Dr. Weitzman is knowledgeable, communicative, and met my needs as a patient. I am eternally grateful to her and her amazing team for helping me and my husband on our journey to become parents. Because of her and her expertise, our baby girl will be here in August.

She is great. She has a great bedside manner. She is warm but will not just tell you what you want to hear. She keeps it realistic and doesn’t try to push you into anything you don’t want to do. Bring lots of questions and be prepared to learn.

Even though I was a candidate for IUI, we agreed that because I was over 35, the sooner we froze my eggs with IVF, the better quality and number I would be able to obtain and thus increased my chances. After 1 failed IVF cycle and no embryos left, I took Metformin orally for 3 months before prepping for my second cycle to increase my egg quality in hopes of getting more embryos. It worked because we got 3 embryos from my second retrieval, 1 of which became our miracle baby. After my second failed FET, we opted for a mock cycle to confirm that our timing was correct before we were down to our last embryo. Other doctors don’t try a mock cycle until you’ve had 3 failed FET which in my case would have left me with my last embryo before we attempted something different. Unfortunately even though we gained information to alter the approach of my third FET, it was unsuccessful. But, our last and final FET following my natural cycle and God’s timing ended up being what worked!

The cost of an IVF cycle was about $20K. Luckily I started a new job just before starting and had insurance coverage so I was extremely blessed to only have copays/deductible.

Dr. Weitzman and IVF Florida do not transfer more than 1 embryo at a time. At the time, I may have considered 2 but I respected the decision and understood the rationale.

Dr. Weitzman is blunt, and straight forward, but not particularly compassionate or warm. She will casually throw out phrases like "during your next IVF cycle" like it is a foregone conclusion that we will throw another$20k into her clinic. Contact with her is minimal, the process at IVF Florida is run more by nurses.

If you want Face Time with your doctor, see someone else.

I did 17 days of birth control, followed by a stim cycle of gonal-F and Menopur. Trigger was HCG. Retrieval got 6 eggs (they ever told me how many to expect during ultrasound prior to retrieval). 5 fertilized. 3 made it to blastocyst. We did PGS testing, which the doctor did not reccommend. Two were chromosomally abnormal and would have resulted in miscarriage, and one normal. So potentially I would have paid $6k for an implantation that was chromosomally abnormal and would have resulted in miscarriage, and had to pay another $6k to try again. I am scheduled for implantation on 10/22. I am currently on Lupron, 10 units daily, and estrogen patches.

It is a cattle call.

A few thousand in miscellaneous tests and appointments. $12,000 for retrieval. $1,900 + $980 for PGD testing. $5,000 for implantation. $3,0000 in medication, because they called in double what I needed.

Dr. Weitzman's communication style is very compassionate. She takes her time to ensure that all questions are addressed; and encouraged us to call and ask to speak with her directly, if we had questions or concerns. From the first visit, she took the time to get to know me and connect with me.

Don't be afraid to ask questions.

I underwent 3-4 Clomid and 4-5 Femara cycles with my OB/GYN between July 2017 and July 2018. IVF Cycle started October 2018. This protocol was used due to my age (42). My husband's sperm is within normal limits. Antagonist Protocol with Oral Contraceptives: Doxycycline 100mg by mouth twice a day (hubby and I) for 10 days Menopur 150IU Q AM & 75 IU Q PM Gonal F 75 IU Q AM & 150IU Q PM Cetrotide 0.25mg Q PM HCG 10,000 IU IM Retrieved 4 eggs, but none of them fertilized; despite ICSI being performed.

IVF of Florida only performs single embryo transfers due to the high risk nature of twin pregnancies for the mother and the babies.

Dr. Weitzman knew she was my last hope. We were on the waiting list for adoption when we met Dr. Weitzman. She did not push us one way or the other but encouraged us to make the decision that we felt best with. She did not waste our time with unnecessary tests and was honest with each answer. For example when I struggled to get my trigger shot correctly, she personally called me back at 11pm to talk me through it. When she’d see me in the hallway for my monitoring appointments she always updated me and hugged me. She got how important this was and what doing IVF meant to us.

Listen to her. She knows exactly what she’s talking about. But also be prepared to make the decisions for yourself. She won’t push you to do something you’re not comfortable with.

I was on birth control pills for 19 days. 4 days prior to birth control stopping I started 20 units of Lupron each night up until I triggered. I took 225 units of menopur daily and 225 units of gonal f daily. She put me on high doses to make sure I would stimulate.

For the total package of 2 IVF cycles with medicines it is about $ 35,000

My doctor prefers to do single embryo transfer. I trusts her judgement.

As a patient of Dr. Weitzman I felt very well taken care of. There was once a call to be made on my treatment (regarding the time of a trigger shot) when she was not on call. The doctor on call gave his instructions and after she reviewed it, she over-ruled them with her own instructions. She has a warm bedside manner and she is also direct.

