He knew what he was talking about. Not much information was given to me as an obese, early 30- something with PCOS. I asked questions, but often got no answers. He was nice enough, was knowledgeable, but it wasn’t always easy to listen because he wasn’t very emotionally supportive to me. I’m not sure if it was because of my size, or his judgements when looking at a woman of my size; all I can say is that I didn’t always feel welcome, or treated like a woman whom may be 140lbs. Don’t get me wrong, he was nice, but there was definitely a part of him that didn’t seem to want to truly help me. In the end, I was told that I wasn’t a candidate for much else from his office, and that my only next step was for me to lose the weight and come back after that happened. I still have questions, I still don’t understand why I don’t ovulate, when my hormones are supposedly “in normal ranges”. I was disappointed and felt left alone, and I didn’t get the answers I need to understand what is wrong with my fertility. Being a fertility doctor, I expected to get help, especially when I paid good money for it.

This doctor is good for more of a direct, no frills approach to the doctor-patient relationship.

Gave me two rounds of clomid, to try to jump start my period (annovultaion), and the second round was to do testing. Neither time did my period come fully, nor did I ovulate either time.

I had HMO, roughly $45 oop for each appointment. Plus testing. It wasn’t that bad, that I remember.

Phenomenal experience. The entire staff, from front desk to nurses and support staff help contribute to an irreplaceable atmosphere. I’m grateful to know that my embabies are “from a place of love” rather cultivated in a money hungry lab.

Be patient, and ready for honest conversations with the provider. He’s not a coddle type of doctor, but he’s willing to listen and articulate the best path for the patient.

I tried cycles with Femara (iui) with no success. Tried cycles with injections of hormones for retrieval with success but my estrogen remained low, tried for a transfer but my hormones were still too low. Went to up my dose again, but then the clinics put everything on pause for the Covid. I’ll be waiting for it to lift before proceeding further.

Reasonable with my insurance. Nothing has been a shock

Doctor was adamant about me only transferring one egg- just for safety. Because I make enough eggs he didn’t have any reasoning why I should transfer two- but did tell me in the future if the course changes that’s a topic for down the road.

He remembers conversations we’ve had. He is always friendly and kind and wants me to have my mini me. Even when I wasn’t scheduled to see him, he pops his head in to say hi. He’s held my hand and dried my tears. He even told me he wants to be invited to the baby shower. I’m not pregnant yet. I will be very sad to graduate from his clinic.

He wants you to have your baby and will do everything he can.

Letrazole for 3 cycles. He doubled the dose on the 4th cycle. Four failed IuIs. GonalF 300, menopur 75, cetrotide IvF 1, pgs testing, 4 abnormal embryos (8 eggs retrieved, 7 eggs mature, 5 fertilized, 4 made it to day 5) GonalF 300, Menopur 150, Cetrotide, IVF 2, currently 3 embryos biopsies, waiting for results (9 eggs retrieved, 6 fertilized, 3 made it to day 5)

We haven’t gotten to transfer. Due to my age, we decided on genetic testing of our embryos. If we get to transfer, it will be 1 at a time.

Dr Troche was exactly what I wanted in a fertility dr. He listened to what our concerns were and also guided us through treatment every step of the way telling us what would happen and making sure we understood what was going to happen. I was so very nervous to try IVF and he made it seem not so scary and calmed my nerves.

Ask him all your questions. He will answer every single one of them!

Our situation only allowed us to do IVF. I don’t remember all the medications names but I had to do 3 shots in my tummy every day for 11 days before retrieval then after transfer day I did one shot in the bum every day until they confirmed pregnancy. During the time I started shots up to transfer day I was in the office about every other day to make sure everything was going smoothly. After they confirmed pregnancy they put me on progesterone cream to until 12 weeks to make sure I was getting the hormone.

We happened to be doing ivf on his 25 year of practice so he had a special 25% off treatment. So I believe we paid about 7000 in treatment cost.

