How was your experience with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Dr.Zore is so dedicated and enthusiastic about her profession. She genuinely loves her job and is a motivated person. For my egg retrieval, Dr. Zore carefully reviewed my case, adjusting my medication at each visit to ensure the best possible outcome. I appreciated that she always made time to answer my questions directly without the need to navigate through multiple layers of communication.
When it came to my egg transfer, we faced challenges as my body didn’t initially respond well to the medication, leading to two cancellations. Throughout these setbacks, I never felt alone. Dr. Zore and her team made me feel like we were working together as one team, committed to making the transfer a success. This journey felt like a true collaboration, with Dr. Zore and her attentive care team by my side every step of the way.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
The one advice I would give a prospective patient of Dr. Temeka Zore is to trust in the process and communicate openly with her. Dr. Zore and her team are incredibly dedicated to their patients and adapt their approach to each individual's needs.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Spring was the second clinic I visited for infertility care, and the difference was immediately clear. From my first experience, I learned how crucial it is to see my doctor in person and have the chance to ask questions directly. At every visit, Dr. Zore prioritized being there and listening attentively to my concerns. On the occasions when I couldn’t see her in person, I had full confidence that she was reviewing my monitoring results remotely. Dr. Zore adjusted my treatment to my specific needs, making me feel like a valued individual rather than just another case.
Describe the protocols Temeka Zore used in your cycles at Spring Fertility San Francisco and their degree of success.
In my case, we used donor sperm, and I had only a few eggs left in each cycle. The Spring team made the process much smoother, helping us find the right donor in a short period of time. We simply followed the clinic’s protocol, and by the end, we were confident that we had found the perfect donor.
For my egg retrieval, I was initially concerned because my body hadn’t responded well to medication due to a low AMH level, which I had learned at my first clinic. However, when I met Dr. Zore, she didn’t make me feel that this challenge would hinder my IVF journey. Instead, she used a different medication strategy to ensure my follicles grew evenly. With her care, I never felt that infertility was anyone’s fault. It became a journey we went through together as a team.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Spring Fertility San Francisco. (Assigned nurse: Emily )
I had Briana as my care coordinator and Emily as my primary nurse.
I still vividly remember the call from Emily when she told me that both embryos we submitted for genetic testing came back normal—I was so happy, so I cried. Emily was an incredible nurse; I could tell we were so excited about the news. She always ensured everything was perfectly timed for my egg retriever and egg transfer for medications and monitoring visits. Her communication was always prompt. If she is on PTO or off, the other nurses always reach out to me so I trusted the full Spring team.
We needed to find a donor quickly to ensure our procedure could happen within a year, as the end of the year was approaching. Without Briana’s guidance, we wouldn’t have been able to navigate all the paperwork and steps involved in finding a donor in time. She clearly communicated the timelines and outlined the multiple steps we needed to follow. Thanks to her clear communication and planning, we were able to complete another egg retrieval before the year ended, even considering the clinic's holiday schedule.
Describe your experience with Spring Fertility San Francisco.
I had the pleasure of meeting different doctors at Spring SF and truly appreciated their attentive care. I loved that Spring offers the opportunity to meet with doctors during monitoring visits rather than operating like a factory. The location flexibility was also a huge benefit for me. Living in San Francisco and working in South Bay, commuting to the SF location for monitoring visits could be inconvenient, especially with the hour-long drive to my work. I often opted for the Redwood City location for quick blood draws or urgent monitoring visits, which made managing my schedule much easier.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
I think the ICSI was about 23K (for the first time) and egg transfer was about 7K.
Describe Temeka Zore's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
Spring recommended proceeding with an eSET (elective single embryo transfer) based on my age and condition.
Dr. Zore...was always warm and happy to answer my questions...had to prepare for was coming in with questions. Without them, she didn't really volunteer that much information, what I should be expecting from the ultrasound, what were the results from the ultrasound, etc...PCOS and a higher likelihood of having OHSS...During the initial phone consultation, she also was patient with me and answered all of the questions I had.
[Spring Fertility San Francisco] is very clean and efficient with our visits...very careful about making sure your name appears correctly...Emily was my care coordinator. She, along with the other staff I've named, were great about responding to my messages in Salve. It made it very easy to reschedule appts, get clarity on medications, etc...Full egg retrieval payment - $9,462
How was your experience with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Overall, I was very happy with my interactions with Dr. Zore. She was always warm and happy to answer my questions. I would say the biggest thing that I had to prepare for was coming in with questions. Without them, she didn't really volunteer that much information, what I should be expecting from the ultrasound, what were the results from the ultrasound, etc. I felt like I had to ask for it sometimes.

Come prepared with questions!

Dr. Zore was very warm when I came in for ultrasound appointments. During the initial phone consultation, she also was patient with me and answered all of the questions I had.
Describe the protocols Temeka Zore used in your cycles at Spring Fertility San Francisco and their degree of success.
Started with Menopur (150 IU) & Gonal-F (150 Units) for the first 6 days. On the 7th & 8th day, I used Menopur (75 IU) & kept Gonal-F at the same (150 Units). 9th & 10th day: Menopur (75 IU) & Gonal-F (75 Units).
Starting on the 5th day, I began my Cetrotide injections (250 mcg) and continued until the 11th day. The night of the 11th, I took my trigger shot Leuprolide/Lupron (4 mg) and not the Novarel -- my understanding is that this is because I have PCOS and a higher likelihood of having OHSS.
Starting on the day before my egg retrieval (and for 7 days total), I started taking Cabergoline (0.5mg) to help my hormone levels.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Spring Fertility San Francisco. (Assigned nurse: Emily mostly answered my questions, but other folks like Allison, Nichakorn, Denisha, Erin -- I'm sure I've missed some others.)
I believe Emily was my care coordinator. She, along with the other staff I've named, were great about responding to my messages in Salve. It made it very easy to reschedule appts, get clarity on medications, etc.

Describe the protocols Temeka Zore used in your cycles at Spring Fertility San Francisco and their degree of success.
2xs IVF for cryopreservation of embryos. Both cycles consisted of birth control, gonal, menopur, cetrotide.
First time: started beginning of the cycle. AFC count at 20. Treatment lasted 11 days and had retrieval on the 13th day. Result: 16 retrieved > 9 mature > 1 embryo
-- At the beginning of the treatment with the surge of hormones, I was feeling REALLY fatigue. Called the nurse line and said it was normal. The fatigue eventually went away as the treatment continued. Would recommend taking the days easy when you are taking shots.
-- post retrieval, I had discomfort on my left abdomen. It's been 8 months and I still have mild discomfort when my follicle grows monthly.
Second time: mid-luteal cycle start. AFC count at 18. Treatment lasted 13 days and had retrieval on the 15th day. Result: 22 retrieved > 16 mature > 3 embryos (with one at low level mosaic)
-- I took it easy during treatment this time, didn't have any extreme fatigue.
-- post retrieval, it was better than the first time!
Describe your experience with Spring Fertility San Francisco.

