[Reproductive Medicine Institute's] nursing staff is kind, but the management is rude and unreasonable...billing errors, medical errors, including blood being drawn without need and tested for the wrong parameters)...initially admitted to their mistakes and apologized to me...I was dropped in the middle of a monitored letrozole/trigger shot cycle...proceeded to insult me personally and yell at me as I cried when they told me to never call again
How was your experience with Victoria Snegovskikh at Reproductive Medicine Institute?
I would not recommend RMI or Dr. Victoria to anyone seeking fertility assistance. Their nursing staff is kind, but the management is rude and unreasonable. I brought valid concerns to their attention (e.g., billing errors, medical errors, including blood being drawn without need and tested for the wrong parameters) and while they initially admitted to their mistakes and apologized to me, the next day I was dropped in the middle of a monitored letrozole/trigger shot cycle by Laura Wright, who proceeded to insult me personally and yell at me as I cried when they told me to never call again. Dr. Victoria was in the background agreeing, despite never mentioning any issues until then. She hung up on me repeatedly as I tried to speak and cited my crying as an example of how I am a “rude, mean person”. I have never observed such an unprofessional manner from anyone – Laura Wright should be ashamed of herself. In addition to the rude and unprofessional behavior, it was also medically unsafe. It turns out I had become pregnant under their care that cycle, but since they dropped me mid-cycle they had no one of knowing or did not care to follow up. Unfortunately, it was an ectopic pregnancy, so both my life and my future fertility were potentially threatened. Had they been a responsible healthcare provider, they would have at least seen me through my last monitored cycle before dropping me (again, for asking questions about ACTUAL medical and billing errors that they themselves admitted to and apologized for). That way, they could have identified the ectopic pregnancy earlier and I could have potentially avoided surgery. I simply cannot recommend this place to anyone, they have no empathy and apparently no care for the health or future of their ‘patients’ (more like ‘customers’). Moreover, their repeated errors in billing, incorrect prescriptions, and incorrect bloodwork orders made the whole process extremely stressful and difficult as I had to check everything that was being done (in addition to the stress of having infertility issues). Do yourself a favor and do not come to this clinic. They will insult you if you speak up on your behalf, and only care about your money.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Victoria Snegovskikh at Reproductive Medicine Institute?
Find another doctor and another clinic. Randy Morris at IVF1 is good.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Victoria Snegovskikh at Reproductive Medicine Institute?
They dropped me mid-cycle after I found they had drawn blood and tested for the wrong parameters, and additionally had repeated billing errors. I became frustrated and they apologized for their error. The next day they dropped me and called me a "mean person" as I was crying on the other line and proceeded to hang up on me 3 times in a row. Turns out I got pregnant that cycle with an ectopic that required surgery. This place and doctor do not care about you, your health, or your fertility. No one should go here. I have already submitted complaints against Dr. Victoria to the IL Licensing Board for malpractice.

Describe your experience with Reproductive Medicine Institute.
They do not care about you and make errors in both medical practice and billing. If you bring up the errors, they will drop you without hesitation, even if you are in the middle of a monitored cycle. I would not recommend this to anyone.

I had insurance coverage but they made multiple billing errors so who knows the true cost.

She [Dr. Snegovskikh] is honest yet delicate. She never makes you feel less than, never makes you feel like a failure. She sets realistic expectations. ... One weakness for me personally I think would be the financial department. Maybe it’s the amount of patients they [Women & Infants Hospital] have but sometimes they can take longer to get back to you. How was your experience with Victoria Snegovskikh at Women & Infants Hospital?
I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Victoria. She is honest yet delicate. She never makes you feel less than, never makes you feel like a failure. She sets realistic expectations. I feel Dr. Victoria truly understood my struggle and with every ounce thought she would succeed at getting me pregnant. When she saw I was down she was a great source of encouragement. She was always willing to speak with me, returning calls within the same day. She truly listens to what her patients want and works together with the couple. She is an amazing doctor.