He is a nice person and as a Doctor he is kind and tells you how it is. His theories however, are outdated and not modern. He was never positive and I always requested for him to become more positive when he saw me. each time I saw him he said that my round is not good and its a very bad cycle but he also said it wouldn't get better. I actually did not agree considering my DOR and asked to proceed with 5 eggs retrieved. I do not feel that this doctor had my best interest at heart and was more concern with his stats.

My best advice is when you start to get that feeling like the office doesn't really care about the overall journey you are facing, to get a second opinion. I know this is the only fertility in the West Valley but the drive is worth the feeling of comfort

Very open to questions and always explained all possible courses of treatment in complete detail. During procedures he would explain everything as the procedure was taking place and was concerned that I was doing ok. Made sure myself and my husband understood everything before leaving his office.

Ask questions and look at all possible options

Treatment strategies were to get my body go ovulate with oral fertility meds (femara). Take provera for 7 days and then once a period began I was to take femara on days 5-9 of period. Get labs completed to check progesterone levels on days 21, 22 or 23. Wait for assistant to call with results. 1st round was not successful so we did the process again with the highest dose of femara. Currently waiting to do labs in another week.

For the most part, insurance covered most of the visits after I put up a fight with the insurance company. I have had to pay my deductible and copays

Dr Troche performed every ultrasound that I needed, he performed my endometrial scratch, and he performed my embryo transfer. He makes every effort to perform each procedure needed in his patients care plan.

Learn to have faith in your physician. IVF is very difficult and even in perfect situations it doesn't always work. After all of the difficulties my husband and I endured with our first physician, Dr Troche was finally the breath of fresh air we needed to be able to continue our IVF journey.

I switched to Dr Troche after my egg retrieval done at IVF Phoenix. Dr Troche used estrogen pills and progesterone injection/suppositories to build my uterine lining, prednisone to decrease inflammation, doxycycline for prophylactic bacteria treatment. My embryo transfer was a pretty standard protocol.

Most physician I think are trying to follow the SART guidelines as best as possible and with that it is recommended to do single transfers. Dr. Troche allowed us to transfer two embryos because we knew the risks and possibility of a multiple pregnancy and we were okay with that prior to the transfer.

I was so happy to have found Dr. Troche and his team. They are a small fertility clinic but every person that works there shows 100% focus on me when I am there. I can tell that the clinic communicates internally very well because each person I work with knows where I am at in my process. They always cover all questions even before I knew that I would have that question. At first they were very reserved in my treatment plan until I said I wanted to be more aggressive. The next time we discussed treatment Dr. Troche understood my schedule and adjusted the treatment plan to be much more aggressive. I trust this clinic more than I have ever trusted a doctor and his team. They are wonderful!

Stop wasting your time seeing your OBGYN and start seeing Dr. Troche.

Clomid three cycles with ultrasounds and bloodwork. Now starting first cycle of IVF.

My insurance covered most of the cost. The clinic had a billing coordinator that provided us a paper with what our out of pocket cost should average. It was $35 per visit and $795 for freezing our embroys

He is very knowledgeable and very honest. He didn’t sugar coat anything or give us false hope. He explained what is to be expected to prepared us. He comforted us when we had our second miscarriage under his care. We felt that he knew what he was doing and that we were in good hands.

Listen and trust what he says, even if it’s not what you want to hear.

Previously before his care, I had used clomid which didn’t work. Femara did. My son died at 3 days old. I had a partial molar pregnancy which resulted in 4 months of chemo. After that Femara alone wasn’t working. Knowing this, after Dr Troché had us complete necessary testing, we went to IUI. We tried Femara with IUI first which didn’t work. Next we tried injectables with IUI which dud euro but it was an early miscarriage at 8 weeks. He left the decision up to us and reminded us that the IUI with injectables worked. There was no pressure to move to IVF. We decided to do IVF to have the embryos tested since both miscarriages were chromosome related (triploidy/partial molar pregnancy - 69 chromosomes and trisomy 7). We completed the egg retrieval and had 29 eggs, 18 mature, 15 fertilized, 6 made it to day 5 and 4 were normal. We transferred one. Due to age and history he said one or two and left the decision up to us. Everything went smoothly although there were many bumps in the road.