Weaknesses: expensive; only work with selective insurance; if you have a low priority question, it might take long to get a response

Describe the costs associated with your care under Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
~20k per IVF embryo preservation with ICSI; PGT-A was extra; med: 3-4k; so about 25k per cycle
Storage is $795; bills annually either Jan or Jul; cycle waive the first billing. So you might have to start paying storage as early as 7 months after your cycle.
$545 initial consult; about $1200 for saline sonogram
would recommend Dr. Zore to any friend who is considering freezing their eggs...is knowledgeable and professional, while also being kind and personable...always knew what to expect and felt in control of my fertility decisions...Results: My initial follicle count was 21, I had 26 eggs retrieved and 20 mature eggs frozen.

How was your experience with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
I would recommend Dr. Zore to any friend who is considering freezing their eggs. She is knowledgeable and professional, while also being kind and personable. She expertly guided me through the egg freezing process and always greeted and treated me with warmth. I always knew what to expect and felt in control of my fertility decisions. She kept me up to date on how my follicles were growing and what I could expect at every visit, and the results were exactly what she had said. I spent a lot of time looking at different clinics and doctors, and am incredibly glad that I chose Dr. Zore.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Dr. Zore was incredibly warm and thoughtful throughout this process. She explained fertility, the egg freezing process, and expectations for me, all with clarity and detail. She was always kind and available, and I couldn't have asked for a better doctor to guide me through the egg freezing journey.
Describe the protocols Temeka Zore used in your cycles at Spring Fertility San Francisco and their degree of success.
Protocol: For the first week of injections, I took Gonal-F and Menopur every evening (150 units each). After a week, I added on an antagonist (Cetrotide) every morning. After a few days, I decreased the dosages for Gonal-F and Menopur. Then after 5 days of taking the antagonist, I took the trigger shot (just Lupron). The entire process, from day 1 of injections to surgery, was 20 days.
Results: My initial follicle count was 21, I had 26 eggs retrieved and 20 mature eggs frozen.

The nursing staff, especially Emily, were wonderful. I had a lot of questions during egg freezing, and frequently reached out to Emily on the patient portal. She was so wonderful!! She answered every question quickly and was always kind and knowledgeable.
Describe your experience with Spring Fertility San Francisco.
Spring Fertility is a great clinic for egg freezing. Everyone I interacted with was warm and helpful, and I felt supported and informed throughout the entire process. The one thing I'd give a heads up on is that if you go to the SOMA office, you will still have some procedures at the office on Van Ness; all surgeries are performed at the Van Ness office and weekend appointments will likely be there too. This wasn't a big issue for me at all, but worth knowing!
Describe the costs associated with your care under Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
I am insured through Progyny, and paid about $800 total for one egg freezing cycle. I think the total cost per cycle would have been about 10x that.
The IVF process can be daunting but Dr. Zore alleviated so much of my stress and anxiety by taking the time to answer all of my questions, discuss treatment plans in depth, and give her honest opinion on different protocols, medicine, etc. Every ultrasound and procedure was completed by Dr. Zore so I had ample opportunities to check in with her and chat through my latest symptoms, questions, etc. Dr. Zore also made sure to call me to check-in regarding both good and less desirable news, which made me feel like I was always seen and heard as a patient.
I have had an amazing experience with Spring Fertility San Francisco/SOMA locations. Dr. Zore, her care team, and the wonderful nurses and admin staff are all so kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Every appointment is right on time and so efficient, which is super important given the frequency of appointments during a retrieval and transfer cycle. The Salve app is extremely easy to use and I always receive a response from my care team almost immediately when I call or message via the app.
How was your experience with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Dr. Zore truly cares for patients. She always made herself available to chat with me whenever I needed (which was often!). Dr. Zore is extremely knowledgeable, transparent, honest, and reasonable. I felt so comfortable as a patient under her care (both with her bedside manner and professional expertise).
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Ask any and all questions that you have throughout the process - Dr. Zore is more than willing to discuss your questions and concerns in a transparent manner.

Dr Zore was the fourth doctor I saw as I shopped around for a clinic that I felt comfortable investing in. She made me feel at ease with her competency, and I knew she was very well-researched and up to date on the latest studies...She made personalized recommendations, and I felt like she was personally invested in me getting as good of an outcome as possible.
[Spring Fertility] Strengths: Amazing operations, sees you often, clear communication, friendliness, nice amenities making you feel as much at ease as possible in a medical setting. Caring touch points such as chocolates after retrieval and relaxing videos in lobby. Weaknesses: I can't really think of any, but I do think they could provide more lifestyle, supplement, and side effect information to prep patients. This wasn't lacking in any way that would be clinically significant, but could be more in depth to save me some googling.
How was your experience with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Dr. Zore is a very detailed and trustworthy provider. I quickly felt like she was personally invested in my success. She adjusted protocol to set me up for success, made sound recommendations, and made sure I came in for scans more often than other clinics. I really appreciated this as I like to stay informed during the uncertainty that makes an IVF cycle. I trusted Dr. Zore's advice and decisions. She ended up making sure I kept the follicle growth slow and steady, worked miracles with synchronicity, and paid attention to over stimulation.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Don't be afraid to ask questions (to her or the nurses that call you to tell you about the medication strategy after appointments). Chances are Dr. Zore will have a very informed opinion about not just your cycle but alternative protocols and the latest research. Dr. Zore really cares about your success. She strikes the right balance of smarts and directness for me personally. You might have another physician do the retrieval if on a weekend. Dr. Pasternak was my on-call physician for this reason and she was absolutely lovely and did an amazing job.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Dr Zore was the fourth doctor I saw as I shopped around for a clinic that I felt comfortable investing in. She made me feel at ease with her competency, and I knew she was very well-researched and up to date on the latest studies. She immediately corrected some incorrect information that another clinic had told me about hormone levels, and did repeat labs that turned out to be great. She made personalized recommendations, and I felt like she was personally invested in me getting as good of an outcome as possible. For example, she often booked scans earlier or more frequent to make sure that I reached synchronicity. I felt great about that. She was a bit rushed at my baseline, which is understandable, but given her attentive manner in the intake consult as well as subsequent appointments and treatment planning, I felt like I was in great hands.
Describe the protocols Temeka Zore used in your cycles at Spring Fertility San Francisco and their degree of success.
Mid-lutheal protocol to control synchronicity. Ended up opting to go on progesterone (pill) in order to grow more follicles. Cycle started with Gonal-f and Menopur - first a higher dose, and then a lower dose of both after day 4. Added antagonist towards day 6 or so. Lupron trigger. Results were growing follicles with synchronicity, and reduced risk of OHSS.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Spring Fertility San Francisco. (Assigned nurse: Nina)
Nina was my nurse, and she was an excellent communicator, and very positive. She was prompt with answers and gave me detailed instructions prior to retrieval. She swiftly worked with me through some changes in the timing of my cycle. During the cycle, NP Ursula Dean as well as Audrey Krall were very thorough, positive, and supportive whenever I couldn't see Dr. Zore in person for ultrasounds. Audrey was a great help in answering questions about any side effects I had during the treatment and made me feel secure (the SF location was more convenient for us and Dr Zore is now mainly based in the SOMA office).
Nicha was my coordinator, and she was equally sweet, attentive, and detailed. I felt great having her help me get all my ducks in a row prior to the cycle.

