is. He cares deeply about his patients. He is very knowledgeable, and his staff is very pleasant to work with. His embryology lab crew are just amazing. Trust me, they know what they are doing. Guess what? I beat the odds. One of the two eggs was viable, and I got pregnant! This was one of the happiest moments in my life. With the help of God, and the doctor, I beat the odds!!!! If it was not for Dr. Ly and his wonderful team of nurses and embryologists, I would not have had my baby! It takes a lot of practice, practice, and knowledge to find one viable sperm! I bring the analogy of a fisherman in the ocean. It is not easy to find one correct DNA fish in the big ocean. But they were able to do it. These people are wonderful. I will never forget what they have done for me. Until the day I die, I will always bow my head before them in deep gratitude for the little miracle they gave me. Rest assure, he is a good doctor, a doctor that you can trust, and trust is very important in this process

Sy Le is wonderful. We had to stop treatment because of some health issues that came up for me. The only downside is they undervalued my husbands issues - which we found out from another doctor were way worse than Le or my previous doctor led on.

Be sure to do more research if anything on the male side comes back low/off.