The entire process can take more time than expected
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Victoria Snegovskikh at Women & Infants Hospital?
I meet Dr. Victoria in 2015 when I was under the care of a previous doctor who was leaving the practice. I was currently pregnant with twins. Dr. Victoria was taking over for the doctor leaving. From the moment I met her, I felt she was very caring and warm. She seemed elated to be in the ultrasound room and seeing two sacs in my uterus. Unfortunately that pregnancy resulted in a preteen loss. I have been going to the same clinic for 10 years. I did take a four year break in between. The staff actually remembers patients names. They and the doctors were always very welcoming and understanding. It’s a clinic I feel I can call any time and have my questions answered and needs met.
Describe the protocols Victoria Snegovskikh used in your cycles at Women & Infants Hospital and their degree of success.
I was seeing one of her colleagues before I switched to her. I had lining issues. Estrace was not my best friend and didn’t help thicken my lining as it should. I tried 2 cycles with the previous doctor each time reminding him of my concerns with my lining. He increased my retrace dosage but that still did not work. When I switched to her that was again my main concern. She switched my protocol to estrogen patches and also added vaginal viagra suppositories. She explained this protocol was not the norm but it tended to work for women with lining issues. I was so happy that she found another avenue and was willing to trying something unconventional. The first time we tried this protocol I got pregnant however, it ended in miscarriage due to a blighted ovum. The second time we followed this protocol it worked! I am currently 10 weeks 6 days pregnant and fingers crossed this will be my rainbow
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Women & Infants Hospital.
I have known this nursing staff for 10 years. The nurses here work so hard. They answer your questions, they perform the monitoring appointments, the do IUI’s. They call every afternoon with your next steps/plan after monitoring and blood work. The nurses are so compassionate that a few have even shed tears with me throughout some extremely difficult situations. They are your cheerleaders and the back bone of this clinic.
Describe your experience with Women & Infants Hospital.
I actually recommended this clinic to my best friend, so I think that speaks volumes as there are other options for care in my state. One weakness for me personally I think would be the financial department. Maybe it’s the amount of patients they have but sometimes they can take longer to get back to you. They are very efficient, the monitoring appointments can be quick. However the 7:00am to 7:15am timeslot can be very busy. The waiting area can get crowded.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Victoria Snegovskikh at Women & Infants Hospital.
The cost really depended on the type of cycle. For a frozen transfer it was about $4500 because I required additional monitoring and blood tests. For a conventional IVF with egg retrieval and transfer about $17,000.
Describe Victoria Snegovskikh's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Women & Infants Hospital.
She recommended a multiple embryo transfer for us. In all my transfers but 1 we had transferred 2 embryos. I got pregnant with twins once which unfortunately resulted in a preteen loss at 23 weeks due to an incompetent cervix. After which I went to Boston and had a trans abdominal cerclage placed laparoscopically. After that procedure we had transferred more than 1 embryo but only 1 took each time.
The process was frustrating and i didn’t feel like I was given specific treatment for my my PCOS. ... I found her [Dr. Snegovskikh] to be cold and not as compassionate as I needed. ... We had 16 failed cycles in a row and I didn’t feel like Dr. Victoria went out of her way to assist with our care beyond ordering another IUI. ... Don’t expect a lot of compassion and go in fully prepared to as the right questions and press her for more information. Book appointments early because there is a long wait to see her.
Clean, appointments for lab work or ultrasounds were easy to get. Parking was easy. Nurses [Women And Infants Hospital] performed all procedures so I very rarely saw the doctor. Easy location to get to. Very limited services offered such as counseling, nutrition, or holistic assistance. ... Nurses left lengthy voicemails if I missed their call and would book subsequent appointments for me, which I appreciated.
How was your experience with Victoria Snegovskikh at Women & Infants Hospital?
I wasn’t satisfied with my experience. I found her to be cold and not as compassionate as I needed. I didn’t feel like the reasons why my treatment was ineffective was fully explained. It took over 6 weeks to see her which means we missed a cycle. I didn’t feel empowered and fully confident with my experience. We had 16 failed cycles in a row and I didn’t feel like Dr. Victoria went out of her way to assist with our care beyond ordering another IUI.

There was a six week wait to see my doctor which I didn’t appreciate. When I did see her, I didn’t feel as though I came away with the information that I was seeking. The process was frustrating and i didn’t feel like I was given specific treatment for my my PCOS.