Dr Zore is incredibly warm, attentive, positive and confident...always made room for my fears and anxiety...left my encounters with her feeling hopeful and empowered...adjusted my protocols for retrievals and transfers after each previous cycle. Each subsequent retrieval or transfer was more successful than the prior one.

How was your experience with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
I came into Dr. Zore's care with a lot of fear and anxiety. I feel like Dr. Zore has always been super clear about expectations and really delivers results on procedures. She performed a hysteroscopy, saline sonogram, three egg retrievals and one of my transfers and I am always very confident in her abilities. She's also great at listening to any concerns I may have and offering me options that fit my goals rather than what's "industry standard."
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Don't worry-you're in good hands. Trust the process.

Nina was always extremely well organized, compassionate and went above and beyond. I started getting really anxious about coming into the city for serial testing after a failed transfer and she did a ton of research to find a lab that could do everything closer to home.
Describe your experience with Spring Fertility San Francisco.
Organization is definitely a strength. I love the treatment calendars, use of Salve app for medication dosages, coordination with pharmacy and ease of scheduling. I also like that Drs are always the default providers for monitoring, but NPs are available if you need more flexibility. Also transparent finances and good integration between nursing, dr and finance arms.

Describe Temeka Zore's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
Only transfer one embryo at a time which I like because multiple seems risky and not great evidence.
What specific things went wrong at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Failed to call with results
Describe the specific things that went wrong at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
The clinic forgot to call me with results from my hysteroscopy biopsy sample. But the information was available to me through the my account at the lab. It was a normal result and I could access it so I wasn't too worried about it.
Dr Temeka Zore has a very grounded, calm, warm bedside manner. Though she's seeing patients quickly throughout the day, I never felt like she was rushing through our appointments. She delivered medical information to me directly and took the time to ask whether I had questions or concerns, both on the medical and the emotional side of things. I felt like she was genuinely invested in a successful egg retrieval for me and was also authentically invested in doing whatever she could to help me feel as comfortable and supported throughout the process as possible.
I have only positive things to say about my experience at Spring, from start to finish. My first interactions were with a care coordinator, a wonderful person who helped me understand how the next month would go—what medications I needed to order, when to take them, how to measure my ovulation, how the timing of the rest of the month might go. This person was so communicative, patient, kind, and warm and reassured me that I'd made the right choice to go with Spring. I was told ahead of time that although my doctor was Temeka Zore, there may be times when I would need to see other doctors. This happened a few times, but I never felt like I was being handed off to someone else or like Temeka Zore wasn't still fully invested in my care (it was a day or two when she was off).
How was your experience with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Dr Temeka Zora is straightforward, sharp, confident, and well-spoken. I immediately felt a sense of trust with her on the medical side of things. At our first visit she explained things in a very basic way and was happy to go into more detail in areas I was curious about. She also calmly and compassionately held space for my anxieties around the egg retrieval process, which is something I've found many medical practitioners unable to do.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
I might give someone advice about the egg retrieval process in general—to make sure they have a comfortable home space, a support system in place, some time off work if possible. I have only positive things to say about Dr. Temeka Zore.

I went through egg retrieval as a single person, in a city I wasn't currently living in—it could have been a very lonely, challenging experience but Dr Zore made me feel like I was in extremely capable, comforting hands. I truly can't recommend her and the entire staff at Spring Fertility highly enough. I am so, so grateful to all of them.
Describe the protocols Temeka Zore used in your cycles at Spring Fertility San Francisco and their degree of success.
I don't remember specifics about my treatment strategies, but throughout my retrieval cycle Dr Zore continued to discover more follicles at each visit, and ultimately more eggs were retrieved than we even thought possible. I was initially hoping for 14 healthy eggs at best based on my initial ultrasound, and throughout the process we were tracking 19-21 healthy eggs. Ultimately Dr Zore was able to retrieve and freeze 27 healthy eggs!
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
Like every single person I interacted with at Spring, the nurses made an effort to connect with me on a human level, checking in about my physical and emotional needs. I never felt rushed by them, which is important to me as someone who really hates having blood drawn. They were extremely kind!

Describe the costs associated with your care under Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
The total cost of my egg retrieval, including a nurse concierge service that administered my shots, medications, and the cost of accommodation during the whole cycle was $15,250.
Dr. Zore was always warm, kind and knowledgeable and was ready to answer any questions I had. She really made me feel like an individual, even though her schedule was no doubt very busy....always enthusiastic, compassionate and professional. I did 1 round of egg freezing with Dr. Zore and she chose a great protocol for me, with no side effects, easy retrieval and she even took the time for a post-retrieval consultation. As I had a great response, she was mindful of OHSS risks and gave me a Lupron only trigger, which I thought was really thoughtful...
Christine was my primary nurse [at Spring Fertility] and she was really friendly, organised and responsive. She would email and call after monitoring appointments, help co-ordinate with the pharmacy and send helpful reminders for important timings. I really appreciated that she was just a call or email away if I had any questions. Catherine was my patient co-ordinator and she was great. She prepared a calendar for me before the process started and was also available to answer questions in a knowledgeable and approachable way...

If you have any questions, go ahead and ask Dr. Zore, because she will make sure to answer in a clear and friendly way.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?