He took the time to make sure we were all on the same page step by step, what to expect and what our chances of success were. He wasn't pushy and wanted us to be comfortable with our next procedures with what he recommended. I wish he performed the IUI himself, it would have made it feel a little more personable but his staff was also excellent.

Be patient, there may be slight language barriers. Ask a lot of questions and do your own research.

Clomid was used outside of any treatment such as IUI. I researched Femara being a better medication to use without much side effects. I don't recall feeling bad side effects from either medication but Troche was willing to adjust from clomid to Femara and explained the differences. He prescribed a low general dose as my body normally does what it's supposed to on its own. Gave instructions for the HCG trigger and the staff provided us with take home info so we can administer it ourselves once they saw my follicles were at an ideal size and I was ready to ovulate. IUI did not work. Once we came back for a follow up Troche wanted to focus more on my husbands morphology which at the time was 1%. He referred us to a urologist and a varicocelectomy was performed. His numbers went into the "normal" range and we decided to give ourselves time to try naturally. We are now going on 1.5 years from his procedure and are ready to try treatments again.

Insurance doesn't cover a darn thing so everything was out of pocket MINUS SA analysis. All copays were tolerable ($90 I want to say but that could have changed). I asked if they offered anytype of discounts but that was a no go. I wish a simple IUI was cheaper. Grants would be awesome, law enforcement discounts would have helped but nothing was offered. Overall it was manageable.

He is blunt and honest and at first you may feel like he is being harsh, but he explains everything and when I was crying after he mentioned my weight, he sought me out and consoled me and told me it would happen, we just had to work at it. Which I did, it meant a lot and I liked that he made my husband understand that he needs to be there and support me through this entire process. He also recognized when I was being successful and acknowledged that. He always explained his reasoning behind things and was very honest about our course of treatment.

Understand he has you, your partner and your future children's best interest in mind.

We went right to IVF due to severe male factor. We did birth control, menopur, gonal-f and cetrotide. Then after retrieval progesterone, suppositories, antibiotics.

We had insurance so we sat with the financial counselor and she explained our coverage and what we would need to pay out of pocket. They were very thorough and no surprises.

He preferred one or two, no more. He is not a fan of multiple births due to the increased complications.

Dr Troche had fantastic bedside manner and really took his time with both me and my husband. He made it clear I was the priority as josh patient but definitely checked in with my husband to address any and all questions/concerns from him as well. My husband felt very comfortable with Dr Troche.

Trust him and clearly state your desires and intentions. He absolutely wants to honor your wishes so let him know what they are.

Our first IUI was without any meds since we knew for sure that I ovulated every month. That was unsuccessful so the next one we did Clomid. That ended up thinning my uterine lining to much so he switched to another oral med (can’t remember the name). None of the IUI cycles were successful so he recommended IVF with ICSI due to my husband’s low motility and morphology. We did stimulation with injections and ended up retrieving 36 eggs (28 mature) and attempted to fertilize 8 eggs. 7 were successful but only 4 continued to grow after 3 days. I ended up with OHSS so we froze the 4 embryos and waited about 45 days while my body recovered. Our first transfer, the first embryo that was prepared did not survive the thawing process, so only one embryo was transferred, which resulted in a chemical pregnancy. Our second round, Dr Troche said he would be willing to transfer our remaining 2 embryos if we were ok with the idea of having twins. He explained all the risks of a twin pregnancy given my small frame and ultimately supported us in our decision to proceed. Again, however, one embryo did not survive the thawing process so only 1 embryo was transferred. This resulted in a positive pregnancy test and our first ultrasound at 7 weeks confirmed the embryo had split and I had conceived identical twins. I carried the twins all the way to my scheduled c-section date at 37 weeks and all of use ended up healthy with no complications. 2 years later I spontaneously conceived another baby who was also perfectly healthy. We then asked Dr Troche to dispose of the rest of my frozen eggs since we feel our family is complete.

