Ask tons of questions he [Dr. Tarun Jain] is great and always answers...He was absolutely amazing we were with him for 2.5 years and I never thought to go to another dr or get a second opinion. I would 100% recommend him. He has an amazing bedside manner and always was compassionate and kind. He has also written a book which was amazing to read and learn how invested he is in the infertility world.
Dana [at Chicago IVF] was amazing, I'm sad I don't still see her and talk with her. She was always wiling to listen and answer any questions always had an answer for us or if she didn't know she would check and promptly return phone call. She has an amazing bedside manner. Also the untraound techs were very friendly and explained everything in great detail...Ask tons of questions he [Dr. Tarun Jain] is great and always answers..

Dr. Jain listen to me and respected everything I needed to know as a nerdy researcher....Dr. Jaim puts his patients needs as a high priority, even writing a book on the perspective of patients to help folks on the Journey of infertility. When I'm ready to try again, he's the only fertility doctor I will see. Even though he has moved to Northwestern in Chicago....Don't be afraid to ask questions and offer your Insight. He will listen....They work to help creation of families. while it didn't work for me, yet, they treated me with compassion and dignity every step of the way, even with my eccentric personality. My failed success had more to do with my body failing me than the doctor and his team.
They [CIVF-Chicago IVF - Warrenville] work to help creation of families. while it didn't work for me, yet, they treated me with compassion and dignity every step of the way, even with my eccentric personality. My failed success had more to do with my body failing me than the doctor and his team....I have some pretty big allergies and only one person forgot about that with regard to prenatals that I ended up not needing after all anyway...Dr. Jain listen to me and respected everything I needed to know as a nerdy researcher....It was predominantly covered under insurance. Other than copay. Now I don't have insurance so I'd have to pay I don't remember the exact cost

Dr. Jain gave good explanations and helped me decide to do the egg retrieval. I honestly didn't interact with him much but when I did it was good. I don't have much else to say - he wasn't a big part of my experience with the egg retrieval...every time I interacted with him he treated me with respect and care. My critique of the experience is that I had very little interaction with people who could give me a sense of how the cycles were going - the clinic staff was unbelievably efficient, but the only people I spoke to were receptionists, phlebotomists, and ultrasonographers...
The nurses [at Northwestern Fertility & Reproductive Medicine] were incredibly organized. My critique is that I had very few qualitative descriptions of how things were going. Once I got a message that said "it's still early in your cycle so we expect more follicles in the coming days." Otherwise it was always a form message - a very clear and useful form message - but nothing personalized...ask the nurses for more input if you want to know what's going on...

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Tarun Jain at Northwestern Fertility & Reproductive Medicine?
During the consultation I had a very good conversation with Dr. Jain. Overall every time I interacted with him he treated me with respect and care. My critique of the experience is that I had very little interaction with people who could give me a sense of how the cycles were going - the clinic staff was unbelievably efficient, but the only people I spoke to were receptionists, phlebotomists, and ultrasonographers - no one who could tell me "things are going well - I'd guess you have 5 more days" or "things are going pretty slowly - I think you might not get a good yield this round and I suspect you'll have to do another one" which is what happened. That's fine, but I was disappointed after my first round and I wish I'd had more of a sense earlier on that it wasn't going well.

Describe your experience with your nurse at Northwestern Fertility & Reproductive Medicine. (Assigned nurse: Kait)
The nurses were incredibly organized. My critique is that I had very few qualitative descriptions of how things were going. Once I got a message that said "it's still early in your cycle so we expect more follicles in the coming days." Otherwise it was always a form message - a very clear and useful form message - but nothing personalized.
Describe your experience with Northwestern Fertility & Reproductive Medicine.
Unbelievably efficient, quick, and professional. As I've described, lacking in personalized communication/letting patients know how they're doing. Copying and pasting from before: the clinic staff was unbelievably efficient, but the only people I spoke to were receptionists, phlebotomists, and ultrasonographers - no one who could tell me "things are going well - I'd guess you have 5 more days" or "things are going pretty slowly - I think you might not get a good yield this round and I suspect you'll have to do another one" which is what happened. That's fine, but I was disappointed after my first round and I wish I'd had more of a sense earlier on that it wasn't going well.