Describe the protocols Temeka Zore used in your cycles at Spring Fertility San Francisco and their degree of success.
I had a standard protocol with Gonal-F and Menopur, and then Ganerelix antagonist from day 6 onwards. Lupron only trigger because I had a high response rate.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Spring Fertility San Francisco. (Assigned nurse: Christine)
Christine was my primary nurse and she was really friendly, organised and responsive. She would email and call after monitoring appointments, help co-ordinate with the pharmacy and send helpful reminders for important timings. I really appreciated that she was just a call or email away if I had any questions. Catherine was my patient co-ordinator and she was great. She prepared a calendar for me before the process started and was also available to answer questions in a knowledgeable and approachable way. The various other nurses I saw for monitoring appointments and the retrieval day were also excellent, very sweet and gentle and put you at ease. My anesthesiologist Jonathan on retrieval day was also great, explaining everything in a calm and reassuring manner, which meant a lot to me because I had never gone under anesthesia before.
Describe your experience with Spring Fertility San Francisco.
Spring Fertility is an excellent place that I would highly recommend. The doctors are highly trained and professional, and also have a great bedside manner, which I think is really important for anyone navigating a likely unfamiliar process. All my appointments were super punctual and efficient, which was great. Blood draws and ultrasounds altogether took no more than 10-15 minutes, and if the appointment was for a blood draw only, then it took less than 5 minutes. I also liked the fact that your main doctor who has cared for you throughout is also the one performing the retrieval surgery, ensuring continuity of care. The facilities at Spring Fertility are modern and clean, and at the same time very comfortable, making you feel relaxed and calm. I really liked the little touches too, from the breakfast bars for after your blood draws, to the warmed clothes and blankets and the cute chocolates they give you for retrieval day. There are two locations in San Francisco and both are centrally located and easy to reach. Appointments can be scheduled early in the morning before work and they are also open on weekends to continue with any monitoring appointments.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
Around US$8,700 for the egg retrieval procedure + around US$3,200 for the medications.
Describe Temeka Zore's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
My experience as a patient with Dr Zore was 100% positive. Obviously going through fertility treatment can be stressful and anxiety ridden, but Dr Zore made it positive due to her authenticity, confidence and competence. I always felt that Dr Zore knew what she was doing, and that I was not just another number, I was a human with real emotions, dreams and fears. I would recommend Dr Zore to anyone who is looking for a best in class doctor!
Spring is very organized, efficient, and thorough. We looked into other fertility clinics and did not perceive they were on par with the the level of organization or rigor that Spring has. Everything from their technology, treatment plans, communication, doctors, and nurses is top notch...Everyone at Spring was so happy for me after I became pregnant. The nursing/patient care team really completed the entire experience at Spring, and I could see that Spring puts a premium on holistic care.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
I would just tell the patient to ask all questions on their mind because Dr Zore welcomes that and will take the time to answer them, as well as have confidence in Dr Zore as she is highly skilled and knows what she is doing.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Dr Zore is personable, warm, and extremely knowledgable. In the first meeting, she took the time to ensure all of our questions were answered, and laid out what the treatment plan would look like. I felt an instant connection to Dr Zore and immediately knew we wanted to proceed with her.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Spring Fertility San Francisco. (Assigned nurse: Nina, Michelle Chicas, Emily)
The nurse and care coordinator were very attentive and excellent. Michelle Chicas was my care coordinator and this was a time when I was very anxious to get the ball rolling and complete everything quickly and in an efficient manner. I often had questions or concerns that I raised to Michelle, and Michelle was always patient, gracious, and understanding. She was absolutely an excellent care coordinator. Nina was my nurse, and although I never met her in person, she was very lovely as well. She was attentive, thorough, and always answered my questions in a timely manner. Everyone at Spring was so happy for me after I became pregnant. The nursing/patient care team really completed the entire experience at Spring, and I could see that Spring puts a premium on holistic care.

Dr Zore answered all questions was gentle with the exams...is a very competent physician...but I personally had disappointing results for egg freezing. I received a significantly lower number of mature eggs than expected, even up until the final ultrasound. (Most of the eggs retrieved were not mature.) She advised if I did another round I could stim for longer and likely have better results, but I don’t think I will pursue
This [Spring Fertility San Francisco] clinic was very very nice! The app allowed communication and organization in instructions, meds, care support etc. I never waited long for appointments and all the staff worked seamlessly together. One thing that could have been communicated more heavily was how rough the recovery is...They [nurses] were all amazing, particularly the care coordinator. Using the app allowed for easy communication.

Dr Zore is a very competent physician, and her clinic and staff are great, but I personally had disappointing results for egg freezing. She advised if I did another round I could stim for longer and likely have better results, but I don’t think I will pursue. She and her care team answered all questions and were helpful with working with the pharmacy. One aspect I hadn’t expected was the severity of the pain after the egg retrieval, which was significant for about a week.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Im sure anyone considering egg freezing already knows this, but it is a large gamble at a very high price, and it’s not unlikely to have disappointing results.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?

Describe the costs associated with your care under Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
Dr Zore took the best care of us, taking time to answer my questions and go in detail about all of our questions. I was impressed with her warm bedside manner, procedural skill and knowledge of the literature. I always felt like I was in the best hands. She changed our protocol and I got higher PGS normal embryos from our embryo banking cycles with her than at a prior clinic...
[Spring Fertility] Great with communication, timely appointments, efficient setup. Excellent lab also. Transferred from another bigger clinic and the difference was night and day. Also, cost was about the same so better service for the same price roughly...[nurses] Really organized, called when they said they would, good communicators....

I was impressed with her warm bedside manner, procedural skill and knowledge of the literature. I always felt like I was in the best hands. She changed our protocol and I got higher PGS normal embryos from our embryo banking cycles with her than at a prior clinic (3 and then 8!!!) Having a positive pregnancy test after the first transfer was also a nice surprise. I recommend her highly to anyone.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Dr Zore’s calm demeanor and excellent medical skill/knowledge really helped us - we highly recommend her.

Dr Zore spent all the time necessary to answer my questions and go over treatment details with patience and expertise.
Describe the protocols Temeka Zore used in your cycles at Spring Fertility San Francisco and their degree of success.
Used lower doses of medications for longer to aid in egg quality, added growth hormone. We did a modified natural cycle transfer which was also great because I only required 2 weeks of supplemental progesterone.

Comparable to other area clinics
Describe Temeka Zore's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
We prioritized my (and babies) safety and transferred only 1 genetically normal embryo.
She [Dr. Temeka Zore] was understanding of how anxious I was for the appointment, but it felt a little sterile. I also had to go back because she couldn't perform the egg assessment the first time and I felt it wasn't particularly understanding of how stressful it felt...She did make some guesses (that turned out to be incorrect) so when the results weren't expected, it caused me stress...
It's [Spring Fertility San Francisco] a nice space, feels both safe and comfortable, and clean and sanitary for a doctor's office. The space downtown near Salesforce that I went to was calming. The office by Van Ness was a bit confusing and stressful...One nurse, when I had to go in a 2nd time, was incredibly compassionate. I wish I could remember her name! She could tell I was ill at ease and was very friendly and relatable.
How was your experience with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
I was incredibly anxious about the appointment, I felt that she at least explained the fist time I met her, the process. She did make some guesses (that turned out to be incorrect) so when the results weren't expected, it caused me stress.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Do your own research ahead of time and come in with specific questions. Know she won't necessarily answer everything, but keep calm and an open flow of communication.