My insurance covered about 75% of medications, and 50% of procedures associated with infertility treatment. Out of pocket we probably paid a total of about $5000 total for 3 cycles IUI and 2 cycles IVF

He was hesitant to transfer more than one embryo at a time for me but ultimately, after explaining all risk factors and considerations, he supported our decision to transfer 2 embryos since we had already had a failed cycle of IVF.

I loved the clinic and all of the staff. I went there for multiple years and when I miscarried, everyone was so supportive. If it wasn’t for Dr. Troche and his wonderful staff, I wouldn’t have my beautiful 3 year old son. I am very greatful for each and everyone there.

Be patient. Infertility is a long process but Dr. Troche is amazing and will definitely get you there.

We started out with Clomid to help with ovulation. Then we moved onto a different oral medication. When those didn’t work we went to injections along with a trigger shot. That worked on the 3rd or 4th try but I miscarried. We did one more round with no luck. Then my husband and took a year off from trying. When we went back we did 2 more rounds of injections with no luck. They told me we had little chance of conceiving so we moved to IVF. First round of IVF resulted in my son.

Leading up to my IVF, my insurance covered everything. For my cycle of IVF , they some how got my medication approved through my insurance so I didn’t have to pay for that. They gave me a military discount so I only paid 8000 for my fresh cycle of IVF

Dr. Troche only put in one embryo because he said that 2 wouldn’t be safe. He was worried about me carrying multiples and since I was only 28, he didn’t see a point to adding in more.

The doctor is great he tells you the statistics and chances realistically. He doesn’t really believe in experimenting he goes more by the book which can be a negative when you have multiple failed cycles. I do think he is great I just wish he would try more out of the box options

Ask the questions and push for what you want

Iui was gonal f and many ultrasound IVF was menopur gonal f progesterone etc One ERA cycle was canceled due to a thick lining and my estrogen patches were changed to pills and I was able to continue that way

I had fertility insurance. Iuis were about 750 and I paid $1700 for retrieval plus $200 per transfer and future transfer will be $1100. Consults we’re about $170 depending on insurance. Era was $464

I felt like I was in good hands of an experienced professional, someone who cared about his patients and truly wanted everyone to succeed. He always took the time to explain everything in detail to me, to walk me through my ultrasounds, explain every change to treatment and how it would benefit our scenario.

Ask him any and every question you have. Do not hesitate to ask him anything.

Every round was different. I appreciated that I never felt stagnant after multiple IUI attempts.

All my visits and treatments have been covered by insurance thus far.

dr. Troche is confident and calm. He has a good sense of humor, but is serious about his medicine. We had no doubt that we would have success. he had accepted embryos from a closed clinic, and was very confident that he could help us conceive successfully. He used far less drugs and a much lower stress environment and we achieved twin pregnancy!

He does have an accent that takes some getting used to.

As our frozen embryo transfer was 13 years ago, I do not remember the specifics of the cost. However there was minimal drugs and minimal expense.

I was referred to Troche from a few people that were successful with him. But given the chance to repeat history I would have chosen a different clinic. While I feel he is not a terrible RE, I believe that could have been other treatments to help determine our issue and find a path for us to become parents.

Unfortunately, my experience with Troche I would not recommend this clinic. I believe I wasted my one chance at becoming mother.

We were diagnosed with male factor as my husband had poor morphology. We were able to improve the morphology percentage prior to our retrieval. With that diagnosis we decided against IUI and went straight to IVF. While being in our late 20’s/ early 30’s, Dr. Troche advised us that we did would not likely benefit front genetic testing. I’m hindsight, I wish we had. It could have cleared up some questions on embryo issues of implantation issues. Our first transfer with the retrieval ( 1 embryo), resulted in a negative. A few months later we completed a FET with 2 embryos, resulting in a chemical pregnancy.

I do not remember specifics. I believe they were competitive.