She is very likeable and and she's a good doctor but the patient should expect that since she works in a large practice, the odds are unlikely that she will be the one performing any of the actual treatment procedures because the doctors are on an on-call rotation. If the timing of the procedure can be flexible (for example, a laparoscopy in some cases) then it's possible to schedule it with your own doctor.

The strategy that stands out to me is the timing of the trigger shot. The doctor on-call who reviewed my results that day while Dr. Weitzman was away, gave his instructions for a trigger shot the following night. Dr. Weitzman also reviewed the results and called to override those instructions, saying that the trigger shot should be doe that very night. The rationale was that there were follicles that were a good size but a few that were smaller. Dr. Weitzman didn't want to compromise the mature follicles waiting for the immature ones to catch up. It turned out to be the right call in my unprofessional opinion because I ended up with 8 eggs, nearly twice as many as I had ever had. I don't remember how many fertilized but it was also the first time I was able to freeze an embryo.

I think the costs were comparable to the other local clinics. I did not feel like I was nickle and dimed, which I have felt at other clinics.

The decision of how many to transfer (one or two) was definitely mine, but Dr. Weitzman strongly recommended one.

When I first decided I wanted to see Dr. Weitzman I did it based on a picture on the website. After our initial consultation 7.5 years ago she gave me something I had lost...hope. She is comforting, compassionate, eternally optimistic and the perfect example of the kind of doctor you want in your corner during this process. She has given me one beautiful son and has been there in my seemingly endless journey to #2.

Try to be patient and have faith in your doctor.

Very cold and rude. She was so unprofessional, bragging about her weekend to a nurse right on front of me. I had her retrieve my eggs two separate times and both retrievals were horrible. Both retrievals were so bad I had to recover for two weeks after her and we yielded no embryos. I had two other retrievals done by another doctor, Dr. Christy and I was back to normal after a few days and both times we had embryos. I begged my doctor not to have her do my egg retrieval, but that was unavailable.

Stay away from her. Do yourself a favor and get someone else to treat you.

Insurance covered large portion

We immediately felt a connection with Dr Weitzman when we met her. She is very warm and an extremely good communicator. She takes her time and never makes you feel rushed. She understands how time sensitive the procedures are and squeezed us in so we could make sure and not miss a cycle. Can not speak highly enough about her - she is the best.

Do a lot of research on the PGS before getting to that option. Unfortunately that is the one area she was unable to provide much guidance since it is elective.

The IUIs were around $1500 each, egg transfer was approximately $10k with Meds, $5k for embryo transfer. Another $5k for pgs.

IVF Florida and Weitzman only do eSET. We did not have the option to transfer two. However, we got pregnant on the first embryo transfer so I’m glad we didn’t!

I absolutely loved her except I only saw her twice-once on my first visit and the second at the review of all my diagnostic tests. Every other visit was with random nurses-never the same and rarely kind.

I don't know if you can ask questions about her involvement at the beginning but if you can and she can be part of each visit then she is wonderful!

She is excellent at our consultations and answers all questions. She is conservative and cautious as she gains data. She wants a healthy baby and mommy at they end. I just wish the practice is setup different. Nurses do lots of the tracking during IVF and to IUIs.

She follows recommendation and from my understanding only transfers 1 embryo the first time.

Dr. Weitzman seems like she just has a job. It's routine for her.

If you want a huge clinic that you get lost in this would be the one to choose.

It's very cookie cutter of a protocol they love to just cycle women at this clinic. There was no real plan for us here just to keep paying and cycling.

She was OK, didn't get a baby so can't rate her that high. She didn't do any of the egg transfers, we didn't talk to her that much either. She was just OK, going thru the typical routine. Don't know how high of a recommendation she would get because we didn't take home a aby even though we know it's not entirely her fault.

Weitzman did speak in a caring manner and took the time to answer the questions that my husband and I had. She also ordered a range of tests rather than going off of bloodwork from a previous clinic, which I appreciate. I have, however, heard from other clinics that they can try ivf with my own eggs. This makes me think that Dr. Weitzman either did not want to attempt it because low success rates hurt her numbers or she does not have adequate experience or research in relation to my diagnosis.

If you are diagnosed with POF or DOR, go in expecting to be given the "donor egg" speech.

I only went for a consultation and testing which included an AFC ultrasound and genetic testing.

I believe it was around $13,000 for an IVF cycle. The ultrasound was $1,000 and not covered by insurance.

For me and my husband we have many words to describe Dr Vanessa Weitzman she is smart sweet understanding very honest about everything trustworthy friendly very professional we had the most wonderful experience with her our journey was successful we are so grateful to meet her we can’t explain there is not enough words to thank her she give our lives the most beautiful daughter our miracle princess all our Thanks to her and all the staff they were wonderful Thank You!!!!!