[Dr. Temeka Zore] very direct and sets expectations well....always available to answer questions, but this really only works if you know what you don't know...I believe my protocol was standard...use Leupron, not the Novarel, which I believe did help me to not have very severe ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome symptoms afterwards.
I did not communicate with [Spring Fertility San Francisco] frequently. Communication was through the Salve app...no real issue with any of the staff, but the app interface itself is horrendous...$9960 for ovarian stimulation and monitoring, retrieval, and identification and crypreservation of oocytes....additional $3544...for my medication
How was your experience with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
She's very direct and sets expectations well. She is always available to answer questions, but this really only works if you know what you don't know. In general with any medical procedure, I value when professionals are able to help guide you to ask the right questions. I felt as though I never knew what questions I should be asking. This is her only area of improvement from my perspective. Otherwise, Dr. Zore projects confidence, professionalism, and is friendly. She was also very patient and flexible when I missed my appointment time (completely due to my own fault), which I very much appreciated.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Do you research and come prepped beforehand with any questions you may have.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Dr. Zore is brisk, professional, and friendly.
Describe the protocols Temeka Zore used in your cycles at Spring Fertility San Francisco and their degree of success.
I believe my protocol was standard. I did regularly go in every few days for blood tests in which Dr. Zore adjusted my Gonal F and Menopur. At the point of my trigger, she opted to only have me use Leupron, not the Novarel, which I believe did help me to not have very severe ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome symptoms afterwards.

I did not communicate with them frequently. Communication was through the Salve app. There was no real issue with any of the staff, but the app interface itself is horrendous.
Describe your experience with Spring Fertility San Francisco.
Really the only issue I had was communicating through the horrendous app and having to access documents and information through the poor app interface. The worse part is how the direct messages are never consolidated in one thread, so you have to click through multiple separate threads with the same person to find information you need. I just wish they could make better investments in their tech stack.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
$9960 for ovarian stimulation and monitoring, retrieval, and identification and crypreservation of oocytes. I paid an additional $3544 to Alto pharmacy for my medication.
Dr. Zore was extremely knowledgeable and competent...didn't find her to be overly warm/friendly, but she wasn't cold--truly just matter-of-fact/professional...very professional and provided all the information about my treatment...also took my concerns into consideration
[Spring Fertility San Francisco] is clean, calming and welcoming. The process is very organized and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful...have somebody on call after-hours, which was helpful in an emergency, though I did find it difficult to reach them at times (i.e. many buttons pressed through the phone)
How was your experience with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Dr. Zore was extremely knowledgeable and competent--I trusted her completely and would recommend her to anyone. My only caveat is that if a potential patient wants a super warm/bubbly personality, then I might suggest a different doctor. I really want to emphasize that Dr. Zore is a great doctor and I would use her again--it's really a matter of preference.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Don't be afraid to ask any questions/express any concerns you may have--she will answer them honestly.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Dr. Zore was very professional and provided all the information about my treatment, always making sure to answer any questions I had. She also took my concerns into consideration (ex. I didn't want to do an intravaginal ultrasound, so she allowed for an abdominal ultrasound instead). I didn't find her to be overly warm/friendly, but she wasn't cold--truly just matter-of-fact/professional. I did trust her completely with the process because of the knowledge she displayed.
Describe the protocols Temeka Zore used in your cycles at Spring Fertility San Francisco and their degree of success.
She recommended a post-luteal treatment plan for me (I believe because of my AMH levels and because she generally prefers this plan). I had ~2 weeks of injections, with two stimulation shots at night for about a week and then the antagonist medication being added in the morning starting about the second week. Trigger shot was ~2 days before the retrieval.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Spring Fertility San Francisco. (Assigned nurse: Emily)
I mostly interacted with Emily over the phone/messaging; I interacted with a number of different nurses/phlebotomists at the clinic. They were all truly wonderful--I am very squeamish and they were extremely accommodating--making sure I had the best phlebotomists, allowed me to lay down and have a family member with me, etc. I must give a special shoutout to the phlebotomists (especially Winnie)--they were incredibly fast and painless.
Describe your experience with Spring Fertility San Francisco.
The clinic is clean, calming and welcoming. The process is very organized and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Like all medical establishments, you should advocate for yourself (don't be afraid to voice your concerns/preferences), as they were extremely accommodating (but I had to ask/reiterate my wants at times). They have somebody on call after-hours, which was helpful in an emergency, though I did find it difficult to reach them at times (i.e. many buttons pressed through the phone). They were always willing to explain things, and were sure to communicate changes in my medications in a timely manner. They made the retrieval process as comfortable as I can imagine (heated blanket, etc.) I would 100% recommend Spring to anybody.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
I haven't yet received my bill but I have Progyny insurance and my memory from speaking to the rep at the beginning of the process, my bill will be $3000 - $4000.
Describe Temeka Zore's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
[Dr. Temeka Zore has] good communication...enjoyed the direct phone calls from her vs. from nurses when delivering tough messages...called to follow up a day or two after delivering tough messages (I.e. no embryos passed PGTa testing)...Second cycle increased dosages slightly yielded better results (higher egg count)
[Spring Fertility San Francisco has] Nice and clean offices...office staff are always friendly and know what to do, obviously well trained...Weakness: depending on what day/office, it can get busy so you have to wait for bloodwork, sometimes up to 30 mins if over the weekend and staff is short. Weekday appointments are much smoother and less crowded.
How was your experience with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
- good communication
- enjoyed the direct phone calls from her vs. from nurses when delivering tough messages
- thoughtful that she called to follow up a day or two after delivering tough messages (I.e. no embryos passed PGTa testing)
- I usually prefer men doctors as they tend to avoid sugar coating things, vs. Zore was very direct when she needed to be, and sensitive/caring when appropriate.
- takes time to explain course of action and next steps
- appreciated when she lets me know ahead of time if another doctor will be seeing me on a particular day
- felt like a partnership during the process vs a patient/doctor relationship.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Ask all your questions and don’t hold back. You’ll be happy that you did.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
She has the right amount of balance between bluntness and good bedside manners. These appointments can be emotionally sensitive but I felt she managed it well, at least for me.
Describe the protocols Temeka Zore used in your cycles at Spring Fertility San Francisco and their degree of success.
Always started with birth control, followed by dosages of gonal f and menopur. Near retrieval date has increased monitoring and bloodwork. Second cycle increased dosages slightly yielded better results (higher egg count)
Describe your experience with your nurse at Spring Fertility San Francisco. (Assigned nurse: Emily)
Nursing coordinator is always warm and nice. She was always helpful in answering questions or getting me the information I needed. Her job or purpose really drove efficient communication and effective care in my opinion. The structure they have works well.
Describe your experience with Spring Fertility San Francisco.
Nice and clean offices, well kept. The office staff are always friendly and know what to do, obviously well trained. Love that they always have the breakfast bars in the lobby. Weakness: depending on what day/office, it can get busy so you have to wait for bloodwork, sometimes up to 30 mins if over the weekend and staff is short. Weekday appointments are much smoother and less crowded.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
Mostly covered by insurance but towards the end, the out of pocket cost of ~$25k for retrieval cycle and $5k-$6k for transfer cycle. Meds mostly covered through insurance
[Dr. Temeka Zore is] A competent and respectful doctor...gave good explanations on eggs vs embryos...just freezing eggs...took Gonal-F, Menopur, and Cetrotide at different points in the process with the dose changing depending on the latest blood tests and how my eggs were looking.
Spring Fertility clinic is really nice and calming with lots of light...All communication is through a phone app portal and/or a voicemail which is frustrating...care coordinators were quite fast and responsive though...wished the out-of-pocket cost and process were described clearly.
How was your experience with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
A competent and respectful doctor- I was in good hands. I saw several other doctors at Spring Fertility as well and had a good experience. (I was starting a new job closer to the Silicon Valley Spring facility and also just prioritized what worked best for my schedule. I didn’t care who probed my vagina. My retrievals were also on Saturdays.).
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Order cheap ovulation kits and relax, you will be waiting longer than you think. I really appreciated how Spring gave a sample calendar to explain how the schedule might work, but the evaluation and procedures started after ovulation (I assumed it would be immediately after and I would have to rush over, but it wasn’t. I wasted money on the expensive tests for no reason.)
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Treated respectfully with clear explanations of the process. Since I was just freezing eggs, there was not so much need discuss beyond technical side of things. She gave good explanations on eggs vs embryos.
Describe the protocols Temeka Zore used in your cycles at Spring Fertility San Francisco and their degree of success.
I don’t really remember, but I took Gonal-F, Menopur, and Cetrotide at different points in the process with the dose changing depending on the latest blood tests and how my eggs were looking.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
Really helpful at explaining the process and answering all my questions, especially around activity restrictions and aftercare.
Describe your experience with Spring Fertility San Francisco.
I picked Dr. Zore since I thought I’d be able to do appointments and follow ups at the SF SoMa office, but literally none of my appointments or retrieval were there. That was annoying because I was hoping to take BART for the appointments instead of dealing with the drive and paid stressful parking in the garage. (The garage was actually closed on Saturdays during my retrieval.). The Spring Fertility clinic is really nice and calming with lots of light (the blood test area in the SF office had a great full wall corner window) and there are nice Izze sparkling juices in the lobby which I really appreciated. All communication is through a phone app portal and/or a voicemail which is frustrating if there’s a reason you need to reach the front desk for something last minute like if you’re running late or you need to change your appointment to a different location, or have followup questions on the weekend. The care coordinators were quite fast and responsive though, so this wasn’t too bad. My husband did his genetic testing and got a surprise insurance rejection in the mail for a massive amount of money and it was really stressful. I wish it was made more clear to us that this was just a formality and wished the out-of-pocket cost and process were described clearly.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
Covered mostly by previous employer fertility coverage, besides some copays and medications. I can’t remember the total at the end.
Describe Temeka Zore's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
[Dr Zore was] gentle and transparent throughout the entire process...always available to answer questions, walk me through exactly what was expected to occur, and communicative outside of office visits...never felt forced to do anything...only needed one cycle to achieve my egg retrieval goals
[Spring Fertility San Francisco] felt like a well-oiled machine. Monitoring appointments were done during certain hours and the team always communicated that...team is really helpful in coordinating around your schedule...full care costs roughly $14,000 which included all visits, bloodwork, medications, and procedure
How was your experience with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Dr Zore Dr Zore and her care team were gentle and transparent throughout the entire process. I felt that Dr Zore and her team were always available to answer questions, walk me through exactly what was expected to occur, and communicative outside of office visits. Any hesitations or questions were always addressed before the next phase, realistic expectations were presented, communication around medications and how my body might react (or not react) were explained. I felt not only supported by the team throughout the process, but I also felt like I remained in control of my body and the choices being made to have a successful procedure throughout the process. I never felt forced to do anything, and whenever a hesitation or nervousness arose, Dr Zore and the care team where there to respond to anything.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Don't hesitate to ask questions. Whatever is on your mind, no matter how small it's worth asking. Dr Zore is more than willing to engage and respond to you.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Dr Zore and her care team definitely made me feel human. She explained the procedure step by step, and continued to do so throughout the process. I never felt like I didn't know what was next. She was always willing to answer questions, and even took the time throughout the consultation process to ensure I felt comfortable and knew what could happen - both good or bad. I never felt forced to do anything, and no question I had was left unanswered at any point in the process. The same goes for each member of the care team as well. Though I did not see Dr Zore at every appointment, the nurses drawing blood were very approachable and also willing to answer questions about the process or the medications.
Describe the protocols Temeka Zore used in your cycles at Spring Fertility San Francisco and their degree of success.
I took Follistim 225 IU and Menopur 150 IU for about a week before decreasing each does. I believe I then took the antagonist medication Ganirelix for another 5 days and a final boost from the Follistam before being instructed to trigger with Lupron.
My body reacted incredibly well to the medications. I was pleasantly surprised with the results, as I only needed one cycle to achieve my egg retrieval goals.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Spring Fertility San Francisco. (Assigned nurse: Emily)
The care staff, Emily in particular, were very kind and responsive. I had a number of questions regarding the medications and how to correctly administer and the team was always very responsive and ready to answer questions as well as clarify dosage and any strict timing instructions. It's a bit nerve-wracking doing self-injections but the team was incredibly helpful with all the details it made things a lot easier.
Describe your experience with Spring Fertility San Francisco.
The team is really helpful in coordinating around your schedule. The procedure does require a lot of blood work, so you'll need to go to the clinic multiple times, but the team is very transparent about when they need blood work and most of the time willing to work on your schedule.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
It felt like a well-oiled machine. Monitoring appointments were done during certain hours and the team always communicated that. If there were ever any sort of conflict they always made room or communicated that it would have to be with a different doctor who might be on-site instead of Dr Zore. I also always had the choice to see Dr Zore at one location or the other (San Francisco has 2), both are easy for me to get to but I appreciated having the choice. I also appreciated having the communication if Dr Zore was unavailable for whatever reason, that another Dr would see me at the same time because the was mindful of my schedule.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
My full care costs roughly $14,000 which included all visits, bloodwork, medications, and procedure
Dr. Zore was compassionate, generous with her time, and extremely helpful during my egg freezing journey. She answered questions comprehensively with patience and professionalism - she always made me feel like I was the only one in the room and that my treatment was all going according to plan -- nothing phased her. I felt very cared for in her hands. What I appreciated the most was that she...went the extra mile to help plan and prepare 2 treatment plans back-to-back for me when I unexpectedly got laid off and had a hard date on the calendar where I'd be losing my insurance. Led by Dr. Zore, the whole team rallied to figure out how I could max my remaining time in order to get 2 rounds of retrieval covered.
I had an overall excellent experience at Spring Fertility. The staff is friendly, organized, and efficient. I always felt well taken care of, from my first initial phone consult all the way through surgery and post-care instructions and follow-ups. What I appreciated the most was having a dedicated nurse assigned to my fertility / egg freezing journey; I felt so comfortable having a "go to" person ready to answer questions, quell doubts, help order medications, etc. Beyond that, the office itself is run punctually, and Dr. Zore always showed up prepared, was generous with her time, and delivered comprehensive and compassionate care. I really felt we were on a "team!"

Other pros: all patients & doctor care teams communicate via an App which made everything organized in one place, which was so helpful when tracking / following medication doses and injection timing.
Billing and info packets came quickly -- everything was a breeze. Because of the level of care and professionalism that Spring offered, I genuinely felt the only task I had to focus on was slowing down and paying attention to my general health, while being gracious with my body during treatment. And I had such an amazing team of women supporting me and encouraging me throughout the process at Spring, which made the experience feel more comforting.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Spring Fertility San Francisco. (Assigned nurse: Christine )
I'm so grateful that Christine was my dedicated care nurse. She was the epitome of friendly, prepared, and informative. She always had a sunny disposition and a spirit of helpfulness. I felt very comfortable asking her questions in between visits, and she was even generous enough to share some of her own experience undergoing treatment. She was very responsive and I never, ever felt out of touch. It was like I was going through it with a buddy. :)

I highly recommend starting your egg freezing journey at Spring Fertility!
Dr. Zore is the perfect balance of straightforward and warm. She is clearly extremely knowledgeable and an expert in her field, but is still able to answer questions so that someone (like me!) that came in with no understanding of how the fertility/IVF works could clearly understand expectations, risks, and each step of the process. I always felt comfortable to ask her anything, never felt judged, and felt like I was in capable hands of someone who was going to get the best results for me possible (which she did!)....
[nurses at Spring Fertility] were extremely responsive to both phone calls and emails, and extremely knowledgeable about the IVF process. They would send instructional videos, stats on what to expect, and other resources...Scheduling is easy, and they are always on time. Billing was transparent and they would proactively get approval from our insurance before each treatment and set expectations of what we owed...

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Choose her as your doc! And don't be afraid to ask her any questions. She will explain anything you need to understand to make the process more comfortable for you, understand your results, know what to expect.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Dr. Zore and the entire Spring care team treated me like an individual human throughout the entire process. They were efficient, reliable, knowledgeable, and accessible for questions, but also I truly felt like Dr. Zore and the team were cheering for me every step of the way in the IVF process. I felt encouraged and supported.
Describe the protocols Temeka Zore used in your cycles at Spring Fertility San Francisco and their degree of success.
I don't remember a lot of specifics on treatment besides we had very good results (five strong embryos frozen in first and only try and one successful pregnancy after first transfer)
Describe your experience with your nurse at Spring Fertility San Francisco. (Assigned nurse: Bridget for egg retrieval, Nina for transfer a year later)
Bridget was my primary nurse during my retrieval process and Nina was my primary nurse during my transfer process. Both were warm and supportive, answered my MANY questions, were extremely responsive to both phone calls and emails, and extremely knowledgeable about the IVF process. They would send instructional videos, stats on what to expect, and other resources. They really made the experience seamless. My husband and I kept saying we wished all medical care experiences could be as great as what we received at Spring, and so much of this was thanks to the incredible nurse care.
Describe your experience with Spring Fertility San Francisco.
Spring is the most effective and efficient medical office my husband and I have ever experienced. Scheduling is easy, and they are always on time. Billing was transparent and they would proactively get approval from our insurance before each treatment and set expectations of what we owed. As previously mentioned, the nurse and doctor team were able to answer any questions and accessible via email, phone, and their portal. My one minor complaint is they switched to a new patient portal midway through my treatment and there was a bit of a learning curve trying to figure out where things were posted in the portal. For any new patients, I would highly recommend them and think Spring is the way of the future for how doctor's offices should be run -- with technology, efficiency, easy responsive communications through multiple avenues, on time and with great results!
Describe the costs associated with your care under Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
We have Progyny to cover fertility treatment so most of our treatments was covered by them. Spring would proactively get treatments pre-approved by them so we never had to worry about denied coverage or even having to deal with them much directly which was a huge bonus. I think we ended up paying about $3K total out of pocket, but to be honest, I never really added up the total cost with what Progyny covered.
Describe Temeka Zore's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
She [Dr. Zore] reassured me that we were doing the right thing and taking the right steps, and took the time to answer all of my (many) questions. With the more unpleasant diagnostics like the HSG, which I really struggled with, she was very reassuring and empathetic. I always felt safe and trusted her with my care completely...I felt like I had realistic expectations and had a good idea of what the following months of treatment might look like. Although our first IUI was not straight forward (I needed some additional tests to further investigate structural abnormalities & the medication dosage needed to be adjusted)...
The nursing staff at Spring were fantastic. They were always kind and warm in the clinic, and communicated efficiently through email too. I always knew who to contact with questions, and could rely on them to get back to me in a timely manner...We almost never had to wait for an appointment or procedure. It's also great that they have their own lab, so for the most part I could just go to them instead of going to a labcorp...
How was your experience with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
My experience as a patient of Dr Zore's was as good as it gets. From the first consult she thoroughly explained all options to us in depth, from timed intercourse to IVF, and discussed the pros and cons of each with us. She worked with us to decide on a treatment plan that would maximize the possibility of a pregnancy, taking into consideration limitations from our insurance, how many children we want to have, our work schedule, and my comfort with the medical procedures. We decided on trying 3-4 rounds of IUI, and then moving to IVF if it was not successful. After finding some abnormalities on my HSG, we then decided to try just 1-2 IUI before resorting to IVF. Going into our treatment, I felt like I had realistic expectations and had a good idea of what the following months of treatment might look like. Although our first IUI was not straight forward (I needed some additional tests to further investigate structural abnormalities & the medication dosage needed to be adjusted), we were very lucky to have a successful pregnancy on our first IUI treatment, and we now have a beautiful baby boy. I am so grateful to Dr Zore for taking such good care of us, and would love to see her again for our next child.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Don't hesitate to ask all the questions. Dr Zore does an amazing job of listening and discussing treatment options, and will help you fully understand your options so that you can guide your own care as much as possible.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
Dr Zore was very warm and understanding of my condition (PCOS). She reassured me that we were doing the right thing and taking the right steps, and took the time to answer all of my (many) questions. With the more unpleasant diagnostics like the HSG, which I really struggled with, she was very reassuring and empathetic. I always felt safe and trusted her with my care completely.
Describe the protocols Temeka Zore used in your cycles at Spring Fertility San Francisco and their degree of success.
I have PCOS and do not ovulate, and do not have periods. To start, we had to induce a period with medication, then I took letrozole for a few days. On the checkup ultrasound, there was no ready follicle, so the dose of letrozole had to be increased which stretched the cycle a bit longer. On the next followup the follicle had grown so we were able to set a date for the IUI, and I gave myself the injection to induce ovulation the night before.

Describe your experience with Spring Fertility San Francisco.
Spring is fantastic. The clinics are clean, aesthetically pleasing, and very well run. We almost never had to wait for an appointment or procedure. It's also great that they have their own lab, so for the most part I could just go to them instead of going to a labcorp. It was a little bit bitter sweet when I got pregnant and had to leave Spring for the rest of my care, I wish I could have stayed with them the whole time!
Describe the costs associated with your care under Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
Majority of my care was covered by insurance, but there was a few hundred dollars of copay for the initial diagnostics. Most of the cost was from the genetic testing for myself and my husband.
Describe Temeka Zore's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
Dr. Zore was with me for every step. She took the time to answer all of our questions. We never felt rushed, like she had to get away to another patient. After my first 3 losses (one chemical prior to IVF, then 2 transfers that I got pregnant and lost) she personally called me to check on me. She seemed as determined to help me get pregnant and I was to get pregnant...There was never any reason why I couldn't get, or stay pregnant, but Dr. Zore kept trying...
Everyone on staff [at Spring Fertility] was always so caring. They clearly remember you and follow up with you. They really cheer you on...I wish I had known that all procedures would be done in the main office, and not the SOMA office, as it is farther away for me, but I don't regret choosing Spring at all. I also appreciated that they had a lab in house. Most test results come in very quickly. If going to the SOMA office, just know that google map instructions are wrong, follow the email instructions they send you...
How was your experience with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
I don't think I was an easy case. Every single test I took came back normal. There was never any reason why I couldn't get, or stay pregnant, but Dr. Zore kept trying. I think I too, every test she could think of, determined to find out why we were not being successful. She never spoke down to us and always answered our questions thoughtfully. She felt like our ally in the process. Her faith that we would eventually be successful really helped me and my husband keep up hope as well.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
This is more for someone seeking fertility treatment than specifically seeing Dr. Zore: there may not be a specific thing "wrong" and that is almost harder than finding a cause, because you have nothing to blame and no clear course of action. There is nothing to "fix."
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
My journey to my current pregnancy was not an easy one. Dr. Zore was with me for every step. She took the time to answer all of our questions. We never felt rushed, like she had to get away to another patient. After my first 3 losses (one chemical prior to IVF, then 2 transfers that I got pregnant and lost) she personally called me to check on me. Describe the protocols Temeka Zore used in your cycles at Spring Fertility San Francisco and their degree of success.
When we were diagnosed with unexplained infertility we were given the option to move forward with IUI or IVF. I'd had my heart set on IUI before that since it seemed so much less scary, invasive and expensive. However, when Dr. Zore explained the likelihood that IUI would work, and the odds weren't much better than trying naturally, we decided to go straight to IVF. In September 2021 I started my stimulation cycle for egg retrieval. We got 33 eggs! By the time we got through all the steps, fertilization and genetic testing we ended up with 11 healthy embryos. My first frozen transfer was early November 2021, after a natural cycle. I got pregnant, found out it was twins, lost one twin, then at 9 weeks there was no more fetal heartbeat. I had to have a manual uterine aspiration (MUA) to resolve the pregnancy. We did another natural cycle embryo transfer in June 2022. I got pregnant, but my HCG levels were not rising appropriately. We thought it might be ectopic. Thankfully it was not, but it also wasn't a viable pregnancy. Then I had my second MUA. September 2022 we started a controlled cycle. This was much more involved and required an injection every day for 10 weeks, and additional medications for 3 weeks after that. It was really, really hard but I am now 13 weeks pregnant!

Both San Francisco clinics are very pretty and clean. Describe the costs associated with your care under Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco.
I am extremely lucky that our health insurance covers fertility treatments. We had to pay our deductible for the year and any extras that were not covered by insurance. Unfortunately my insurance did not cover the MUA procedure, which was about $2500, but that is not Spring's fault and the notified me right away.
Dr. Zore is exceptionally knowledgeable and always refers to the research when describing why we would do something. She brought a calm and confident energy to all interactions and made me feel extremely comfortable with what we were doing each step of the way. When we got less-than-ideal results after our first retrieval she changed course and identified a better protocol that ended up yielding much better results...
Spring provides a very professional, comfortable environment. I felt very taken care of. A good thing to know is that your provider may not always be the none to see you for an appointment or even for your retrieval or transfer...the doctors rotate on-call during holidays/weekends (understandably) so if your procedure falls on a weekend you may see someone else. Overall, I felt that everything was well organized in terms of communication and I appreciated the app as a way to always check on my dosages and receive any communication regarding appointments and medications...

How was your experience with Temeka Zore at Spring Fertility San Francisco?
I am Soo happy that Dr. Zore is my doctor. Since day 1, we have been nothing but happy with our experience with her. When we first came into the clinic she took time to explain all of our options in an easy to understand way. She is always available for questions and always answers with grace. I always greatly trust her opinion and expertise as it is clear she is very knowledgeable in her field.
She is also an excellent doctor.
My egg retrieval went very smoothly and she was able to retrieve 18 eggs which resulted in 6 healthy embryos. My first embryo transfer was unsuccessful because it turned out I had endometritis, but the second one worked and I am now 14 weeks pregnant!
Throughout the procedures she listened to me when I said I had a low pain threshold and she adjusted my meds accordingly. She also was very kind to setup two ultrasounds with us before we had to switch to the obgyn. I wish Dr. Zore could be with us throughout the entire pregnancy. I miss her and her staff.
We had such a great experience and will be happy to be under her care for baby #2!

The entire staff at Spring was very polished! Sometimes it felt like I was walking into a high end spa. Everyone was very nice, helpful, and knowledgable. Spring also has an app now to make communication even easier. I can ask so many questions and I get answers from the team right away.
The only thing I would change is that for some of the medication I had to take before the embryo transfer, it would have been helpful if the nurse was super clear of what time of day to take the meds. I had to learn the hard way that one pill made me VERY SLEEPY and should be taken before bed. Ever since that incident the nurse was clear though.
Describe your experience with Spring Fertility San Francisco.
Spring Fertility is very high end and I felt very safe and comfortable in the clinic. The waiting rooms are clean, full of snacks and nice drinks. All the rooms have beautiful art work, the bathrooms have high end fixtures, and the patient rooms come with fancy TVs so you can watch along with the doctor.
I was very impressed with the facilities. In San Francisco, you can also make appointments at two different locations, depending on what's convenient for you.
Also, I .love the new app the clinic provides so you can view results and text your team right from your phone.

[Dr. Zore] was very clear about the treatment process and what to expect, she is a warm and friendly person and always made me feel cared for, and she's extremely knowledgeable and was always happy to answer my questions. I am very happy with the results of my egg freezing process with Dr. Zore... I had appointments almost every other day while I was taking my shots so that Dr. Zore could make adjustments to my dosage. My retrievals yielded 11 eggs the first time and 15 the second for a total of 26 eggs.

I had appointments almost every other day while I was taking my shots so that Dr. Zore could make adjustments to my dosage. The cost for treatment was $8750 for my first round, and a 10% discount off that amount for my second round. There is an interest-free payment plan of $244 x 36 months that you can use for one round (you do need to pay your first round in full in order to do the second round, but I was able to pay the discounted rate in full and then do the payment plan for the full amount when I decided to do a second round). I did a medication package with Spring for my prescriptions at Alto Pharmacy and that was $4100 for the first round and $4400 for the second.
